Summary: GREAT VIEWING!
Review: A fascinating backstage documentary of Madonnas following her through her exhausting 1990 world tour, titled Blonde Ambition. Shot in black and white with concert footage in colour, this is often funny and often moving and you feel you get to know just a little bit about Madonna after watching this film. One of the funniest or most outrageous scenes is where Madonna and her group of back up vocalists and dancers are seen playing truth or dare. All in all this is a surprisingly good insight at one of the worlds biggest talents and fans will lap it up!

Summary: Starts out great, ends up another Madonna publicity stunt.
Review: Alek Keshishian's vision was indeed a noble one. This could have easily become a true "rockumentary", if Madonna had not become aware of the camera and tried to be cutesy and show off. The beginning of the film is wonderful...telling Alek to "get out" of her business conversations. Later in the film, the "candid" moments appeared very contrived. The bed scene with the dancers and singers? C'mon! Are we to believe this is candid? It's probably a good movie for the hardcore fans, but the rest of us are left with an empty and cheated feeling.

Summary: madonna truth or dare
Review: Being a die-hard Madonna fan my views of her slightley changed after seeing this video. Thoughout the entire tape Madonna protrades herself as a spoiled brat. In some scences she would whine and throw fits if she didn't get her way. I know that if I was Madonna I would have been extremly embarrased and would have not realeased this to the public. Though I was disappointed with Madonna's attuitude and the way she carried herself though out this documentry , it was interesting and watchable , and I enjoyed being able to see the true Madonna , but let us prey she has changed over the years. After seeing this tape you will be able to see Madonna the human being rather than Madonna the star. That is why I gave it 4 rather than 3 , 2, or ,1. If you like Madonna I suppose you could give this movie a try. Though it can be shocking at some points , if you want to see madonna living her life day by day , well , here it is. Enjoy!

Review: Come on now...how can someone possibly review this and stay partial? Of course fans of Madonna are going to say what a fabulous queen she is and unenlightend folks are going to qawk at her every stunning move and proclaim that "Truth or Dare" is the most boring and trashy thing they have ever seen in their life ...have they seen a Mariah Carey perfomance? Well the truth is that "Truth or Dare" is not boring and that Madonna is really that fabulous! Would we want to see anyone else go on a rampage when their microphone screws up? Would we want to see anyone else recall their first sexual experience in detail and watch the guiltly sqirm in her pants? Would we want to watch anyone else dis Kevin Costner-oh scratch that one...nevertheless NO! We want Madonna. Sure she has her moments that make you want to slap her(or fall at her feet) but who doesn't! Madonna (unfortunatly) is only human and so are we...and that is why we love watching her...

Summary: A brilliant chronicle of a superstar's worldwide tour
Review: When I first saw this film in 1991 in a packed NYC theater, the reaction of the crowd was extraordinary. It was as if we were all at a sold-out concert together..and had front row seats. The level of excitement and kinetic energy in the audience was unforgettable. This is a completely over the top chronicle of the biggest and best tour of Madonna's career so far. And who cares how manipulative or staged some of it might seem... it's the close-up peeks at offstage life that this film allows that are half the fun, real or not. The other half of the fun are the truly genius concert clips, impeccably filmed. It becomes abundantly clear why Madonna has been world-famous for nearly 20 years. Some may think her career is based on smoke and mirrors, but the level of professionalism, talent and energy she exudes on stage make the case for her longetivity. Get this one on DVD...with the lights out and the surround sound cranked up...your adrenaline will be racing...this is one of the best concert films ever made.

Summary: Shallow Content...Good Music
Review: Watching this movie made me laugh so hard, at some points I was crying. Hopefully Madonna has matured in these last ten years and acts nothing like the spoiled, selfish snob she is here. The way she talked and acted to peers was so degrading and patronizing I couldn't help but to laugh at the sheer lunacy of it. The only thing funnier was the way her peers completly hung onto and idolized everything she said and did. The only sane person around her was Warren Beatty and thank God he quickly realized what a waste of time she was! As a performer she was, and still is dynamite. The music portions of the video were excellent and, having seen the "Blond Ambition Tour" live I can honestly say I haven't been to a concert since that has been so powerful and entertaining. However, I was very disappointed with the "revealing" glimpse into her life. The fact that a person could be so high on themselves and demand that everyone treat her like a Goddess was truely upsetting. The big question is; How many of those performers, whom she lovingly called "her children" does she still keep in touch with? As far as I'm concerned, 'Madonna:Truth Or Dare' was nothing more than a parady on Madonna's life and a big waste of time. Lets hope and pray that she has grown up a bit since.

Review: I can't believe anyone likes this movie... it's overly dramtic, and shows the world what Madonna really is. Shallow and low class.

Summary: Madonna is a genious in the art of performing
Review: I know that the world has had a LOVE/Hate relationship with Madonna from the beginning and she proved all of the hypocrisy when she became the most famous woman in the World, despite the vicious attacks on her morals and character. Especially after "Ray of Light", Madonna shows that she is the ULTIMATE ICON and inspiration for women, that they really do rule the world! She is BEAUTIFUL, BRILLIANT, and fascinating as she continues to reinvent herself as she pushes the envelope to explore the deeper meaning of life beyond all the money and glitz. She has become even more beautiful at 40! You go, girl. You are a great role model for all of us to be our best. THANK YOU, Madonna, for all that you have given us. Kathy in CA kfurtado2@aol.com
