Rating: Summary: Best DVD Player! Review: I just bought this player and i am still left breathless. It is the best dvd player that i have ever seen and has all the features you will need!! it will play anything that you put in it!! i love it!
Rating: Summary: Inexpensive, dependable and easy to use. Review: If you have never owned a DVD player before, then this just might be the model for you. It is easy to set up, lightweight and dependable. It works with or without a digital reciever, so you probably can add it to your existing setup without trouble, and the remote has large enough buttons for those of us with less dexterous hands. The digital display on the unit is large enough to read from 10 feet away, which is a good thing since the "on-screen menu" is truly tiny (ie: useless) on my 19" screen. It really is a decent DVD/CD player, especially for those purchasing one for the first time.
Rating: Summary: Just amazing... I think! Review: Well, this is my first DVD player and I absolutely adore it. No problems, a lot of features, sounds great, a very good price... what more else can I say. I looked at reviews, specs and prices for about a month before deciding to buy, and I'm glad that I got this one.
Rating: Summary: why pay more? Review: To me, a DVD player is just a toy. I want to be able to hook it up to my little receiver and my 20 inch tv and enjoy the DVD experience. This little number gives great quality at a great price, plus a few extras. Three GREAT features to note: 1. MP3 player. I didn't get it for this function, and I figured it wouldn't play my old discs. But I just popped one in and away it went. 2. Plays CD-R and CD-RWs. Not many players in this price range can do this. 3. One-touch sound settings. Smart feature that makes it easy to make quick changes to the sound. Three MINOR annoyances: 1. The only dolby digital output is optical, which means you need a [$..-..] fiber optic cable to hook it to a receiver. If you're going right to the TV though it's fine. 2. No random play of MP3s. It cuts down the usefullness of being able to put 200 songs on one disc if you have to wait 15 hours to hear the ones at the end. 3. The on-screen menus are a little hard to see, and you have to figure out what each icon is supposed to represent. That's about all the complaints I have about it. If you want a quality player at a good price with some nifty features, this is the one.
Rating: Summary: It's Better Than That Oritron! Review: I realize I payed a little more than I had to but I rather pay a little more now and have something that works than have some cheap junk.I don't have any problem playing T2,The Matrix,Ms. Congeniality,The Good,The Bad & The Ugly and a bunch of other stuff. It didn't cost a grand but it definitely serves the purpose. One screwup on Panasonic's part:that microscopic Top menu. It's very hard to see unless you're right on the tv.Although I still do prefer Sony,Panasonic/Technics,Toshiba or Pioneer over some junk like Apex,Oritron or RCA (sorry guys but your quality level has dipped severely)My superb playing and sounding Panasonic DVD-RV31 is on the money!
Rating: Summary: Good machine, low price Review: I bought this player last week, and it has been very good so far. There are a few reviews that say this machine can't play The Matrix, but I didn't have a single problem through the entire movie, it worked just fine for me. So overall, I am pleased with the machine, with the exception of the mp3 playback, there is no on-screen display, which makes selecting songs a little awkward. A pretty good buy considering its low price.
Rating: Summary: THE BEST OF THE BEST Review: I literally spent 3-4 hours scouring the ...(web)sight for a DVD player w/ a combination of all the features I wanted. This one was it. It plays CD, CD-R, & CD-RW. That alone is a rarity. It has optical digital output (despite the fact that on the comparison chart this feature is not indicated). This unit has consistently excellent reviews. It has a GREAT price, & is available for shipping in a very reasonable time frame. ....The sound quality is outstanding, the picture is clear as crystal & sharp as a razor's edge. It's way EZ to use. This unit also has a bunch of other great features that one wouldn't expect at this price. I have had NONE of the problems that are mentioned in the reviews for the units that are in the same & lesser price ranges. TRUST ME, you will not find a better unit, with more features, in this price range. Clearly Panasonic has set the benchmark.
Rating: Summary: Whats not to like! Review: This is my first DVD player. I looked at others within this price range with compairable features and found this DVD player to be above all. I found the Remote eazy to use and the on screen instruction to be useful and very well laid out. The picture crisp and sharp, and the sound great. The front panel buttons eazy to figure out and all the features worked as advertize. I rented "The Matrix" and it played along with a number of the other titles, and not the first glicth. The playback on my MP3s worked and sound great,as did the other formats. This is a great Player For the money. The only way you could have any problems is that you have a bad cable or you just don't have it set up right! So read the instruction, there eazy to understand! I recommed this to any buyer.
Rating: Summary: Muy bueno!!!!
Rating: Summary: My First DVD Player Review: This is my first DVD player. Hooked to a 35" Sony & looks GREAT. Love the 100X search feature. Would be nice if it had zoom, but that is not really a biggie. What WOULD REALLY be nice is the pan & scan like PowerDVD on the PC. With PowerDVD I can play a 2.35:1 DVD at 1.85:1 or 4:3. Personally I prefer 1.85:1, but most DVD's seem to be 2.35:1. Really waists a lot of screen space, even on a 16:9 TV. So far pan & scan has done nothing on this machine....
