Summary: Great High School Movie.
Review: This movie is probably the greatest teen movie of the 1980s to most people. I mean who could forget the classroom part "Bueller, Bueller" or the jealous sister or the part where the car has to many miles on it so they try to get the mileage down by putting the car in reverse and it runs out of the shack. This movie released in 1986 is a classic and shouldn't be forgotten. The DVD could have been much better featuring extras but is great in widescreen and feels like you're watching it in theatres.

Summary: 36 year old woman who still loves this movie
Review: I saw Ferris Bueller's Day Off in a movie theater when I was 21 years old and I thought it was hilarious, I'm now 36 and I still think it's hilarious, though the movie was mostly very funny it also has some sad moments like when after the thing with his father's car and Cameron kind of goes off the deep end you could tell that even though his parents were rich his family life was less than perfect and you get the feeling that his parents were very cold people who cared more about their material things than their own son which would explain why Cameron was such an emtional wreck! Some people will probably complain about the bathroom humor but I thought the bathroom humor in the scene with the electronic keyboard was totally funny and also appropriate as it was done to make every one at his high school think he was ill. Matthew Broderick is wonderful in this movie and Jennifer Grey, Mia Sara and Alan Ruck were also very good.

Review: This movie is Hughes' best. However, you have to be 20 or under to really find it amusing. I agree it is childish and stupid, but I am in the under 20 category, so I like that.The movie does lag, and Ferris' addresses to the camera should have continued throughout the movie. Funny for the right group of people. I have been reading other reviews and I have two comments: 1) Maybe I should watch the DVD to find out if your low ratings are warranted. Need to get a DVD player first. 2) i think some of you people need spelling lessons. Americans that is, I can understand the foreigners' struggles, but you Americans, c'mon. Sorry for being so mean.

Summary: One of the Best 80's Movies Ever
Review: Just about everyone has seen this movie, and just about everyone loves it. What I like about it is the high replay value since the movie stays entertaining no matter how many times you see it. The DVD is almost bare-bones which is a bit of a let-down, but the video quality and sound more than make up for its shortcomings. The video is very sharp and vivid, not at all what I was expecting from a movie this old. The 5.1 mix is a nice touch too. I can't recommend this movie enough.

Review: This movie will continue for generations as the funniest movie ever. I loved it! Two great starring roles with Matthew Broderick(Godzilla) and Alan Ruck(Speed, Spin City). The best comedy movie ever, to me anyways! It's about a kid(Matthew Broderick) who fakes being sick and his parents fall for it everytime and skips the day and has a whole lot of fun. But then, his principal starts going after him. It's really funny, watch this!!!!!!!!

Review: No child of the 80s can call themselves complete with owning this DVD. Suprisingly enough the DVD is of top notch quality, although a little lacking in the special feature department. Let me just clarify that the only special feature the DVD contains is just a commentary. Otherwise the DVD is perfect, a nice keep case, no snap cases here folks. Furthermore the movie is displayed in widescreen and you will here it in beautiful Dolby Digital 5.1. Packed full of humor and fun moments this is a must have for any DVD collector.

Review: What would a typical day be if you always got away with everything? Check in on Ferris and you'll have some idea. John Hughes, master of 80s teens dramas like Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles created an eighties film icon when he brought this film to the screen. The film is filled with old fashioned film and theatrical techniques, that to the youth of the day, was interpreted as new and cutting edge... Ferris (Matthew Broderick in the role he was born to play) spends a lot of time talking directly to the audience as his character would be the only one in the film with the guts to let anyone else see... He is surrounded by his beautiful girlfriend Sloane (Mia Sara) and browbeaten buddy, Cameron. Although Sloane's role is pretty thankless, Cameron is the most troublesome character; it is the film's weak link even with a sufficient performance by Alan Ruck. Cameron is at times the anti-Ferris, someone who lives in constant fear of his father and authority in general. Ferris is so popular that he gets two antagonists to his adventure, his sister Jeannie (Jennifer Grey) and a school administrator played by the wonderful Jeffrey Jones. He is always willing to have every joke at his expense. One of the unwritten stars of this film is the beautiful city of Chicago, providing many of the great outdoor scenes. In fact, Ferris commands the attention of thousands of Chicago parade watchers and turns them to celebrate his whim to the strains of "DANKE SCHOEN" and TWIST AND SHOUT. This is one of the most rewarding, mindless scenes in recent history. The DVD nicely accentuates the English pop soundtrack and the video transfer is great. One drawback is one of the most boring audio commentaries in recent memory from the director John Hughes. Be sure to stay through the closing credits... Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?

Review: Ferris Bueller is kind of a 80's classic movie about adolescence. Probably to most of the young people out there, it won't mean anything - there are not so many bad words and there are no sex scenes - but to those in their thirties (or late twenties like me) this is one of the most loved movies ever! Since the movie is very well known I won't spend many lines writing about it (I think you already got how I think about it!)and I will focus on the DVD edition. Is it worth it? Yes, it definetively is! The image quality is superb, especially considering that 16 years have passed by (anamorphic format is available) and also the soundtrack sounds good. Too bad the extra material is just the director commentary (very interesting by the way) but you can't have it all! So do not waste other time, go and take this DVD now! Twist and shout!

Summary: This is a bomb movie.
Review: I don't know if I gave a review of this movie or not, but right now I'm going on a nostaglia kick so I'm just reviewing all these childhood movies left and right. Well, Bueller this was the movie that was it. It's "so choice." The music from the movie is cool I loved that song "Big City" whent they were going to Chicago. Ferris is cool. His friend is cool. His car is cool. Everything about it was just cool. Just a lot of memorable scenes. This is my movie and I love it. Peace.
