Summary: For Boston!
Review: Boston punk rock at it's best! I've been a fan of them since 97 and I love this band, and this DVD is a must own. Over 4 hours long!

The live show is from the 2002 St Patty Day weekend shows. It's the same track list as the live CD (minus "Which Side Are You On?") Very Cool.

"65 Days in Hell" is a mini-movie shows the band traveling around the country on last year's Warped Tour. I had no idea the band was so funny. I like Ken and Al's pre-show slap fights.

"Behind the Scenes" pretty much speaks for itself. They show the guys on their European and Japan tour. They have a "Jackass" type segment where they show the band playing pranks on each other and stuff. They also show the band playing some of the Blackout songs in Providence.

"Black & Gold" shows the band playing after the Bruins game last Fall and talking about the Bruins. I think it was produced by NESN.

"Labor Day Documentary" shows the band playing at some Pro-Union rally and singing on the picket line. They also play acoustic versions of "Boys On The Docks" and "Which Side Are You On?" at the AFL-CIO.

They also have all of the band's videos. From "Barroom Hero" to "Gonna Be a Blackout".

The only complaint I have about the DVD (why I didn't give it 5 stars) doesn't involve the content. It has to do with how it was set up. In most DVD's they give you a tracklist insert so that you can skip around to what you want to see. They give a songlist, but it's all out of order. Other than that, this DVD rocks my socks.

Summary: Pretty damn boring.......
Review: I picked this up hoping it would change my opinion of the "new" Dropkick Murphys. I am a big fan of the original line-up with Mike McColgan singing. The album "Do Or Die" is a must-own for any punk or skin in my humble opinion. However, after Mike left the band went downhill fast and turned into bizarre caricature of lucky charms pop-punk that just isn't very good. I've seen them perform live on multiple times and have yet to see anything that would change my opinion. I bought this DVD against my better judgement hoping there would be something in it to explain this insane fascination people have for this band. It didn't happen. The DVD was very boring, live footage with juvenile antics between them. Not very entertaining at all. Buy "Another State Of Mind" instead, a classic punk film about life on the road with real punk bands. I have come to the conclusion that the Dropkicks have become the modern version of "House Of Pain". How sad for a band that in the beginning was so fantastic.

Summary: Could Have Been Much Better...
Review: I was excited to get this DVD being a fan or the Dropkick Murphys but at the same I was worried they would screw it up like a lot of punk bands have been doing thier DVD releases. Well the day came and I was really dissapointed. The live St. Patricks day show had terrible audio and bad picture. It seemed like they tried to hard to make it look all MTV like like but it just totally meessed it up. As for the other few hours of footage, well some good some bad. Some of it i found myself laughing my head off but other times i'm just hoping it would end. They show the same songs from different shows done with a single camera over and over and it gets really boring. Overall I was really dissapointed with this DVD and I hope bands start doing high quality DVD's instead of just throwing together a whole bunch of crap.

Summary: Well worth the wait!
Review: I've been a fan of DKM ever since I heard their demo version of Barroom Hero on the Give 'EM The Boot disc the day that cd came out. I've been to tons of DKM show, met and hung out with the band many times and i'm the street team leader for my area (which has been great fun). On The Road is 2 years in the making and it was well worth the LONG wait. I do however have a few complaints:
1. I have a Toshiba dvd player and the disc DOES NOT play in it. It's a older dvd player but it's quite odd that it doesn't seem to play in there. Luckly I have a PS2. 2. NO DC WARPED TOUR FOOTAGE. Almost ever show is featured except for DC. I would've loved to see some footage from that show and was hoping that i'd see myself or some friends on there including my friend who the band always let sing Time To Go. 3. Though I really can't complain about much else on the dvd I did have my hopes set on seeing some even older footage from the Do Or Die/Gangs All Here era. The band said 2 years ago there would be footage of that but there is none. I would've been nice to have some old footage with Mike and Rick. 4. The St. Patrick's Day show is cool but it's the same from the live album yet a few songs (Which Side Are You On?, Nutty, and Dirty Water are left off). Original plans were to feature more than one full show from St. Patrick's Day Weekend in 2002 and 2003.
I don't wanna sound ungreatful because there is plenty of stuff on this dvd to enjoy but I was hoping for some of that stuff mentioned. It's a great dvd and one of the most jam packed dvds out there and a great buy. BTW...anyone know how to find the hidden Easter Eggs/bonus footage?

Summary: Sing Loud! Sing Proud!
Review: The Boys from Boston are here! Step back folks, this is what the world has needed: DKM on DVD!!! All fans of the Dropkicks will go insane for this exceptional release. It's all here: the videos, on-the-road documentary, live performances, etc. This sucka will blow yer mind. The mix is great and includes both Stereo and 5.1. I can not think of anything more that DKM could have included on this. If yer a fan, get off yer ass and grab this for yer collection, it will become yer favorite.

Summary: If you are a Dropkick fan then you need to own this DVD
Review: The Dropkick Murphys are brash, crude, loud and funny as hell. This DVD manages to capture all of that as it documents their appearance on the 2003 Warped tour. A million bands are releasing live DVD's that are nothing more than glorified video footage of a live concert, but this DVD is chocked full of extras that makes it well worth the price of admission. Remember when you and you're friends sat around drinking, smoking and watching those Pantera home videos? They were funny as hell, weren't they? This DVD reminded me of that. There is a full 22-song set, all the band's music videos and a feature of them on the road entitled '64 Days of Hell' all contained on 1 disc. Most bands would have kept the concert footage and the backstage hi-jinx separate just so that they can release 2 discs and reap more cash but not in this case. Honestly if you are a Dropkick fan then you need to own this DVD because it has everything you'll ever need. If you're not a fan; shut the hell up, grab a beer and watch this, because you will become one.
