Summary: Jarr Jarr: "Did meesa really wreck that movie?"
Review: Yes Jarr Jarr you really did! If only the Liam Neeson had taken his light saber and lopped Jarr Jarrs head off like he did so many of those trade federation droids. There would have been a cheer and applause errupt throughout the cinema as many fans celebrate the killing off of one of the most annoying characters ever put on the screen.

And to think despite the worldwide hate towards this character he again is shown in Episode 2.

If Jarr Jarr had never been created my view of this movie would be completely different.

George Lucas, please listen to your fans!

Summary: LORD OF THE RINGS RIPOFF THAT IS BAD
Review: yes that is correct this is a blatent attempt to make another Lord of the Rings but only their directer George Lucus is not as much a genius as Peter Jackson :) a little history lesson here folks, 'kay? ;) three years ago a brilliant film directer desided to take a really huge book that few people had read about and to make the best movies ever. that book was Lord of the Rings and that man was Peter Jackson, loved worldwide for bringing such joy from his creations of hobits, elvs, dwarvs and ents and orks. this man is a hero to millions and I'm not kidding you!

George Lucus is seeking to be a competer in the big movie game and brought back his old Star Wars movies with big loud special efects to do so but he has learned that special efects do not make a classic movie experiense because so many people have hated his new Star Wars movie. Peter Jackson should call mr. Lucus and explain this to him because Lucus certainly has the connectiuns to get a big movie (he is friends with Steven Speelberg) made but he has no ability to tell a story so that you care about his characters.

So there you have it dont say you were not warned when you buy this and it's so bad!

Summary: Aside from a few disappointments it was a great movie.
Review: Yes the plot wasn't easy to follow because it had multipleoverlapping stories happening at once, dialogs could have used somemore polishing, one of the coolest characters in the movie has too small of a part and than gets killed that was quite disappointing. Kid who played Anakin is not a very good actor, he seemed very uncofortable with dialogs he had to do and didn't really merge with the environment around him. If you saw the trailers you probably expected quite a bit more from a movie than there was. They seemed to have cut quite a few scenes from it. The battle between maul and obi wan in the desert that has been all over the posters, mauls dialog wich was heard in the trailer and music video.

Still the movie is wonderful, the amount of talent and work put into it by artists alone is incredible, it has to be one of the best visual experiences i have ever seen. The jedi are a way better than in all previous movies. Final battle was really well done. Qui-Gon and Ob1 are excellent and are played by excellent actors. Movie has more great ideas than ever. Everything droid army, pod racing, underwater world, Coruscant are all amaizing concepts. I was disappointed when the movie was over. It definetly deserves to be besides original 3 episodes in anyones collection. END

Summary: Star Wars episode 1
Review: Yes the special effects were outstanding...but I found the characters lacking heart and passion. Obi was the one bright light and Anakin was believable....but I remeber when Darth Vader came on screen you were afraid very afraid not so with this Darth Maul. Great fight scenes wonderful cities the graphics georgeous. But overall I was disappointed it moved too quickly and delivery of some of the dialog was like being read from a script.

Summary: A Review That Fanboys will hate!
Review: Yes there is a plot, a story, and acting in The Phantom Menace; more ever, there was more to it than just F/X in this film! It would seem that the Fanboys have invaded this place to express their limited opinion about this film. I find it my job to add my rebuddal to their case, and defend a movie saga that I love.

I cannot see how a film that can be so bad, that it end up making over 430 million dollars at the U.S. box office? One would have to conclude that there are far less nay sayers, and that they are very vocal about their hatred for a good film. I am sure these are the people that would say: "The Matrix was a better movie." If that were true, would it have made more money than The Phantom Menace? Thus showing that the Fanboys are out numbered, in their idea that The Phantom Menace was a bad movie!

Fanboys say: "So, why was Jar Jar put into the movie?" Well if you watched it, you will understand that they needed Jar Jar to bring the Gungans, and the people of Theed together. So, they can fight the Trade Federation in the end. Also, unless you don't have kids of your own (and most fanboys don't); it would be hard to understand the enjoyment they have watching Jar Jar. So please put your own selfishness aside, and let kids enjoy a character that does have a purpose in the Star Wars Universe. Keep watching the new Star Wars sagas, and find out!

Now Fanboys what do you really want from a 9 year old? Is life so bad for you, that your going to base a whole movie on a kid that has to act like a 9 year old? LOL.. How pathetic can you get? Is it so hard to see, or even look at the idea of loss of innocents? Can you not see a boy that is full of hope, and dreams of doing good for everybody one day; just to see all that strip away in the end. Can you not see the power, or even the sadness behind that? For a young actor, Jake Lloyd did do a good job acting out his part as Anakin Skywalker.

FanBoys say: "What is with that stoooooooooopid pod race?" Well--if you were not watching the movie, may be they need a way off the planet, with out having the Trade Federation after them there! Hummmm?!?!

Fanboys say: "I don't get it, I thought Yoda trained Obi-Wan?" If you were paying attention, and I know some of you need to be spoon feed anymore. What were one of the first lines that Obi-Wan say to Qui-Gon?: "But master Yoda told me to be mind full of the future." Boom, there you have it off the bat, so please pay attention in what you are watching!

Until a fanboy do make a movie better than The Phantom Menace, as they claim they can do, I'll be waiting to see your work, and effort to see for myself that you can do a better job. Other than that keep complaining, because that is all you will ever do.

I did find The Phantom Menace on par with the rest of the Star Wars saga, and that it gets better ever time I see it. I found it refreshing that it did not copy everything that the first three movies did! This is a new Trilogy, with a new direction that will connect with the original trilogy in the end. So, please don't let people try to talk you not getting or buying this movie! Find our for yourself, please:) Than make your opinion known, I am sure you will enjoy this movie.

The Phantom Menace is a great movie, like the rest of the Star Wars Saga. It is different from the rest, and I am happy about that; because it is NEW story, that needs to be different from the first Trilogy! Would you like watching the same story again? I know I would not:)

I am happy to see that we are going to get this on DVD now. I have been waiting forever to get a Star Wars Movie on DVD. It would seem we are going to have to wait for another 4 to 6 years to get the whole saga on DVD, and I'll be there to buy them when they do.

p.s. so if the fanboys best complaint are about The Phantom Menace are two characters, and the titles of the Star Wars movie. I say we are in pretty good shape! Let them complain, while we enjoy a great movie over and over again.

p.s.s. Bring on Episode II: Attack of the Clones! It is going to be great, because it is a Star Wars Film! I can hear the FanBoys already crying about that title. LOL!! Silly Fanboys, take a breath, and enjoy The Phantom Menace for what it is...

Summary: Amazing!
Review: Yes, I am a Star Wars freak. I must have watched the original movies ever since I was born!! My dad loves Star Wars, so I was a Star Wars baby!!
I remember my dad calling me over to the computer to watch the commercial for Episode I... I was so excited and counted down the days for the release!!
I loved the movie!!! Yes, Jar Jar Binks does get annoying, but so did C3PO in the originals!!! It is all part of the Star Wars World!!! I loved how we get to see the Republic before the Emperor!!!

Great movie!!!

Summary: Do not buy this!
Review: Yes, it is a great special effects flick. But do not buy this VHS tape! Show your displeasure and maybe Lucas will cave in with a DVD format release.

Summary: Where is the DVD?
Review: Yes, Jar Jar is Dum Dum Dum. Steve must have been eating spinach when he came up with this character! Yes, the kiddie was a bit overdone, but after all, he's born with the (! ). Must agree with all others regarding a DVD release. Come on Steve, read the reviews, all 173 pages of them on this site, and get cracking. You evidently have not read the stats on the number of DVD players expected to be sold over the next two years! All the libraries that I know of are buying DVD's for circulation, and they are the most conservative of purchasers. Come on guy, and DVD it. It'll make the fans happy and also Amazon..

Cheers

Summary: It isn't Empire, but still a very respectable film
Review: Yes, of the 4 Star Wars films, this is probably my least favorite. But just because I don't like it as much doesn't mean I don't like it. The film is very good actually, with some great action sequences (Ray Park as Darth Maul is just tremendous). The Story serves as a good intro to the characters, and I think is an indicator of bigger things to come in E2 and E3

Summary: Mr. Spielberg knew what he was doing
Review: Yes, that's what I said. Ol' Steve knew what he was doing by releasing Episode 4 first. Who knew he had such vision? Like most of the other reviewers, I agree that if Episode 1 had been released first, there would have been a low rumble in the universe as Spielberg flopped into a big ol' pile of mud. But, by giving us Episodes 4, 5 and 6 he used the back end of a story to leave us panting for more. And he delivered more. We don't care that the acting is horrid or the plot is wobbly. All we want to see is how Anakin grows up to be Darth Vader.

Mr. Spielberg are you related to P.T. Barnum?
