Rating: Summary: Every American *must* see our government in action Review: I have just finished watching this video and I am numb. It's hard to imagine how this murderous activity by our *government* has gone completely ignored in the mainstream media and press. The "new" information that FBI has "recently discovered" (even though it was clearly shown in the video and must have been known during the Congressional investigation) goes to show that the video is very real and very scary.I've always been proud to be an American. I salute our Flag and the National Anthem gives me goose bumps. But folks, now I'm a bit scared. The events at Waco, graphically and meticulously portrayed in this film, is a testament that government can very much run amock. Even ours, which has been founded on the most pristine of ideals... The scene that shocked me the most was analysis of the FLIR footage showing two Federal agents machine gunning the only exit from the burning building. A truly "take no prisoners" approach. These were members of the US Government firing on the American people. How tragic...
Rating: Summary: Disturbing Documentary Review: This is an excellent documentary. Its a little one-sided in criticizing the FBI (for instance, experts have doubts over the source of the infrared flashes), but it does blow big holes in their case. One problem with Waco and its aftermath s that we've seen all sorts of conspiracy theorists make comments (some of the reviews here, for instance), the FBI deliberately set the fire, the Feds also set up the explosion in OK city, the Feds are all illegal as is the income tax. This sort of conspiracy mongering tends to obscure the distinction between sensible complaints and far out looniness. In my mind, there's no doubt that the FBI started the fire accidentally. Koresh shares some blame -- for not surrendering, or at least getting the children go. But ultimately the FBI screwed up badly, killing many people. A little like MOVE bombing in Philadelphia. Then, like most police departments, they cover up with no one willing to break the thin blue like (in this case, grey suit line maybe). Recent comments and articles indicate that Reno herself (then extremely new) might have been misled. A new independent inquiry on Waco must be instituted, the guilty must be identified and punished (negligent homicide in some cases). If Reno herself was aware, she should be held accountable as well. The Waco survivors should be pardoned, when appropriate. Thats the only way to put Waco behind us, and defuse the militia and loony crowd.
Rating: Summary: Disturbing, credible and well-researched Review: I see this video is being attacked as "conspiracy theory" propaganda. Rubbish. It simply deals with the events. It is also claimed that the film was faked somehow -- making it appear as if things happened that did not. Parts of the film were supposedly debunked on TV. I find all this very, very difficult to believe. The important points of the documentary involve the contrast between the testimony of the FBI before Congress and the actual events at Waco. The FBI made infra-red videotapes of the injection of "tear gas" into the buildings, and foolishly made them available to the press. The documentary "Rules of Engagement" presents a detailed analysis of these tapes, done by the man who developed the technology that allowed the tapes to be made in the first place. Faked? I believe that is out of the question. The analysis of the infra-red tapes shows that there is excellent reason to believe that the FBI lied repeatedly to cover up its activities at Waco. If this documentary is a conspiracy theorist's dream, I am a white rabbit. The only conspiracy that could be involved in the Waco tragedy is the well-known wall of silence that police the world over maintain in order to avoid being held responsible for the excesses they sometimes commit.
Rating: Summary: I have the directors cut of this film. Review: I got it from Mr. Gazecki in Denver, Co in 1997. There was to be a public showing of this film at the Paramount theater in downtown Denver. I went downtown to see the show only to be greeted by signs saying that the showing had been cancelled. I think it had something to do with the two semi trailers parked around the block with government markings and the unusually high number of "Officers" in the area. The place gave me the creeps. To my luck, I insisted on finding out what was going on, and I made a one-in-a million shot of running into Mr. Gazecki. He was very nervous and when I asked what was going on, he mumbled something about a disagreement with his producer. I wasn't convinced, but I did not ask him anything further questions about that. He did ask me to meet him around back at his Suburban where he sold me two copys of the tape at $20 a pop. He says that there is addtional footage in this tape that is not in the one for sale here. This stuff is thick. You relly need to see this film. I've never seen the edited version. The most impressive point is the lack of a narrorator. They just let the Feds talk their way into a corner for a change.. A++++++
Rating: Summary: This film deserved the Oscar for which it was nominated. Review: I was the last Republican to run against Janet Reno here in Miami for Dade County prosecutor. This documentary brilliantly exposes what we in Miami have known for sometime, as proven in Readers' Digest and elsewhere: Reno has a long, long history of proceeding with phony child abuse charges to justify shredding the alleged perpetrators' constitutional rights. That was the pretext for the assault on the compound. And now we know that was a knowing lie. If you want to understand why our Constitution's framers distrusted government--all government--buy this video. Jack Thompson
Rating: Summary: Make sure this video is in your local library Review: I viewed this video about four weeks ago, before the current "trouble" had surfaced, and found it compelling in its arguments. My local library does not have a copy and I am going to purchase a copy and donate it so that other library subscribers have it available for making their evaluations of the news.
Rating: Summary: Unbelievable, or so prayed. Review: This documentary scared me to the core. I am in disbelief at the dichotomy of 'our' government's actions verse the constitution (what is left of it). Breaking news 8/30 seems to reinforce this film's presentation IS NOT a compilation of facts to support a radical perspective, but possibly an exposure of a government's over zealous attempt to squash a group that had a belief askew from mainstream and wanted only to live in peace. Sad, very very sad.
Rating: Summary: Need I even..... Review: Need I even write a review for this piece of trash? You people have problems if you are seriously thinking about buying this.
Rating: Summary: Members of Congress Should Be Ashamed Review: ...for being such Cowards and not standing up to the Clinotn Administration regarding the death of these women and children. Despicable, I am truly embarrassed to be a U.S. citizen. After you see this documentary you will too.
Rating: Summary: See This Film Review: This film will change the way you think about the government, religion, personal freedom, the media...SEE THIS MOVIE. It is an experience you will NEVER FORGET.
