Summary: Not so bad, gory and lively
Review: I am surprised at the quite negative criticism this film has received. While not as good as the first FDTD movie, this is a perfectly respect- able direct to video horror production, far better than most direct to video releases. Not so bad as I had been led to believe, gory and lively, nicely photographed and pleasantly over the top, with some good bits of business scattered through the script. The cast is a nice mix of old familiar faces and B-movie stars, I especially liked Raymond Cruz and that old reliable Bo Hopkins ("The Wild Bunch") as well as the ever popular Danny Trejo. No masterpiece, but a fun rental I'll certainly watch more than once.

Summary: Vampire Bank Robbers
Review: This is a sequel to From Dusk Till Dawn but it could just as easily be set before the first film. This one involves a bank robbery South of the border. The team is put together and they all head for a motel near the target. But one member is a little late and runs afoul of a vampire.As a vampire, he joins the rest of the team and starts converting them to vampires. For some reason they continue with the bank robbery. This is not really explained and is not like the vampire mobsters in Innocent Blood. In the end we have a final showdown when hordes of police arrive including one policeman who has a vendetta against the one thief not to get converted. Some of this action is rather interesting. At one point in the film there is a convenient solar eclipse. This one is odd as it totally blocks out the sun and the corona and then it lasts way too long. It would have been better to leave this one out. Although this one is not quite as good as the original it is a rather good film. The characters are really quite interesting (both good guys and bad guys) and the film wraps up in a satisfying way (even if it has been used in countless films).

Summary: Raymond Cruz
Review: Being a teenager and a boy I like my horror movies. This one is an okay vampire movie. The person that caught my eye was Raymond Cruz, he is so hot. Look at his muscles and that hot bad boy face. The scene with him and the girl in the hotel room was the best part of the movie. Don't miss the rear view that we get to see of both of them.

Review: I recorded this on TV with my Tivo system because it said it was starring Bruce Campbell. It pissed me off when I found out that the only part with Bruce Campbell is a pointless scene in the beginning with Bruce and and the girl from Saved by the Bell. It was also directed by Sam Raimi afiliate Scott Spiegel. I liked the ideas with the camera movement and the scene near the end with the mustard gas and the main character with a cross. Over-all this is a pretty good movie. If it had some better writing and a higher budget it probably would have been better but I guess not. Buy it so you can support these guys.

Summary: This would have been a better film if it was not a sequel
Review: To try and be fair, "From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money" might have fared better with viewers if it was a tacky sequel to the audacious spaghetti vampire film concocted by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino. But this direct-to-video flick is an attempt to capitalize on the gory cult success of the original despite the fact that outside of the vampires south of the border idea and the high octane violence, the only real connections with the original "From Dusk Till Dawn" is a brief stop at that bar (the name cannot be mentioned in polite or reviewing company) where Danny Trejo is still tending bar; he is the only cast member back from the first go around (although most of the characters have good excuses). Actually, the idea of a group of career criminals plotting a bank robbery being turned into vampires but go ahead with the idea of robbing the bank is a decent idea and if this film did not invite comparisons to the style and wit of the original it could have picked up another star. Instead, it must invariabley suffer in comparison. Robert Patrick as Buck, the would be bank robber who finds he is in things way over his head, does a decent job all thing considered, but the rest of the cast engages in mondo scenery chewing (both, after, or even without the transition into bloodsucking fiends). Bo Hopkins plays Sheriff Lawson, the lawman in pursuit of Buck and his playmates, but he does nothing special with the role. Director Scott Spiegel certainly gets into the spirit of things, repeatedly finding interesting places to put the camera for some truly weird shots, but you can not really count such things as great artistry. The bottom line is that "Texas Blood Money" is a gory little B-movie that besmirches the legacy of its unforgettable predecessor (assuming you could stomach sitting through that film in the first place). But you know things are not going well when the movie the bad guys are watching on the tube, where Bruce Campbell and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen have a close encounter of the bat kind in a office building elevator. All in all, this film is pretty much summed up by Buck at a moment during the film when he is in police custody and things suddenly turn dark regarding his chances for survival. When you hear the line just nod your head in agreement and go right on munching your popcorn.

Summary: My favorite Horror "B" movie!
Review: Why are you guys trashing this? Sure it lacks all the suspense of other scary movies, but is VERY fun and action-packed! The best part in my opinion was the final showdown between the police and the bank robbers. (it REALLY blows a Swarzeneggar/Stallone movie out of the water!) If you're looking for something to do on a dull, rainy day, be sure to see this! It's the best I have seen of Vampire films! ^_^

Summary: Not Even Close
Review: Although I am a big fan of vampire movies, this was pretty sad. I say this because the first "Dusk Till Dawn" was very entertaining, both funny and sick. This sequel is neither funny or really that sick. I gave it three stars anyway, just because it is a vampire movie. Rent it first, then if you like it make your mind up as to buy it or not.

Review: I really enjoyed this movie. A bank robber hits a bat while driving down the road. He arrives at the bar and we see the old vampire from the 1st. After he tells the old man what happened they go looking for the bat. As the stop along the road the old man finds the bat now as the vamp. The crook jokes about it and the old man bites him. Now the other crooks are in a hotel and their buddy shows up and they think everythings normal.... Well one by one they turn into vamps except one played by Robert Patrick. I am not going to spoil the rest but if you like hard hitting action and guns you dont want to miss the ending of this movie. Heads go flying and guns are shooting!!!

Review: This film has its moments, but it is otherwise a lost sequel to the awesome original from Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarentino. This film focuses on a group of bank robbers who decide to knock off a score one night. But things go wrong when one is bitten by a vampire and soon the body count rises. Robert Patrick is so-so as our hero, who suspects something's wrong immediately. Some neat camera tricks and plenty of violence abound, but this is mostly a flat delivery and a cheap imitation to the first one. However, the film's opening is excellent with Bruce Campbell in a cameo being terrorized by hordes of bats. This is the film's best moment.
