Summary: Laugh? I thought I'd died.
Review: Phew! what a movie. Little weak points prevent this from becoming perfect, but Bruce Campbell goes down into Cult Movie history with his own more than hilarious little de ja vous. The choppy special effects mixed with perplexing photography made this satiric horror a guideline for Cult films to come.

Summary: Classic comedy horror cult movie , a must to see
Review: There is horror , there is spatter , and there is comedy. This classic combines all 3 in a superb blend of slapstick comedy with for that time period good splatter. A must have for the serious movie collector. A somewhat sick state of mind is required to enjoy the moore subtle parts of the movie. If you have missed it buy it now.

Summary: Best Send Up of a Genre
Review: Evil Dead is a film every one should have in their collection. By no means a scary movie but there is plenty of edge of your seat moments ie. Ash realising their is something down in the cellar with him, to the comical Ash's Hand being only one example of the comedy. A film that has aged very well and is as good today as the day it was released.

Buy it and Laugh!

Summary: Evil Dead 2 is hilarious!
Review: I watched Evil Dead 2, hoping for a scary horror film, but instead watched a low budget horror comedy, and might I add, it is really funny! The comedy tires towards the end, but the scenes before that are definitely hilarious. Bruce Campbell is great as Ash. His sarcastic attitude adds more to the film's humor. The special effects are good for its really low budget, but it certainly could have been improved. The camera angles gave me a slight headache, but other than that the movie is great! If you are looking for a truly scary film, stay away from this one and watch something like Event Horizon. However, if you're in the mood for some fun, Evil Dead 2 will be your cup of tea. I have not seen Army of Darkness but I want to now.

Summary: Hilarious "horror" film
Review: Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn caught me completely by surprise. Having not read reviews or plot summaries of this movie, I thought I was going to watch a terrifying horror film with realistic looking demons and zombies and lots of blood and gore. Instead, I watched a somewhat scary but very funny movie with fake looking demons (that are actually well done for an extremely low budget) and gallons of blood, but that only leads to the fun. Bruce Campbell's over-the-top acting makes you just want to laugh. The scenes involving him and his dead girlfriend, Linda, are definitely the best. I haven't seen Evil Dead or Army of Darkness although I am very interested in watching Darkness. Are the special effects in Army of Darkness exactly the same as in Evil Dead 2 or are they up to high standard horror films?

Summary: A cack, you'll love it
Review: Even though there is barely any gore like EVIL DEAD, this sequel is a riot. In fact it could be the best sequel ever made (besides THE GODFATHER PART II). The film picks up where part one ended, the fabulas Bruce Campbell again gets driven crazy by some nearby demons, they make the furniture laugh, his hand try to kill him and his own reflection come out of the mirror. The film is alot more effective when it is watched at night. Followed by ARMY OF DARKNESS in 1993.

Summary: More of less a remake than a sequal
Review: The begining of the film is a remake of Ash & his girlfriend. It doesn't include any other characters that where in the first one. Before I saw "Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn," I saw film clips of it on a show on The Discovery Channel about horror films. The scene I saw on that show that was not in the theactrical release is after ash chops his hand off, the hand jumps up and chokes him.

Summary: Bruce Cambell is god.
Review: Hail to the king, baby! By far the best in the series. Bruce Cambell is the epitomy of groovy. Everything that makes a good movie is defined by this movie. Chainsaws, sawed of shotguns and zombies. Need I say more?

Summary: By far my favorite film!
Review: Evil Dead 2 is the awesomest, bichenest, most radical movie of all time! I've seen it at least five times now and I plan to see it several more times before I eventually die of dehydration! Okay, I better calm down... As the other reviews will tell you, it's more of an outrageous, berzerk, maniacal comedy than a horror movie. It moves with relentless pacing, begins and ends splendidly, and contains more off the wall humor than the others of the series. It's one of the funniest movies in it's genre. There's nothing quite like it.

Summary: What a gorge-fest/damn fine belly laugh.
Review: Though not a huge horror fanatic,I have to say that this, for me,is the funniest, scariest and of course, most spine-tingling horror movie of all time.

If I have a bad day at work,I just think of this movie and my day brightens.

Thankyou Bruce et al,for your vision and artistry.
