Review: this movie is so great i got it for christmas when i was 14 well actually i bought it with some of my christmas money, and i loved it. See i didnt have any friends i alwasy dreamed i would meet a friend and we could be like ivy and sliva and actually it did of course we werent this bad u know! but anyway this movie is so fanstic. Drew is such a good actress after seeing this with the amy fisher story she became my idol for a short time infact she's my favorite actrees have all her movies. This movie isnt your typical trashy film its actually about more then sex it shows how to outsiders (which i can relate) become best friends that's part of the reason i love it so much! well u want to know more buy it!

Review: This movie wasn't oscar worthy. However, Sara Gilbert and Drew have a definate chemistry between them. Tom Skerritt is so creepy in this one. Definately not his alter ego from Picket Fences. The setting is cool. The house is great. Overall it's worth seeing.

Review: watch poison ivy 1 & 2 but skip the new seduction. trust me, you'll thank me later. of all the erotic thrillers in the nineties, poison ivy comes off clean as one of the most original & well-made of the entire genre. surely there have been many imitiations of poison ivy but none hold up quite so well after nearly 12 years unfortunately as the one which started thegreat trend. who is ivy? is she a very lonely girl whose never had much of a life & simply desires the friendship of another rebellious young girl? or is she a greedy, evil snake in the grass? perhaps both? i'll have to admit it's hard to know exactly how to feel when you first watch this film & even harder to completely hate the character of ivy despite the evil things she does. drew barrymore gives a slick, seductive performance which is only rivaled by her companion coop(played by sara gilbert) & matched through the brilliant performance of verteran actor tom skerrit(who plays coops father). poison ivy, is suspenseful, sad, & often sensual although never really reaches the level of a softcore film like the rating might suggest. there are 2-3 implied sex scenes which may be considered objectionable for viewers under the age of 16. parents may wish to either view this film with their younger children or to screen it first before allowing for mixed family viewing. if you've seen poison ivy & loved it, go ahead & try the sequel which has alyssa milano. the 2nd poison ivy is quite good too although the first one is still the classic. go out & get your copy of poison ivy today on dvd & vote for me!! forget the tnt televsion edit & pick up the new line cinema dvd.

Review: Why do you want to watch this movie ? To see the legs and bottom of Drew Barrymore or because you want to have a great time watching your TV ? If it's for the second solution, just for get it ! For all Drew fans, go for it. She's young, she is sexy, and well it's maybe enough. The acting is not bad. The curiosity is Cheryl Ladd was the Charlie's Angels Blondie for quite a longtime and everybody knows who Drew became these recent years ;) About the movie, well Not much to say and it's the major problem to it.It will look like the movie is damn too long ! Sara Gilbert (the little daughter of Roseanne if you remember) is great.

Review: Wonderful film.Good plotting,of a slick-misfit Lolita(drew),who is looking for a friend,and finds Sara Gilbert,Who acts as if her life is a joke,thought to Ivy,Ivy finds it dazzling with a luxery,rich lifestyle,with things she never had,diffrent from her good-will leather jacket lifestyle with her aunt. (who i might metion,is not shown only talked about in the film,which some what makes you wonder more about Ivys life)Ivy envys,Sara's great life,and seduces the father,makes friends with the mother,but when mommy finds Ivy with her little Lolita act on dad,Ivy kills her off,afraid of sara's mom interfering with the realtionship with dad,lying to sara gilbert,and herself, with the excuse "she wanted to die".Since saras mom was a suicidal emphysema paitent.Ivy even takes over the pooch,Drew's character comes of as a jealous seductress,with a pinch of a lonely sad girl,in some why I thought Ivy was sad and jealous girl, Sara had the rich life,who was always complaining about her family,Of course Ivy tried to show her by grabbing the family with her own hand.The instrumental sultry music was great,though I couldnt find a soundtrack anywhere.The coloring content was in a few scenes dark and hazy.Though it provides many shades of diffrent colors,they come off not as rich,because this was a B-movie.But the color isnt really all that bad,despite its lack of richness,it seduces into enjyoing it,like Ivy.Possibly they did that on purpose,Destin to become a cult-classis which it did.I reccemend this to all Drew fans,and even a few non-ones who ended up liking the film.Though I only saw the "cleaned up" version on TNT,which dosent show the erotic scenes,it gave a sample though,of them,before the clothes came off.There were only 2 sex scenes.But it has been herd and known,that the sex scenes are what steamy,even the non-nude ones,it dosent over-fill you,to where you cant enjoy the plot.Great film,better than the next to sequels,which the second,was boring,and the third was just an excuse for another sepuel.I reccemond the first to all,one you will enjoy,with Drews wonderful performance.
