Summary: DVD Eater?
Review: Loved the machine out of the box, but after we loaded a dvd we hit the eject button and out came the tray -- but no dvd! I managed to extract the disc, but it wasn't easy. It hasn't happened since (I just got it last week), but I'd be curious if this is a common problem.

Summary: Amazing value.
Review: Originally purchased as a player for a little TV in my office, this bargain-basement machine was forced into service on our big screen when my high-end Sony went down. The result? The video output was actually sharper and the audio was just as good! Hmmm.

Summary: Sleek design... Great value
Review: Sleek design comapred to 300 model... Played CD-RW, SVCD, DVD's, MP3s in first try ... like the S-VIDEO and Optical outputs. Used the hack from dvdrhelp.com to make it region free system.

Summary: Looks to be a great player
Review: The DP300 was a great player and this one looks to be one also... Can anyone try the following hack to see if it causes this player to be region free?

1. Turn on the power.
2. Eject the disc tray
3. Push 8-5-6-1 on the remote

Thanks!

Summary: Compact and User Friendly
Review: The DVD player has a classy look. Works great with all electronics, even digital TVs. It is SO easy to use, I've never even had to open the user's manual.

Summary: Merely adequate
Review: The player is cheaply constructed.

More importantly, DVD-R discs of various type play, but there are firmware problems prohibiting accurate chapter forward and backward movement using the skip button. I found several DVD-R discs that play on other players that will not play on this unit.

The remote control is large and has a strange and non-intuitive key layout.

Some of the LCD displays must be in Chinese, since they make no sense in English!

The front panel so-called 'jog' is a joke...again unintuitive layout and incomplete buttons for control.

There are better inexpensive players out there!

Summary: BAD DVD
Review: This is the worst DVD player ever! I bought two of these and one broke on the first day and the other broke on the second day. Both of them ate the disks and I had to pry the DVD player apart jsut to get it open. This DVD player is just a piece of crap.

Summary: 110 to 220V
Review: This one does not have a special power outlet for 220V should we just use plug the 110V wire into the 220V outlet

Summary: Region break for 302V
Review: Well this is what many of you are waiting for, I have this player and I just now got rid of the region...
Do this -
Power on
Open/Close
Setup (You'll see the setup screen)
8 8 8 8
Press "Next" (>>| button i.e. chapter change button)
The setup screen flashes and you'll see that a new button "Version" appears on the screen. There you can set the region code to 0.

Now I have no been able to test the player with multiple region DVD(s) but I am sure it would work. Well DP300 hack was working.
btw all credit for this to www.regionfreedvd.net
