Summary: A Very Weak Sequel
Review: This film lacks both the ferocious intensity and insane creativity of the first two Evil Dead films. The special effects are embarrasingly bad, the plot is dull and weak and the acting is atrocious. A prime example of what happens when a major studio takes a good idea and tries to overly commercialize it. Stick with Evil Dead 1 & 2.

Summary: A legend in entertainment
Review: Army of Darkness is one of the most entertaining movies ever made. The movie is a synergism of wonderfully one dimensional characters, woefully dated special effects, and a some very bizarre circumstances, which when blended together create a magnificently entertaining event, one which can be viewed over and over without losing its appeal. In short, Army of Darkness is truly a movie worth watching.

Summary: THESE ARE MY BOOM STICKS!
Review: I laughed, I cried(ok so i didnt cry). aside from a large doseage of twisted comedy, I loved the idea of a hero of the middle ages with a shot gun! I havent seen the other evil dead movies but after seeing this movie, you can bet your chainsaw arm I will!

Summary: Oh my god! I almost died laughing!
Review: Ash kicks ***, there's no other way to put it. Ash's dialogue is almost completely one-liners. From "Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun" to "Lady, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to ask you to leave the store", this movie's got it all. And then came Duke Nukem, a loser who tried to rip off his catch-phrases. I have NEVER seen a better movie. Titanic ***** compared to this. And remember, "Shop Smart, Shop S-Mart, hmhmhmhm"

Summary: A worthwhile movie disguised as a campy horror movie.
Review: Bruce Campbell delivers a performance perfect for the kind of movie this is. This is maybe the best made movie of the series, and is definitely the most entertaining from a humor standpoint. Even though it uses multiple standard "horror flick" devices, such as corny one-liners and gratuitous nudity, it uses these to its advantage in a movie that is very definitely aware of how bad it was made to be. Entertaining not only for the first time, but is one of the few movies like it that has any kind of rewatch value. A very worthwhile movie.

Summary: What happened to these films?????
Review: Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2 are great, but this film is a major disappointment. The humor is retarded, and the effects are poor for 1992!!! I wish they'd cut out the noticable humor. In Evil Dead, it was funny, but not ridiculous. It was scary, too. But, this one was just soooooooo stupid. It wasn't even scary. I sat through the whole movie, hoping it would end, and laughing at how stupid it was. If they make another Evil Dead movie, PLLLLLEEEEAAASEE make a better one.

Summary: Tell Siskle.com to go home...
Review: A true fan of the movies can only give this film the utmost respect. From the great one-liners to the magnificent slapstick comedy this film can only go into the pile of films that I call my "favorite". I still wish that the DVD version contained the clips that were left out of the film. I would have been alot better if it had. But then again lets hope the re-release it. So if Comedy, action aren't your cup of tea then I go check out somthing that Siskel recomends because I guarantee you that it's gonna be a thrill ride... (Note the sarcasm, I hope you can spot it.)Even though I dont agree with him all the time Ebert is so much better (Ie: Babe)
