Rating: Summary: Awesome war footage, great documentary Review: This has some of the best World War 2 footage I have seen. Its basically a documentary that jumps back and forth from telling and showing pictures of the Battle for Midway, and the search the sunken american aircraft carrier Yorktown, along with a short snipet on a unsucessful search for a Japanese carrier. This dvd also has some great addons, such as a look at what the cameramen of WWII went through to capture some of the great images. If you have any interest in WWII this a great DVD to add to your collection.

Rating: Summary: Very enjoyable..and moving.. Review: This is a very enjoyable..and moving movie. The cinematography is first-rate, as all National Geographic specials are. And the format is unqiue and interesting. There are three "threads" to the movie, all intertwined in an interesting way. The first thread is current footage from the present where interviews from survivors from both sides -- American and Japanese -- tell their story of the Battle of Midway. The second thread is the recovery effort to explore the wreckage of the aircraft carrier Lexington by the same guy who discovered the Titanic. The third thread is old black and white footage of battle sequences. All together, this makes for a very interesting movie. I think you'll enjoy it, I did.
