Summary: Summer of 56
Review: I liked this. It's lighthearted and not depressing, unlike other Elvis related DVDs. June seems a great person who would sort Elvis out if they were left alone. A great story of a great summer romance. If you're looking for something of more depth re this then try the book Elvis In The Twighlight of Memory which is brilliant. Why that has not been turned into a movie I don't know, it would be much better than the bland and unitentionally hilarous Elvis and Me.

This girl could teach Priscilla how to write a book.

Review: I was expecting this to be filled with great home movies and photos from the time. But what it really was was a bunch of present-day interviews with the people involved, with maybe about two minutes of 8mm home movies thrown in. Very sad.

The DVD also said that there were "Home Movie Outtakes" as one of the bonus features, which I was greatly looking forward to until I found out it was a lie! Instead the bonuses were about two minutes of extended interviews and a few still photos of Elvis and June. What a waste of what could have been a great DVD.

Summary: Good compliment to the book
Review: The color film and photos make a great compliment to June's book. It is very interesting hearing June tell the story although "In the Twilight of Memory" contains more detail. It is also very interesting hearing Geroge Klein tell his story as well. I recommend reading the book and then watching this movie to see Elvis in the time before he was influenced by Hollywood and Col. Parker.

Summary: Wonderful and Interesting
Review: This movie gives an inside look at what it was like to be Elvis Presley and what it was like to date him as June did.

He was a God and his life was consequently very complicated. This film shows an Elvis that we have not seen before. I wonder why this girlfriend is not spoke about more.
