Summary: Johnny Rotten eat your Heart Out
Review: It took ten years for another rebel to come out of the system after Dylan did his Tour 66 , and that was The Sex Pistols last Tour in 77 . I could not believe how strong Dylan was back then , in the mist of peace and love and war . History in the making . Rebel Dylan at his best ... Forget the quality of the tapes , it's the essence that counts , like a scrached vinil , pure and very Steppenwolf ( Herman Hesse )...

Summary: Terrible piece of trash
Review: I should have heeded the early negative reviews and not bought this piece of trash. It is nothing more than a lot of out of focus footage of hotels, airports, buses, etc. from cities on the 1966 tour. It isn't worth the cost of postage and I think that it appears to be a shameless attempt to cash in on Bob's name. Sorry that I was suckered to buy this. The only sweet revenge is that Dylan replaced Jones with Levon Helm!

Summary: Don't waste your money on this one!
Review: I'm very sorry that I wasted my money on this DVD. It has the sleazy feel of someone just cashing in on knowing Bob. Very little footage of Dylan with most of the "movies" being a travelogue of hotels, cities, airports, etc. where the tour occurred. I'm glad that Bob signed on Levon with The Band!

Summary: Not worth it..
Review: This is rubbish . More of an interview with the host than any real footage of Dylan .. just a couple of clips without sound.
Disappointing.

Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS!
Review: instead search out the still unreleased documentary EAT THE DOCUMENT, which is excellent. it can be found on VHS / VCD for free or trade on many dylan fan sites

Summary: Do Not Buy This Video
Review: I am seasick from trying to watch it. it's horrible. I thought there would be concert footage, but I guess that's too much to ask...

Summary: Piece of Crap
Review: There is not one note of Bob Dylan music on this DVD. 90% of the footage is of airports and cities. The creator of this DVD is cashing in on super 8 footage he happened to shoot while on tour with Bob Dylan in 1966. In fact, any music you might here in the background, is from this guy's Bob Dylan cover band, which is the most depressing thing I have ever seen.

Summary: what a waste!
Review: Ditto to all the other one star reviews. Even a serious Dylan fan would have a hard time justifying the waste of time watching this movie is. It would be a rip-off even if it were free.

Summary: They're Booing Once Again
Review: Funny how history repeats itself. In 1966, Bob Dylan shocked the world when he wanted to do what HE wanted to do, not what his fans expected of him. Many fans responded by booing when Bob Dylan took the stage with a black Telcaster guitar in hand and started jamming out with an electric four-piece rock & roll band behind him.

Now, the ONLY documentation of that ground-breaking tour is being booed once again. Will we the audience never learn? Will perhaps the most significant event in 1960s Rock & Roll ever been seen and appreciated for the happening that it was?

This isn't a "professional" documentary, nor does it ever claim to be. It is home movies by one of the band members of that incredible, earth-shattering tour, of Bob Dylan's career when I feel he was at his peak. So far, this is the only footage available of Bob Dylan doing things HIS way, and doing them like no one else before or since! For that alone, I am grateful.

Mickey Jones is an entertaining fellow with some wonderful stories and I personally got a kick out of this DVD. There's a ton of great inside information on this DVD, and for the first time in my life, someone FINALLY explained to me where "The Band" got their name from and why!!!

While there may not be much music on this DVD, nor even much about Bob Dylan himself, there doesn't need to be. This DVD is about Bob Dylan forming an electric band and the tour that followed. As of today [early 2004] this is all we've got.

I learned a great deal watching this DVD. I feel I understand Dylan better, and I know I understand the 1960s better after watching this DVD. While this DVD may drag the story out slightly, I do have to say that I feel that it should be required viewing for all serious fans of Rock & Roll. To not know the infamous stories of Bob Dylan being booed while he jams the greatest music of his career is to not fully grasp the story that is Rock & Roll.

So thank you Mickey Jones, for sharing your wonderful stories with us fans. You're a great story teller and a fun host. I would love to sit down with you and chat about playing with Bob Dylan and about that incredible tour one day. You're a class act in my book sir! Thanks.
