Review: A must have, you need this disc in your collection. This disc contains a lot of usefull information and tests for setting up your home theater. Not only do you get a extensive set of test tones and test patterns, but you also get detailed descriptions of what each test is used for.The Audio tones contain a full range of tests. You can start by balancing the volume levels. From there you can run extra tests to check for low frequency hums and rattles. There are tests for indivual speakers as well as the whole 5.1 system. The video tests are great too. No longer do you have to worry about the blacker than black pluge tests that other calibration discs use. These test patterns have been designed for DVD systems.

Summary: A MUST have to get the optimum picture
Review: As a certified isf calibrator, it is the only DVD I use, although the scene sequence in VE is good for before and after comparisons. The menu is easy to navigate with some built-in help, although more detailed explanations of some of the more obscure test patterns would be usefull.

Summary: Avia dvd is a must have for Sony Wega owners!
Review: Avia dvd allows one to achieve NTSC standards(the way the directors intended for you to view the movie). I can't say enough about this dvd. If you own a Sony Wega tv, then buy this dvd. Besides the awesome video calibrations, the audio calibrations are second to none!

Review: AVIA is a essential piece of equipment for anybody serious about getting the most out of their home theater! It is very through in all it's explanations of the various test that are included. Even for non techies such as myself it is very easy to use. Do yourself a favor and get this important piece to your home theater puzzle.

Review: Avia take you a giant step forward in getting the most from your display. The disk is very easy to navigate and simple to understand even for new users.Avia goes beyond what Video Essentials has to offer,all patterns digitally mastered for DVD,all patterns with a explaination of what they are used for and proper use.The use of R,G,B filters to check for color decoder problems,and how to compensate for errors,the sharpness pattern,more convergence patterns.I could go on but,the disk speaks for its self. 5+ stars to the Ovation Team. Summary: So glad I bought the AVIA DVD
Review: Being a new owner of a decent home theater system, I wanted to get things set up properly. I was truly amazed when I finished with the AVIA set-up just how much difference it made. I didn't realize just how far off my television settings were but I could sure tell when I was done! I highly recommend this to anyone with a home theater system. This disc would also be great for anyone planning on buying a system. It gives a wealth of information on every possible topic related to video and audio and putting them together into a great system.

Review: Don't buy this DVD just to get test signals. You can buy the two pack of Toy Story 1 & 2 and it comes with a great set of a dozen or so tests to set up your projector--and you get the TS for the kids for free!

Review: Everything you need to know to tweek your home theatre to perfection is on this disc.The latter chapters tend to be a little on the high tech side,but after a few viewings you ll get the hang of it.
