Summary: Not your average "nature documentary"...
Review: I first saw this documentary about 12 years ago and I could not believe how downright funny it is. Most of us wouldn't connect the words "funny" and "nature documentary" together, but this video shows a side of animals that you most likely won't see on the Discovery Channel. And you haven't seen funny until you've seen a drunken elephant trying to keep from falling over, or the spectre of a baboon with a nasty hangover the day after eating mass quantities of fermented fruit. All I can say is, you gotta see this to believe it. It's great family fare and a must for nature lovers.

Summary: Masterfully humorous look at nature.
Review: I first saw this movie when I was a young child, and it captivated me completely. It is beautiful, cute, funny and just plain astounding. You will see things that you will hardly believe anaimals are capable of, and you'll never look at them in the same way again. I have loved this film all my life, and could watch it over and over. You will too.

Summary: the best kept secret
Review: I grew up with this movie, and still it remains my absolute favorite. It brings nature close to home, and viewing it should be a requirement for all human beings. Jamie Uys shows that the life of a beetle is no less important than the life of lion, and every living thing has a place on this planet.

Because it has been released on DVD, I will one day be able to show this film to my children, and theirs after them. I recommend this timeless classic to anyone, any age, any time, any place.

Summary: A masterpiece among nature documentaries.
Review: I recommend this film for anyone's edification and amusement. It's funny how when I came across the tape in Blockbuster I recognized it from seeing part of it on ABC some fifteen years earlier. It uses the same theme that Aesop, C.S. Lewis, and Beatrix Potter used - that various kinds of animals have various personalities, ones that we see in various people.

This music makes excellent use of celebrated musical pieces, such as "Trepak" and "Waltz of the Flowers" from Tchaikowsky's *Nutcracker Suite*, "Clair De Lune" and "Sunrise" from Grieg's *Peer Gynt Suite*.

Summary: Timeless Wonder
Review: I saw this movie about twelve years back in India (under the title "Beautiful People"). Initially I thought it was some boring documentary but when I left theatre I was overwhelmed. To date this ranks as one of the best movies I have ever seen and still remember the warm feelings it left me with. END

Summary: Animals are Beautiful People
Review: I think this movie is great - especially for anyone from Southern Africa. I love the narration and think it appeals to all ages. I first watched this film when I was about 8 and can remember laughing at all the animals and their behaviours: then, when I watched it recently I enjoyed it just as much and brought back very fond memories of my primary school days in a small town in South Africa! Now that I live in London I watch it every time I get homesick and have a good chuckle!

Summary: Kids Love It
Review: I used to show this movie to the children I worked with in the hospital. We all loved it. The kids couldn't take their eyes off of it and the staff were just as enthralled. This movie is spectacular and wonderfully good fun.

Summary: Sharing the laughs...
Review: I waited for more than 15 years for this film to be released as a video. My Brother and I first saw this film as a pre-teens with my Grandparents. We were shocked at how hard our Grandparents were laughing. Even if you are not a Nature lover you can appreciate this film. Now that I am about to start my own family I wanted make sure that we continue sharing the laughs.

Summary: FUNNY!!!
Review: I've had this movie on tape for many years......it finally just wore out from use, and I'm ordering a new one. I do Daycare in my home and this is a favorite with the kids and a great family picture. I've obviously seen it many many times and it always brings me to tears with laughter.
If you like animals...you have to see this movie!!
