Summary: Panasonic DVD-LA95 Portable DVD Player
Review: A great player, picture quality is excellent, overall use is quite simple. Recommend the purchase of the optional extended life battery. The internal battery is typically good for one complete DVD playback. Sound quailty is great, headset use just makes it that much better.

Summary: Finally worth buying
Review: A little too high priced up to now - under $... - it's a full size portable with nice options like in/out audio and video.
I use this as my main DVD player with my home theater.
But I enjoy listening to DVD sound on the road, too. So get a cassette adapter and a cig power plant and it's great.

The battery it comes with is not that hot. Get a decent pair of headphones and you'll love the sound options when traveling. The nine inch screen give you widescreen options for those DVD's not letterboxed or formated in Widescreen.

I would buy this one again. It's finally worth the price.

Summary: This is THE one...
Review: First, I've owned this unit for over five months--don't waste your time reading reviews of someone who has only had their product a few days. I shopped around on-line and narrowed my list down to three. At the time, this wasn't the cheapest one, but it offered all the features I wanted, and the size was just about right.

I wanted the biggest screen I could afford without it being overbearing or cumbersome. The unit is lightweight, thin, and will fit nicely into any briefcase configuration you can imagine. I use it on a treadmill with headphones. It fits perfectly into the book ledge.

With headphones and with the screen dimmed a little, I can get more than two hours out of one battery charge. The speakers are adequate but their range of sound is limited to dialogue and a little bit of background music. With the headphones you get a great viewing experience.

I really liked watching movies on my laptop because of the portability and privacy. It's like you're in your own little world. This player makes the experience perfect because of its smaller size and lighter weight.

It seems reliable enough--I'm sure I've watched over 200 hours by now. It shows no signs of wear.

Summary: Read on.
Review: Great form factor.
Nice internal battery (located in the hinge on the screen)
Great Sound.
Extra battery option.

I give it three stars because...
You can see all the square pixels on the screen even 2 feet away. So instead on seeing detail of somebodies face, you see tiny squares. The cheaper initial didnt have this problem if i recall correctly.

Also company should of included extra Vga out cable. Cost them a couple bucks and a spare is good to have.

Summary: Best I have seen yet!!
Review: I bought an dvd-la95 to replace my broken dvd-l50. Wow, what a difference!! No only does the la95 have the 9" screen, but crystal clear picture. I was skeptical when I heard that the speakers weren't too good, but they are great! I think people were expecting too much out of this little unit. The speakers are really pretty good compared to other units I have seen. Of course you are going to get awesome surround sound when you plug in headphones which makes the experience even better. I bought mine for traveling and as a space saver and suggest you do the same.

Summary: THIS DVD PLAYER IS GREAT!!!!!
Review: I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY 12 YEAR OLD SON FOR CHRISTMAS OF 2003. HE HAS HAD IT FOR OVER A YEAR AND USES IT JUST ABOUT EVERY DAY. IT IS GREAT!! IT WOULD BE NICE IF THE BATTERY LASTED A LITTLE LONGER BUT, THAT IS OKAY, AS LONG AS YOU PURCHASE AN INVERTER FOR LONG TRIPS.

Summary: Go ahead...Spend the Money...It's WORTH It!
Review: I bought this for myself for Christmas and I hesitated because I didn't want to spend the money. I hmmmmed and hawed and finally took a chance. I'm SO glad I did. Not only has it come in handy for me when I'm traveling, but it has kept my kids entertained while we waited over an hour to see the pediatrician and helped calm my daughter's nerves while we waited at the hospital for her to go in for surgery. We've even taken it to the Emergency Room and you KNOW how long you have to wait.

The picture size is great and it's not too heavy to carry with you in your backpack or tote. I even use it at home, by hooking it up to our television with the cable that's included. The remote makes it easy to control from across the room.

The only drawbacks are that the battery doesn't seem to last very long...I've gotten just under 2 hours from it, but I understand you can purchase a larger battery for it.

My other complaint is that the remote control has no volume control, which can be a pain at times, but I usually use the thing in the car during road trips and on the plane, so it's in my lap anyway and I don't even use the remote.

I know it's pricey, but the price has come down dramatically in just these last 4 months since I got mine. Go ahead...buy it...you'll like it!

Summary: It's a really good unit but...
Review: I bought this model back at the end of August and it had to be repaired by the beginning of October, less than two months after purchasing it. The built in battery would not operate. I brought it in to be repaired and it was fixed, sort of, the unit will run on the built in battery, it just won't recharge it. I had to return it to the repair center and it is still there. The repair technicians told me he is still waiting for the part(s) to arrive. He has already complained to Panasonic about the delay and they keep telling him it's on it's way, but so far nothing has shown up. He said the problem with the built in battery appears to be common with this particular unit.

If it wasn't for this, I would give the unit 5 stars and recommend it because it does work great. I have also used the optional battery pak and can get at the least 4 hours of running time before recharging. There has been no problems recharging the optional battry pak only the built in battery.
