Summary: Good flick. But it ain't the original!!
Review: I really enjoyed Tom Savini's shot at NIGHT. But the master Romero's is the measuring stick for all the Zombie flicks. I really did enjoy the way Savini changed the roles around at the end. Like making the girl become the Tough SOB! And how she gets the A-hole right between the eyes in the end. While it is not as good as the original or DAWN. It is a must for the collector that has the DEAD TRILOGY.

Review: Truly the best scary movie I've ever seen. I've set through it and enjoyed it everytime since. This is the one movie, that gave me nightmares for weeks. Why? Because the movie seems so real and it's really a scream.

Summary: Great movie, better than romero. Great hero,heroine.
Review: This movie kicked serious zombie @$$. The original Romero verson started abrupt and bizarre, and it continued that way til the end. But the new one, yyyeeesss!!! There was color, there was gore, and it was just as good, then better than the first with a little extra humor and "pizazz" if you wish. If you want to see a kick-butt guy teamed with a kick-butt gal, plus some paranoid people, you should see this (still the best) zombie classic.

Summary: At last, Barbara... with a back bone and a will to survive.
Review: For the first time in horror history, the "victimized" woman puts on a pair of combats and changes from a long skirt into pants... of her own volition! Savini's remake metamorphosizes the Barbara we've all come to know and hate (didn't you want to feed the 1968 Barbara to the zombies?) into a rational, quick-thinking individual with the power to lead AND follow. And for once... the female doesn't trip and cry at the most crucial moment! All rise and hail Tom Savini. Just as the original Night of the Living Dead served as a social commentary on the time in which it was written, so does this remake.... And, while it lacks that documentary-like feel that Romero captured with a low budget and poor lighting... it speaks volumes on "the power of the gaze".

Review: An excellent selection for the avid horror fan, lots of zombie goodies, and stringy entrails. Beware not for the fait of heart, or stoamch! Seven trapped people are alone in a deserted farmhouse, and deaperatly try to stay alive. Included are a sick little girl, and her parents, a teen and his girlfriend, and the heros Ben, and the heroine Barbara. An excellet selection for any occult fan. END

Summary: Good, but not vintage Romero!
Review: I really can't knock this movie, but being that it is a bigger budget remake of a low budget classic, it's hard to help! One of the things I love about the original "Night of the Living Dead" is Romero's ability to do so much with so little. Part of what made the original so frightening was the low budget black-&-white effects that made the zombies look more menacing, the blood look grotesque, the munchings look more grisly. This remake also lacks the claustrophobic effect that George Romero pulled off the first time around. With so much of the original being shot from the inside looking out, coupled with the "low budget echo-pitch" dialogue, gives off a creepy presence, as if the zombie attack was actually happening, and some 8MM Film student happened to have his camera on hand... This remake is a good zombie flick, but not a classic. Every time I bring it up, hard as I try, I can't help but compare it to the original. This version is too polished, too thought out. This version starts with the same meek woman character who is the first to run from the carniverous cadavers, but in this version, the character takes a new twist that leaves you going "HUH?" How did she turn from bashful to brazen? The flick is genuinely scary at times, but lacks the ambience that makes the one...and, in my opinion, ONLY "Night of the Living Dead" famous.
