Rating: Summary: True Queens Review: This was a excellant show. The women were all funny in there own right. Many people do agree with the language they use, but it's the same as the males, but I guess because they are women they should clean up there language. These Queens are just telling it like it is in a very funnnnnnnnny way. It's a must see..........
Rating: Summary: Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.... !!! Review: This is one of the funniest shows I have ever seen... caught the last half of it on Showtime and got a copy of the DVD the next day. This was definitely "tears coming out of my eyes, stomach holding" funny! I had never seen any of these comedians before and they killed me. The show is tight and moves quickly... the cursing might offend some, but if you've ever been to a comedy club, you've heard worse, I'm sure. My only complaint is that it says that the DVD is in widescreen and it's not.
Rating: Summary: Funny At Times Review: The "Queens" was a pretty good show. Each of the featured comediennes had her moments...I especially enjoyed Monique's stand-up section. She was funnnnyy! She probably best represented the whole "Royalty of Comedy" idea and complimented the "Kings of Comedy" well because she just got up there and let loose. Adele also gave a good show. The others basically stood up and told some jokes. Adele did a great job of handling herself in those video clips of the three ladies hanging out in Memphis. True, Monique was loud and overbearring -- but it seems like the film editors gave her the most screen shots because she really did give the strongest performance. Truthfully, they could've done without the little video clips -- it kind of reminded me of BET's "Comic View" where they used to (and still do at times) insert little non-necessary skits just to fill out the time slot. But, all in all it was a pretty good show. Worth the money to rent it from the video store, but not worth the late fee if you don't turn it in on time :-).
Rating: Summary: Not Queens, maybe Princesses Review: The Queens of Comedy would have been a whole lot better if they had another subject to talk about other than Sex. I know that sex and comedy goes hand in hand, but the ability to tell a story about anything is what makes great comedians really stand out from just ordinary. Adele Givens was by far the funniest of the ladies, she has actually toned down her cursing if you can believe that. Sommore was the next funniest because she at least talked about her stint in jail. Mo'nique is just loud. I kept thinking you have a microphone, why you have to be so loud. During the little shorts that they showed between the stage performances she tried to over talk everyone around her, hmmmm maybe she was deprived of attention as a child. Laura Hayes was the MC and she is just not funny. It is much better to watch if you have a group of friends over and you have been drinking.
Rating: Summary: How to outcurse a Man in 60 long minutes or more Review: The jokes were not funny. They felt they had to out cuss each other to make a punchline. In the Kings of Comedy, at least we had a wide spectrum of humor, with "a little cursing...to a lot of cursing".. This was not the case on this waste of money. The Queens of Comedy, I think not. I'm not sure what Land these Queens are reigning from, but I suggest you leave your passport at the border.
Rating: Summary: HAHAAHAHAHAA Review: These Broads are F U N N Y!! I had know idea that woman from the Parker's could get her joke on!! I saw this Live and the Women Out did the Men!! Queens of Comedy They ARE!
Rating: Summary: The funniest sh.. in comedy Review: Hey this show was hilarious. I mean it discussed some deep sh.. but they kept it real with true comedy and lots of laughter. Although it was full of explicit language it was still a good show to watch as we did with Kings Of Comedy only this show is filled with the funniest bit.... in time. So if you haven't caught it on Showtime then I think you should order it today along with The Kings Of Comedy for your at home enjoyment.
Rating: Summary: Can I Give 10 Stars ??¡¡?? Review: Ok, To Start Off, Anybody That Has The Channel SHOWTIME, Has Had At Least 5 Opertunities To See This Great Show. I Didn`t See The Entire Show, It Last About 1 1/2 - 2 Hours. I Caught It When It Had About 30 Minutes Left. And I Laughed Until I Almost Collapsed. I Mean "do you they cuss" HELL YES. But Lets Be Honest. Its Not Like You've Never Heard It. Think About It. Whats Funnier. "you can't even see that little ""thing"" " or..... you can't even see that little D***. See?? Its Human Nature To Laugh At Vulgarity And Its Here To Stay, So I Say, Get Used To It. I Mean, A Couple Of The Jokes Were.... "i have a few friends and they don`t match their face/body at all, i have a friend her name is A-Lexis, she looks more like a "buick" and i have another friend named Champange, she looks more like a 40." Are These Some Of The Best? NO!, I Won`t Spoil The Best On Here. And Another Thing, For All You Plumper People That Were Offended By The Nutty Professor. This Show Has A Section Dedicated To Picking On SKINNY People. I Have To Say, I Loved Ever Minute Of This Show. There Was Also Another Part Where This Lady Sais "now they are using kids to get you to try stuff on tv, like, my daughter told me i look fat so i tried jenny craig and lost 15 pounds. you got it all wrong, if my daughter told me i look fat, i'd pick up the phone and lose 15 pounds beat'n her little A** with it", So My Advice. See It ! Learn It ! Love It ! The Queens Of Comedy Reign Surpreme, And If You Want ONE More Chance To See It On Showtime..... FEBRUARY 11th, 2001 (sometime at night, check your tv guides)
Rating: Summary: Too much cussing takes away from the comedy Review: Loud is right, loud with the cussing!!! I had been wanting to see this DVD for a while. I really enjoy Sommore and Mo'Nique, but this DVD was a let down. These ladies have no problems discussing just about any topic from spending 5 days in jail, sex, black men, sex, children, sex, marriage, and sex. You also got some behind the scenes footage, which to me was really not necessary. I knew better then to compare this to the Kings of Comedy. I mean why even bother? I knew it would be different, but the titles were similar so I guess that's why people made the comparison. I have no problem with cussing. It just seemed extremely excessive, and it was not funny. That's part of the problem I have with some comics, the use of cussing as a filler to help expand their act. You don't have to cuss to be funny. When I could laugh, I enjoyed some of the jokes, but aside of that, it's not gut busting funny. It's not hysterical. This was a major, major let down. You do not need to use excessive foul language to be funny!!!
Rating: Summary: Trash Review: Do yourself a favor and stick with the Kings because this mess is a waste of money. The majority of the jokes are sex related & full of cursing. These things could be excused if they were funny! But this is far cry from it.
