Summary: It's just a feel-good movie
Review: I urge anyone...no, I DEMAND that you watch this movie. I thought it was funny and eloquent and oh-so-sweet. It's a tad predictable, but that's okay because you're enjoying the story from start to finish. Seriously, I really, really find this to be a great movie. Also good is The Broken Hearts Club. You must watch that as well.

Summary: This is one crazy movie!
Review: This movie just radiates sexual tension. To have these two guys just desperate to be alone, so they can screw each other, and not be able to do so, was very frustrating to watch. This movie was so funny to watch, and Mark the Go-Go boy was very nice to look at prancing around on the stage in a G-string. I also think that Tori Spelling was good in her role as the whacked out, very talkative, and very hyper best friend (I also got the idea that she might have lesbian tendencies)of the musical composer-I forgot his name.

Summary: Nice DVD (could use more features though)
Review: I stumbled upon this film at a local video store and the packaging seemed interesting so I rented it. I was very glad. This is a great film. It's a nice escape on a weekendnight. Great acting by minor characters (especially by Miss Coco Peru) and good looking eye candy throughout (especially by Scottie Epstein). Tori Spelling and Christian Campbell gave good, solid performances. As far as JPP, he wasn't all that hot to me performance wise. It was a semi-magical romantic comedy about two ... white men looking to "make it." I mean hey, it's cool and all, but can we please see some "alternative-alternative films." How about showing a ... interracial couple? Or -- god forbid -- a movie with two gay non-white characters involved in a meaningful relationship or just a decent story line. I know, in Hollywood, ... movies aren't really considered a "hot commodity" but at least offer some sort of alternative to all these white-centered ... movies. I'm not being prejudice, I'm just someone who knows that there are other ethnic groups out there that are "out" and their stories need to be told as well. Overall, good film to rent on a weekendnight with your "darling angel" or just your "peeps" -- whether you're ..., straight, bi, doesn't matter, expand your horizons.

By the way, the song during the credits by Valerie Pinkston entitled "Trick Of Fate" is very beautiful and concluded the film very well. You should listen to it.

The DVD was okay, the picture quality was nice and the sound was great. The only drawback was the features, or lack thereof. All it was was just the movie, I'm not used to that. No deleted scenes? No outtakes? No commentary? Blahhh.

Summary: This movie sucks
Review: The idea that these 2 characters will fall in love is way beyond believable. Poor performances all around. Tori Spelling shines because the rest of the cast is so horrible.

Summary: A Major Surprise !!!
Review: TRICK is a bolt out of the blue -- a delicious farce-comedy that deals pleasantly and very romantically with two young men who meet with lust on their minds and whose relationship develops into warmth and charm in the course of a muddled and harried night. The "trick" here is the truly superb work of John Paul Pitoc and Christian Campbell, and the zany off-beat casting for Tori Spelling as Campbell's ditsy, no-talent, off-off Broadway actress-singer friend. Pitoc has the kind of charisma that should propel him into important roles. He has the unique ability of not saying a word and conveying the growth in the character. His skills as a comic performer are evident as are his abilities at sensitivity. The goofball comedy follows these two men as they try -- with no success at all - to find a place where they can be alone. Yes, some of the moments, involving Campbell's odd assortments of friends that almost reach straining points. But TRICK snaps back, and you are apt to leave it smiling -- no matter what your sexual preference. It is a surprising delight from literally out of nowhere.

Summary: Fun
Review: The perfect ... date movie. It may not be a gut wrenching dramaor make deep social commentary, but that's not what it's trying todo. It is an enjoyable treat to watch. Just enjoy it for what itis... witty and cute. Tori Spelling isn't even as annoying as Iusually find her to be.

Summary: Misfire
Review: After reading all the sterling reviews, I couldn't wait to treat myself to this "gem." Next time I will be more cautious. The film lacks the sense of humor it advertises. It has no sense of timing. And I felt the characters were generally lifeless, except for the one played by Steve Hayes. To its credit, this is not a film with a message; it wants you to sit back and enjoy. But it simply falls flat. If you like romantic comedies, stick with "It Happened One Night" or "Arsenic and Old Lace."

Summary: A fun movie.
Review: This was a fun movie that I really liked. Tori Spelling was a hoot. Go buy or see this movie you won't be disappointed.

Summary: GREAT!
Review: This is truly a fun movie and total pleasure to watch. The characters are real, funny and touching. All the actors give great performances. Tori spelling is amazing in a supportive role. The sexual tension runs through this movie from beginning to end. One of the best gay-themes films ever made. You will have a great time with this one.

Summary: DVD ERRORS
Review: I love the movie, but was disappointed to discover that despite what's written on the DVD case, it's NOT LETTERBOX FORMAT but FULLSCREEN FORMAT, AND there is only one audio option - English Dolby 2.0 Surround.
