Summary: Slim-Design, Big Fat Disappointment
Review: This unit quickly developed a problem of freezing in mid-DVDs. There'd be a short freeze of a few seconds, then another, frequency increasing. At times, the problem would seem to correct itself -- it seemed, in fact, a question of overheating. It got Progressively worse. Finally unworkable. Sending it back for a partial refund. Recommend Philips' slim-lines instead. I have two of them, comparably priced, and no problems.

Summary: Excellent player for your MP3 discs at unbelievable price
Review: To be honest, I'm writing this review after just getting the player yesterday and haven't even played a DVD movie in it yet, but for the primary reason I purchased it - playback of MP3 discs on RANDOM mode- it's wonderful (I already have a Sony DVD player for movies). I've recently started burning tracks from my CD collection to MP3 discs for the storage capacity (100 songs + on one disc!) and this player plays them beautifully and on random mode. I went to a local retail electronics superstore (initials are B.B.) looking at DVD players and when I told the silly salesman what my needs were, he lead me over to the CD mega-changers section. I asked him if a certain model would play MP3 discs, he replied, "yes". I examined the player after he walked off and saw that it clearly did NOT play MP3 discs. So, I went over to a competitor store and found this little gem and on the remote I saw the "random" button and knew this was what I was looking for. I bought it, brought it home, hooked it up in no time, put in an MP3 disc and it played flawlessly. I rated this only 4 stars, since I haven't tried actual DVD's yet but from the music aspect, this is a five-star unit.

Review: WE ... COULD NOT BELIEVE THE PRICE, AND IT LIVES UP TO THE 5 STARS I RATED IT, AT LEAST SO FAR. VERY ELIGANT, SUPER SLIM, AND THE PICTURE IS FANTASTIC. LOTS OF OPTIONS, AND IT NEVER EVER SKIPS. SO PLEASED, AS USUAL....
