Summary: A good value, but not a great one
Review: 1. The screen only rotates to the left....not to the right. This is a serious limitation under many conditions.

2. Adding the battery significantly increases the depth of the player, from 1.2 inc. to almost 2 inches. It weighs the same as a light notebook with battery.

3. The battery has a caution to ONLY charge it FOR NO MORE than 8 hours, with other admonitions better suited to NiCad than Lithium ion...such as draining the battery before charging. Therefore, the cautions mean that you cannot leave the battery on the player with the player plugged in!!!

4. The cover over the playing compartment is alarmingly thin and does not engage with a very reassuring click. Important plastic latches are very very thin, such as that locking the unit down.


Otherwise, the player works well.

Summary: Happy to sad story
Review: I bought this player for my 2 year old son to watch movies when we are on trips, airplane as well as car. We loved the player at first then it broke only 6 weeks of having it. (This was not due to abuse because only adults were allowed to control DVD, 2 year old only watched it with no hands on as a rule!!)

This was our second player. Our first one I returned immediately because the sound quality was very low. The picture is great and so is the sound compared to other portable players.
I really shopped around for the best features and this one is very good value for the money. It comes with many needed accessories.

We will attempt to purchase another one and hope for it to work longer. I do think from reading the first review that maybe we left the battery on too much... not sure why it broke. We bought it from Walmart.com and they were willing for us to return it and try another one. will let you know how our new one holds up.

Review: I recently purchased this 10" Portable DVD Player and was extremely impressed with the quality (Picture & overall design).

The battery lasted about four hours, which got through 2 DVD's on the plane. It was also nice that this product has a tablet screen style. It lets you twist the screen competely around, and then place it back against the player. It is super thin and takes up hardly any room, which was great on the plane!

I was also pleasantly surprised that it came with a bunch of accessories, including a remote control, and a Li-Ion battery & Charger (Home & Car), and a car bag!! I didn't have to buy anything extra, except the DVD's.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone who travels or has children!!
