Audiovox's affordable D1530 features a 5.8-inch LCD widescreen (16:9 aspect ratio) and compatibility with DVD-Video, VCD/SVCD, audio CD, CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3-encoded discs. Take it on the plane, on the bus, or even in the car for the kids--a supplied adapter lets you power the unit right from a dashboard cigarette lighter. It also includes a slim, card-sized full-function remote control for hassle-free operation in tight quarters. Both Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel surround-sound signals can be routed through the player's coaxial digital-audio output for direct connection to a full-featured audio/video receiver. Composite-video and stereo analog-audio inputs and outputs let you hook up additional AV gear for viewing through the D1530. All audio and video inputs and outputs are of the minijack .125-inch size, so compatible adapter cables are required (one stereo analog audio and one composite-video cable are supplied). S-video and composite-video outputs simplify hookup with your home TV. If you don't have a surround receiver or six-channel speaker setup, you can still make every movie night the ultimate experience: Q-Surround Sound simulates surround sound through two speakers or headphones. Playback options include frame-by -frame slow motion, zoom (image magnification and reduction), multiple angle viewing (with applicable discs), and 20-track programmable sequencing. The supplied rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to three hours of playback (power consumption depends on the operations of the player, such as screen brightness, volume level, etc).
