Summary: No original music
Review: Avoid at all costs! It's got no music from the Jacksons or MJ himself. Lousy, amateurish camera work. Insipid hip-hop soundtrack. Not worth a dime!

Summary: Most positive documentary on Michael I've ever seen!!
Review: Hi all...

I just wanted to share my opinion on the DVD release 'Michael Jackson: A Remarkable Life'...

-running time: 01:08:23 (Europe version, I don't know about the US version)
-warning: The DVD doesn't contain music or performances by Michael Jackson.

However, I have to say that this documentary is probably the most positive I've ever seen about Michael Jackson. The words 'nose', 'elephant man's bones', 'child abuse', 'oxygen chamber' or 'surgery' (just to name a few out of the many notorious cliché's) do not show up even ONCE... (which is extraordinary and pretty desirable in my opinion!). It's mainly people close to Michael (in the past AND present) who tell about their experiences of working with him. They talk about the way he does things, there are some funny anecdotes and they're all really positive and all praise him for the way he works and creates.
The DVD overlaps the era's from the early 'Steeltown' beginning and Michael's birth in Gary up 'til the Invincible era. It's a 2003 production so it's kind of up-to-date.
Special thanks in the end credits of this British production go out to: Samm Brown III, Patrick Chen, Matt Forger, Smith Wordes, Paul Knotter, Nick Brandt, William Brandt Jr., Antonio J. Bryant, Robert D. Bryant, Allen Sides, Bill Bottrell, Uri Geller and Paul Madley. Most of these were interviewed as well!
Interesting inside look of Mr. music composer/creator/singer himself, aka Michael Jackson. Worth having a look at and a must-have for fans! Although fans probably won't hear too much they've never heard before it's still worth purchasing. I don't know about the prices worldwide but the price I paid at 'Fame' Music Store in Amsterdam was € 19,99.

I hope my review will be helpful to all of you who are interested in this new 'Chrome Dreams' release.

Take care!

Summary: Great insight, but kinda dull.
Review: This Jackson bio was an ametuerish affair, but it had its momoents. Photos I had never seen before of the Jacksons poped up, and a snippet of an interview with a teenage jackson was awesome. I liked that they actually talked about Captian Eo, which was my favorite ride in Disney World. Special insight from real studio people make this worth watching. For a better jackson bio, try to find a copy of Michael Jackson:the Legend Continues. Thats a showtime special made around the time of Bad thats all positive and reminds me of the good ol days.
