Summary: Killer!
Review: I have a great idea let's send Leprechaun-the 2,000 year old demonic leprechaun with evil magic powers and Chucky-The Demonic Killer Doll, Leatherface-Chainsaw Massacre to find Bin Ladin and chop and chew him up. It seems that these guys never die! Boogeymen lives up to it's tag "The Killer Compilation" it has them all. Chaulk full of all those Boogeymen who never give and never seem to die...

Summary: lots of fun facts
Review: So I finally found out what Leatherface the cross-dressing chainsaw massacre's mask is made of, not pleasant! I forgot how disturbing some of these older horror movies can really be, and they made Chainsaw Massacre for under $80,000. You can't even get catering for that these days. I was very impressed on the design and layout of the Boogeymen DVD. I think what I enjoyed the most was the trivia facts that accompanied each of the films. Not to mention the fact that it got my adrenaline going. If you're a freak about Horror films you'll dig this release.

Summary: Great starter movie
Review: I'm only 18 so I'll have to say that I haven't had that much opportunity to catch up on my new passion, Horror Films. Most of these films were already in and out of the theaters before I was old enough to see them first hand. I've started a list of videos I'm going to rent based off my favorites on Boogeymen. If you haven't seen these films before, this is definitely a great way to catch up quick.

Summary: great dvd!!
Review: 1This has to be one of the best Halloween Party Disc's I've seen. I was thinking that Boogeymen was just going to be a bunch of scenes crammed onto a disc. I was surprised to find that it not only gives you a taste of the best parts of each of the 17 featured movies it also has some really cool trivia facts on each of the movies. Likewise there's a fun Name That Frame game that I'm defiantly going to use at my party. Of course by then I'll have them all memorized. Boogeymen is a great idea!

Summary: can't wait till vol. 2!!
Review: Boogeymen is so going to be a classic. This movie has all the big screen horror maniacs all in 1. At first, when i noticed that it wasn't all of the movies, i was a bit taken aback. but i knew what i was buying so i bought it on dvd newayz. It was so good! my sister, and bro were so excited about seeing it we didn't even wait till dark like usual. So, not to spoil it by watching it in day light, we played the "name that frame game". It was cool, it was dark when we decided to finally watch it. This is a good movie but some of the movies shouldn't of been in it. such as: Phantasm, I Know What You Did...., and the Guardian. Some of the movies didn't even have sequels so, I can't wait till they come out with some creeps like: Mary Lou from Prom Night, the chainsaw killer from Slumber Party Massacre and etc.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: When I first saw ads for "Boogeymen" I was real excited about getting it. I pre-ordered it from Amazon.com and watched it that very night with the lights off and a candle burning. I was not that impressed. Now, I don't have a DVD player yet, so I had to settle for the video, and I think that is why I was so disappointed. I did not get all the cool features of the DVD verson. The video has all of the clips, and some fun facts that pop up on the bottom of the scenes. But no commentary etc. In fact, the coolest part of the video has to be after the "show" is over. There is a 10-minute bonus of original trailers for the films (although not all of them). So, the video was worth it for that feature alone (especially the trailer for "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre"). I will say the clips were not all good. Jason gets lost in the mix, and of all the "Friday the 13th" movies I don't know why they picked the "Final Friday" or the lame scene they showed. Also, for "Psycho" I would have thought they would show the classic shower scene, but we don't even get that. Still, "Nightmare on Elm Street" and "Halloween" were classic clips. And I enjoyed seeing scenes from some of the movies I have never seen such as "The Ugly" and "The Guardian." I will probably check those out. I think the video would have been better if each boogeyman was shown through a compilation of clips from various movies instead of just one short scene from one movie.

Summary: Great for lover of the Horror genre and it's icons.
Review: I found this feature to be a very enjoyable usage of my time on the two occasions I watched it. Boogeyman is a collection of video/audio cuts from a variety of the most influential and popular recent horror movies to splatter across the screen in the last two decades. Many "cult" classic as well as some commercially successful features make up the "Boogeymen". It is broken up into one section per character and these characters are viewable separately or one after the other as a continuous movie.

Ok now that I have explained some of the content or at least the basis of this feature...onto the goodies!

There is running audio (that can be turned on or off) commentary by Wes Craven (better known to some as Freddy Krueger) offering his insight and personal opinions on the movie scenes as well as the people involved in the making/starring of scenes. He does a great job and keeps the movie flowing with his great insight and overall enthusiasm for these scenes.

Something else as a goodie I found enjoyable is the "pop-up" tidbit information accompanying the scenes. All kinds of useful little facts and trivia for Horror buffs to digest makes the viewer aware of things they might not have known otherwise. This adds to the fun of the feature.

Also, there are character Bios for all the "boogeymen" present and a little name that scene trivia game that can be play separately from the feature.

All in all I give this movie 4-1/2 stars and think other fans of this genre will find it informative, stimulating and most of all fun.

Summary: Good Start
Review: I think this DVD was a good start to what i hope are more features in store. My cousin gave it to me as a b'day present and I did enjoy it although i thought that there were more scenes that should have been included. (Then maybe they are saving for Boogeymen II.)The commentary was great and i had fun playing the trivia. Waiting to see whats next :-)
