Review: This is a fairly decent DVD player for a very reasonable price! Some features that I like: - Good picture quality, I was very impressed! -plays multiple formats including DVD-video, DVD-R, JPEG picture disks, CD-R, CD-RW and MP3-encoded CDs. -DVD player itself is easy to use -Compatible with almost all televisions, including HDTV Some things I didn't like: -Remote is not as easy to use, many other DVD players have more intuitive and user friendly remotes -Audio isn't as good as many other DVD players Overall, considering the inexpensive price, the pros far outweigh the cons. It's a great "starter" DVD player, or great for those on a tight budget. Some of the pricier DVD players have more options and work slightly better, but this one is decent. For the price, you can hardly go wrong.

One thing to watch out for when reading Amazon reviews: If someone has truely owned over $100,000 of different Pansonic products, why would they purchase numerous Panasonic DVD players when they consider them the most unreliable brand?

Summary: Why don't you take Panasonic to court
Review: This is a know problem with Panasonic. It has been addressed and has been said that it is not a problem just like the Panasonic Telephones. You all need to takle Panasonic to court and get a court order to release all records from 2002- 2004 for the H0 error codes. You also need to get a court order to have all Panasonic Customer Care and Call Center personnel tell you what they know have have been told. You all can cry and every thing else. These are the products that you should be looking at DVD's,Panasonic Telephones, Microwaves, Big Screen TV's. These are not just to do a run on Panasonic but they are lieing to the people and not following thier founders rules. They are greedy and just out for your money and to save a buck. Yes they know about this problem and have know for years but they will not help you. except to charge you for a new unit or make you pay as the warranty of the DVD player is 90 days labor 1 year on parts Labor will kill you can buy a new one cheaper.

Just like many other people who have bought Panasonic DVD players, the display reads "H02" whenever I put in a disc. This means that the motor can't spin up any more. My understanding is that it has burned out and costs just as much as a new DVD player to repair. I won't buy Panasonic again.

Summary: For all those with H02 error
Review: This message is for all those who have encountered the H02 or H07 errors. I have a similar Panasonic DVD palyer: Model 35S and had H02/H07 error.After much investigation i found that although the problem seems to be of motor it is actually "dirty lens" that causes the motor to stop. A good lens cleaning cures the problem. If air spray or lens cleaner CD doesnt work open up the dvd palyer and clean the lens with alcohol based aftershave or nail paint remover. (You may have to rotate a wheel under the DVD tray to get to the lens.) Hope this helps all the troubled souls. navendu

Summary: dvd users love it
Review: This unit has one of the higest ratings for long term durablity and working with various media of any player out there. if you go to videohelp dot com you can see the unit now has a rating of 9.5 stars after two years of use. Not one mention of the failure some person has made multiple posts about. someone with sour grapes got another panasonic unit two years ago (just before they changed drive manufacture plant to the most reliable one there is). they are using the same lannguage and diction to post a bad review of every single panasonic product! Don't believe it, look at the long term use reviews on the site I mentioned. these are dvd afficianodos using units over a year or two and reviewing them. This is a great unit and one of THE MOST DURABLE.

Summary: Reads all media...but junk
Review: Unit reads DVD-R and MP3 cds without a hitch. After 5 months, the unit would not read any discs and would power off after several minutes. It's now in the trash.

Summary: 2 months ok, then problems...
Review: Worked fine for 2 months, then the picture "froze" in the middle of the movie! Had to turn off and on, managed to watch a few more minutes, then froze again... Heard strange noises, like the laser couldn't find the right spot on the disk or the disk spinning problems (motor problems?). Good thing it comes with a whopping 3-month warranty for parts and labor (although parts are covered for a whole year, but the labor would be more than buying a new player...). Really like the features of the player, it plays all my home-made DVD-R's and VCD's and JPG CD's just fine, but what good is it if it only works for 2 or 3 months? That's pretty crappy quality, not what I would expect from Panasonic. In comparison, I have a 17-year old Technics CD player that still works fine and a 4-year old Sony DVD player that works fine (except it doesn't play the newer formats).
