Summary: Hideous
Review: If I wanted to stare at the tv screen I believe it would be a better choice than watching this terrible continuation of Star Wars. The acting was almost sick, I have never seen such pitiful actors/actress' in my life. Haydene Christene and Natalie Portman portray their characters being in love as if they couldn't define their feelings. I re-call puppy love being more dramatic. To be apart of this movie I believe you would have to qualify for a role in a kindergarten play.

Summary: George Lucas is redeemed
Review: That was my first thought after the house lights came up in the movie theater where I saw this. Finally, George gets us back on the ride that I was drawn into 25 years ago -- the adventure, the action, the STORY -- that I desperately found lacking in Episode I.Lucas allows Anakin's character to come into its own as we see him struggle with the conflict between his demanding responsibilities as a Jedi apprentice and his consuming love for Padme. The Dark Side is a nearer shadow to Anakin and to the rest of the Republic, as we begin to see the Darth Sidious's masterplan come to shape. We understand how the seeds of conflict will be used to accomplish his goal of supreme power. (I not only soundly approve of less screen time given to the annoying Jar Jar Binks, but I also found justice in that he unwittingly becomes the quisling that ushers in dicatorship over the Republic...) Of course, the folks at ILM prove once again that they are in a league of their own with special f/x that are lightyears beyond anyone else. Worlds, droids, starships -- all culminating in the mind-blowing Clone War sequence. Star Wars is back in full regalia with Episode II.

Summary: Where's the force?
Review: This movie is SO bad, which is a shame considering the talented cast. The story is dull and listless, and plays like an episode of Columbo in space (with all the lines being delivered in very wooden tones) . The original Star Wars movies (episodes 4, 5, and 6) were exciting and fun to watch. This movie, along with episode 1 is simply dull. Far too often the viewer is asking themselves, "What happened to George Lucas' brain?" I couldn't even bring myself to go to a theater to see this movie (after episode one being so bad, I wasn't going to fall for that again). I saw it when it appeared on HBO. At this rate, it will take extreme use of force to make me watch episode three...... this poor franchise, which started out so well, is being beaten further and further into the ground... unless you are a fanatical Star Wars fan, do not waste your time with this movie (even then, the fanatical will most likely be majorly disappointed as well).

Summary: Attack of the Drones
Review: I never saw much of the clones, in fact I don't know why this movie was even called this. But I did see a lot of drones, bad actors that is. Just when I thought the series couldn't get any worse, here it is. Episode II, an even more unstable, unstructured, boring, badly if edited at all, emotionless, sloppy, terrible attempt at movie genius. The only thing that makes the movie bearable is the special effects, which is nothing in comparison when compared to all of the other movies that came out this year. No originality, eye widening, or gasping scenes. The plot line is as a zig zag line, or even a dotted line, which stops and goes in different directions without reaching any impacting climax at the end. The romantic relationship between Anakin and the Princess was awkward, due to the fact that he was eight years old when they first met, and she was a teenager. In addition it was just out right lame, forced, and both actors had no chemistry together. (Spoilers) The worse was the ending, which is a rushed action scene in which there is no impact at all to the audience, and in the end, Anakin's arm is chopped off with no emphasis. Then in a pathetic attempt to awe the audience Yoda fights the bad guy. This is just terrible, but then again, the bad guy really had no deep conflict with any of the characters, so it didn't matter who fought him. Then the scene in addition is chopped, and we are hurled into the next scene with a horrible ceremony, with two emotionless, robotic actors getting married. I have no idea why this movie received such high reviews, I have no idea how it could {have made more money}it's superior predecessors. Everyone complains about Jar Jar, he was the only character that brought life and feeling to the movie. Now that is sad. All I can say is that it is a terrible movie, and I will not waste a penny to see the next one. Take you money and rent the original 3 Star Wars reruns, trust me, it will be more satisfying.

Review: Bad acting, bad dialogue, really bad chemistry between the star-crossed Padme and Anakin...barely worth watching if not for the absolutely stunning visuals (except Yoda. should've stuck with the muppet, George). Better than Episode I, but we fans expect more.

Summary: Shame on you Lucas, Shame on you
Review: Ok, hers the dealio. The new star wars movies are horrible. If you are the typical movie goer, you know who you are, and there is no shame in that. If you like movies with some romance, a little action, but not too much violence, you know, the typical hollywood movie, you will love this. But if you are like me, a Star Wars maniac, who can name the language that moisture farm evaporaters use(domestic bachi), then you my friend, will not enjoy this movie. While watching this I wanted to go to George Lucas's house and give him a piece of mind. "You lamo, you sold out your great, amazing Star Wars plot to be ruined by a bunch of selfish billionares in Corporate America, to make it a nice romantic, kiddy film. Shame on you george, shame on you. You might as well retire to your parents basement, because there is no way the Star Wars spirit will be able to recover from the mighty blow you delt it with." I loved the first movies, and I love the books and graphic novels, but this movie sickens me. This is the typical romantic movie, with the typical cheesy love lines, and the typical cheesy action, that makes the blood in Monty Python and the Quest For the Holy Grail, look real. If you want to see a true Star Wars movie, watch the originals, or pick up the books at your public library.

Review: I must say this one is so much better than episode 1 you cannot imagine! Till you've seen it anyway. However, it is really only for the TRUE, ever-faithful Star Wars fans, and is not to be compared in any way, shape, or form to the original three. Again, Ewan McGregor does a fine job(as always!)Natalie Portman manages to be much more beautiful, and even much more sappy in this one thean in Phantom Menace. Yet I must declare myself to be very much dissapointed in Hayden Christianson's performance as Anakin. I admit I have definately seen much worse acting, but to own the truth;Christianson is bad. It's like he's reading his lines; not very good reading, either. Other than that the love story is brutal. I was rather interested the first time to witness the progression of their(love?), but a second time, it was just far too much torture on the soul. Such lifeless, utterly sappy expressions escape the lovers' lips as:"just being near her again is INTOXICATING!", "I've been dying slowly every day since you came back into my life." and finnally to top it all, there is one particularly horrid moment when you think you may die because the dialogue is so bad! Upon Padme remarking:"Ani, you've grown!", he replies awkwardly,"so have you. grown more beautiful, i mean. for a senator, i mean." Yes, indeed, such utterly unromantic(or rather someone else's strange, dilluded idea of romance)and painfully, embarrasingly bad dialogue must be overlooked to enjoy this movie for what it really is:One of the missing pieces in this Galactic puzzle we've been searching for lo these many years to add to our beloved classic, the original Star Wars Trilogy.
