Summary: Great Movie, Great Sound Track?
Review: Ferris Bueller's Day Off is one of my favorite movies. The "one liners" are classic and unforgetable. I was upset that there was never a SOUNDTRACK put together. So I bought the DVD and searched high and low for the original music and put a CD together. It has all of the music and about 20 classic soundbites. All in all it has thirty tracks, sounds great and is always a hit when I put in my car CD player... .

Review: What a classic! "When Cameron was in Egypt's laaand...let my Camerons gooo."This is Matthew Broderick, young and charming, enjoying his journey through Chicago as he cuts high school for a day. He'll have to avoid his determined principal, Mr. Magoo of a dad, and bitter sister to maximize his enjoyment. Then again, how hard is it to enjoy yourself when you've got a quality Ferrari and a cute 80's teen chick? Ferris Bueller's Day Off is ultimately enjoyable because the characters are believable and lovable, there are numerous funny moments, it'll make you sentimental for high school, and of course, you've got the feel-good parade scene. And who can forget the immortal Ben Stein? "Bueller.....Bueller.....Bueller..." Buy this tape and watch it whenever you're down, because it's a good ride that doesn't require much intellectual involvement.

Review: "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" is a classic movie about a popular troublemaker named Ferris (Matthew Broderick) and a day that he skipped high school. He gets his girlfriend, Sloane (Mia Sara), and one of his friends, Cameron (Alan Ruck), to spend the day with him. Ferris is taking the day off from high school because he wants to show Cameron what it's like to have some fun instead of being so uptight and worried about everything. Principal Rooney (Jeffrey Jones) is upset at Ferris and wants to catch him live in his act because this is the ninth school day that Ferris has missed this semester. "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" is great because it has many classic parts such as when Ferris decides to take Cameron's father's car for a ride, Principal Rooney's expedition to Ferris's house, and all the pranks that Ferris pulls to keep from being caught such as the dummy that snores in the bed. Myself, I skipped a few days in high school just because I was sick of school and wanted to take a day off. If you ever made your parents think you were sick and then they went to work and you just did what you wanted to the rest of the day instead of going to school, you'll like this movie even better. I recommend anybody who likes comedy movies or anyone who ever played hookie before in high school to get "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." Trust me, you won't be disappointed

Review: It was good and I know there's no love triangle. But I have to admit, it did get sappy after Cameron destroyed the Ferrari. I still love this movie though

Review: I'm a 14 year old who watched this last Tuesday when it was on the WB and loved it. The only criticism I have is for making Ferris want to marry Sloane. He knows she doesn't respect Cameron. What makes him think she'll respect him? You don't fall in love with someone who treats your best friend like dirt. It just doesn't work. He is clever enough to do a good job cutting school but he's not very wise when it comes to girls.

Review: One of the most delightful movies that I have ever seen. My only complaint is that the characters constantly swear and/or take the Lord's name in vain. There is a website that cleans up movies. Can anyone tell me what it is so I can get this cleaned up for my grandsons?

Summary: A warm and funny film for multiple generations
Review: Have to disagree with the editorial review on this one. I'm 31, and a high school teacher now (ironic, yes?) and when I've shown this film to various groups of late-90s and early 21st century 14-16 year olds, they still relate to this film in a big way and get as much out of it as we ever did. It's a wonderfully well-balanced mix of comedy and growing-up-landmark moments, and the music choices, as ever with Hughes' so-called "teen flicks", are superb. The highlight for me is the Dream Academy's stunning instrumental version of The Smiths' "Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want" (in the art gallery scene)... The disc itself is quite good, with a terrific commentary track from John Hughes, full of his amazingly clear memories of the making of the film. What else could it have? Perhaps some of the deleted scenes and so on which Hughes makes reference to in his commentary would have rounded out the extras rather better. Besides that, this is a remarkably good package for a film now almost the same age as its heroic protagonist and which was forever labelled with that throwaway, almost derogatory term, "teen flick". That makes it sound so disposable. I've yet to meet any fan of it from my generation who truly thinks it ever will be. So, erm, harrumph, where is the Pretty In Pink disc now, Paramount? :)

Summary: The definitive High School movie
Review: Ferries Bueller is what every teenager yearns to be: free, independant, quick-witted and spontaneous. This is every teen's dream. Cut school and have a blast. Watching this movie makes me miss high school so much, and it's only been 2 years. Unfortunately high school life was never like this, but this movie definitely is a blast and has non-stop laughs. Ferris(Broderick) even gives you some tips on how to fool your parents into thinking you're sick!(kids, pay attention!) One of my favorite movies, and a must-own for anyone who misses high school or wants to make something special out of it.

Review: this is my FAVE movie after watching it last night with a couple of friends. it's 'bout this boy who everyone REALLy likes cuz he gets them out of school or does favors 4 them. in this movie ferris pretends 2 be sick and gets 2 stay home. he and his best friend play trix on peole and go 2 pick up ferris's girlfriend. its really hilarious

Summary: Who needs love when you have a 1961 Ferrari?
Review: Sweet car! This movie is obviously a fantasy. A cool, popular kid gets to skip school whenever he feels like it. He's a hero to his schoolmates and his airhead parents never notice. He has a really cute girlfriend and a weak but enjoyable best friend who he can push around. His main adversary is a hapless jerk of a principal. He has one zany adventure after another and takes it all in stride. A sweet, innocent, imaginary take on the secret lives of teens. John Hughes loves teen angst but manages to show a little restraint here. Not every teenager is a mess, just one. Alan Ruck plays Ferris' troubled buddy, Cameron. Cameron is spinelessly terrified of his unloving father. Its an oddly realistic juxtaposition in such a lightweight movie and it almost, but not quite, works. Matthew Broderick made a name for himself as the whimsical and clever Ferris. The movie is his. If he blows it, this movie sucks. He pulls it off with a sort of, "I'm so cute, I'm cool and you can't help but like me" persona. I couldn't help but think of a teenage version of the little boy in Home Alone. One thing Hughes is very good at, is showing how average teenagers have either contempt or indifference to almost any adult figure. As if teens and adults live in completely different worlds, which they do. Hughes takes a look at the light side of the teenage world. Fun from beginning to end with several truly hilarious bits.
