Summary: Another winner from Norcent
Review: I purchased several units of DVD model DP300 and was extremely pleased with them so I thought I would try this unit out as well. This unit is ultra slim and has a full size chassis so it fits perfect in the home theater rack. Performane has been flawless and the price was even better. This is the best DVD player in the market for the $$.

Summary: Tested - works vey well in India (220-240V, PAL TV System) !
Review: I talked with my brother in India. He was successfully able to play DVDs in India without any issues by directly plugging in AC outlet (without 240/220 v to 120/110 v convertor) and by selecting Pal from N/P button. It is awesome!! Go for it!! Very small, very good. Highly recommended. A++++

Summary: Playing DVD's from France on American machines
Review: I was delighted to be able to play three DVD's my son brought back from a summer's study in Paris. I teach French and German, and was disappointed that I had three, brand-new DVD's I couldn't play. Thanks to a hack shared by Vijay from Napierville, I was able to set the Region to 0, and enjoy my DVD's. Only problem, the volume is a little screwy: the background sound is loud, but the dialogue is very soft. I just may need to do some more tweaking. The actual picture quality was at least as good as my $200 Panasonic!

Summary: Foreign disc player.
Review: I was looking for a DVD without region code lock. Most machines are >$300, since they add a chip. Found info on DVDhelp.com. They didn't have this model since it is new. An older model 300 had a code you could imput thru the controller, and lets you look at DVD disc from thruout the world. I took a chance on this inexpensive machine, and the trick worked. Now I've moved my expensive Sony 5 discs player to my bedroom, and hook this to my big screen TV. Plays DVD, VCD with no problems. Only had it for 2 weeks, can't wait to try other types of discs. DIVX doesn't work, but I didn't think it would.

Summary: I take it back
Review: In my previous review I stated that this unit is not multiregional. I take that back. There is a way to configure it to be multiregional.
Find it at www.nerd-out.com

Works like a charm.

I love the unit and it's one of the best buys at Amazon.

Summary: Best value for the money
Review: It is the best DVD player out of 4 I have for such a less price. It has great features. I bought it for India where it is PAL and 240 Volts. I didn't check it in India yet. I'll keep you posted. Nice sleek design. GO FOR IT !!!

Summary: Is the input voltage 110-240V 50-60Hz?
Review: It was said in the commercial of the DP300 that the input voltage was 110-240V 50-60Hz but that's not true. I wonder if the same thing happens to the DP302. If you have this product, could you let me know at dvt@ou.edu?

The second problem with the DP300 is that the mp3 playback function doesn't work well with the drum's sound. Is it improved in the DP302?
Thanks

Summary: good, region free player
Review: It's cheap and well featured. I have another player that is supposed to play mp3's and my video cd's and it doesn't, but this cheap player works perfectly and even with very low quality CD's.

The user interface is pretty basic, boring looking but it's functional and let's face it, this isn't why we buy these things.

This unit is small, and does not look unattractive either.

I would also like to confirm that the published region free hack listed in other reviews on Amazon works perfectly. Yes, that's for this specific model the DP-302V.
