Review: This has to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen, and probably the funniest. Really bad acting, horrible special effects, and lots of gore. And such a deep plot :) I have watched the dvd at least a half dozen times and its always entertaining. The dvd has a lot of features on it, which other reviews have mentioned so I won't go on about that. My only major complaint is that the warden's son doesn't get butchered in the movie, though just about everyone else does. Buy this movie now.

Summary: GRUESOME, EXCESSIVE - I LOVED IT!!!
Review: Some people try to deny the fact that violence and carnage can be very entertaining. It may be sick to some of you, but many of us do find excessive violence both intriguing and entertaining. For those blood thirsty maniacs out there, this movie is for you. The violence and fighting is over the top, like a comic book or something. It is very extreme and graphic, but also somewhat low budget and nothing that will make you queesy (unless you're already squeemish). It can be so excessive that it is funny, i found my friends and myself laughing out loud quite a bit. The movie itself can be kinda cheesy at times, but this only seems to add to it in strange ways. It is certainly one of those cult classics that you and your friends will be talking about for a while and won't ever forget. It is a must-see and is worth buying, it'll add an element to your collection that no other movie can match.

Summary: Ricky gets the job done,no messing.
Review: Unintentionally funny,i don't know,it just totally blew my mind away.It re-defines what you thought extreme violence was,and leaves you wishing you had those powers! You WILL reach for that remote,to go back,again,and again,to witness what you only thought you saw! The close-ups of each fatality do reveal some dodgy make-up,but who cares?You want Ricky to exterminate,and kill everything in sight,and that's only after the first ten minutes. I don't want to spoil your'e fun,there's loads of gory batterings,but!-You have got to look out for the intestine strangling scene,and another scene where Ricky punches a guy with such force,the top of his head flys off.Riki-Oh,The Story of Ricky is something you will not forget in a rush. The picture is Matted to 1.85:1,sharp and detailed throughout,only minor speckles and blemishes on rare occasion,that will not distract at all. The sound:All of those kicks,punches,and flying through the air sounds,sound good,all speech is in synch,clear.The Subtitles are accurate,and on display inside the black bar.I heard no sound distortion,background sound,and hissing can only be heard if the volume is turned up to an extreme,well those shattering blows seem better,if they take the plaster of your walls,don't they!?

Review: I heard about this movie from a guy I work with and was immediately hooked. After finding out that my work didn't carry it I ordered it from Amazon and immediately knew this movie kicked the living crap put of any movie ever made. It was nonstop killing from begining to end. Some of out will make you laugh and some of it will make you cringe in disgust. Who ever made this movie knows exactly what the American public wants. If you don't have this movie pick a copy up. It is worth every penny.

Summary: The live action Fist of the Northstar
Review: I really liked it. It's cool to see a movie where people get holes punched through them, and there heads pop like grapes. I have never seen a live action movie like this before, its just cool to watch. I'm a big fan of the anime "Fist of the Northstar" so naturally I woul'd like this movie. I watched a crappy bootleg version and I could barely read the subtitles but reading is underrated in this movie. Its like watching an anime movie but with real actors. I gotta admit the guy at the end was cheasy as hell though. Definately worth watching.

Summary: Fun-filled Martial Arts Mayhem!
Review: Great stuff! I don't recommend this film as much for the "gore" aspect that many folks love to point out, but for it's consistent "anti-institution" thematics. Nice acting for such a fantastical film while some downright hilarious and over-exaggerated physical expressions allow the viewer to follow along in the fun as well as balancing the serious with the humorous. "Riki-Oh" plays more like a graphic sci-fi Anime film, without the gratuitous nudity and sexual situations. I was initially mislead into believing this was a comedic romp, but the comedy is more subtle than stated in other reviews.

Summary: Violent, Creative, action packed, yet Corny.
Review: A definite hit with you action, blood and gore fans. But if you think your watching a good martial arts film, think again. it's nothing but celebrity death match with a story line. Talk about gross to, some of the special effects are great, but at other times you feel like your watching a 7th grade class project. If you gotta watch it, then it's ok, but i don't believe this is a great. by no means.

Summary: Peter Jackson rip... errr... eat your heart out!
Review: I saw this film some time ago on the big screen and it blew my tiny little mind out the back of the cinema. Seeing that it had been released on Video/DVD made the little hairs on the back of my neck stand on end... I had to buy it. It out classes ANYTHING Peter Jackson has ever done, or will ever do, million fold. If your heart can take watching untold mutilation and slaughter, then this movie is DEFINATELY for you... even if you think you've seen it all! Was only one print of it in exsistance until recently (so I am told) a big thank you to the bright spark who saved it from cinematic hell. This has to be the bloodiest, most violent film ever committed to celuloid... I have only ever seen one other movie to compare to its visceral thrill and that film is SALO: 120 DAYS OF SODOM.... for absolute die-hard gore/violence fans only!

Review: If you like your gore over the top, your story negligible, and your acting cheesy, then Story of Ricky is for you. Take your brain out and enjoy, exploding heads, lethal punctures, intestine ripping, and other stuff that will make you laugh and go ick' all at the same time.
