Summary: A Gentleman and a Scholar (and a hell of a warrior)
Review: Rickson Gracie is the embodiment of true warrior spirit. It is no wonder he reigned supreme and his name will live forever. It is the art that drives him, as evidenced on this DVD with his own insights that only a true heart could understand. He may go for the big paydays (as some say) later in his career, but he earned the right to do so. To say he hasn't earned such a right is the petty jealousies of those that could only hope to be in the position Rickson Gracie held time and time again, the position of a champion.

Summary: Rickson--Say No More
Review: The fights are kind of so-so (although Rickson does an over-the-shoulder escape that should be in the Hall of Fame), the fighters are no-names and Rickson doesn't always come off in the most flattering light.But who cares--it's Rickson Gracie. Seeing what goes on in the locker room between bouts and some of the training rituals make this worthwhile. Next time: make it all Rickson, and let's see more action on the mat!

Review: The movie is very intresting to say the least. Anyone ready to go into a no-holds barred event may want to watch this film to get a diffrent perspective on what a true master(RICKSON) does mentaly as well as physically to prepare for such an event. The best film around.

Summary: Very entertaining
Review: The other reviewers said it all. You basically follow a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter, an Americain kickboxer and a Japanese shootfighter before and during a full contact tournament. Very interesting to see the different approaches and trainings, a bit boring at times though. This is not a UFC tournament tape, it is a documentary but you get to see a couple of very cool fights. I give it the highest marks because this vid is very, very well done and I learned a lot of things about full-contact sports, training and the mentality of these athletes.

Review: This documentary is about a man who is by far the classiest, humbliest human being in the NHB fighting business. Rickson Gracie is a true artist as he states in this video. He is not about hurting anyone, which he makes clear in the championship fight at the end. He is about artistic combatism and he is the greatest of them all. This video is a must see for anyone who is a student of life and enjoys participating in sports and wants to better him or herself. As a student of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu (Torrance Academy) I recommend this video to all.

Summary: Rickson makes this tape worthwhile
Review: This documentary is quite fascinating as long as it keeps focused on Rickson, who comes off as very charismatic and interesting. (When I watched it, I thought back to the old bodybuilding documentary, Pumping Iron, which was dominated by a young, charismatic Arnold Schwartzenegger). Rickson Gracie has that effect here. When it turns its attention to Todd Hays, etc. it gets a little boring, but it's worth it just to see the interviews and behind the scenes footage of Rickson. Highly motivational for us practitioners of jiu-jitsu.
