Summary: The perfect romantic comedy
Review: If you are looking for a romantic comedy, look no further. This is a perfect example of the genre.

The characters are well developed and the ending, although necessarily predictable, is fresh and moving.

See this movie!

Summary: One of the best
Review: Definitely one of the best romantic comedies ever... I've watched so many times!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Good AOL commercial
Review: This movie is entertaining enough to watch when it runs on TV. The story is full of cliches. I enjoy romance stories with some hint of realism. How could Meg Ryans be so clueless when her associate knows so many details about her? The scenes and characters are sweet enough for Hallmark. Real people are good and bad. These characters lack depth. I like Meg Ryans and Tom Hanks a lot so I give this 2 stars; one for each of them.

Summary: Good but Unrealistic
Review: Okay this was a sweet romantic movie, what else would you expect it has Meg Ryan in it. However don't any of these people know that there are psychos on the internet who would end up falling in love and meeting one of them. Also when Tom Hanks began reading Pride and Predjudice I totally felt for him because whenever you read a Jane Austen book and you are a guy you are going to be so bored. Anyway the story is that two rivals meet on the internet and exchange emails they hate each other in real life but on the internet it is like they are a match made in heaven. Could it be love or is it just a bad email connection either way it is as sweet as could be. I would recommend this to anyone it does not have to mature of themes and it is PG so there is no gross out stuff. I hope that this review has helped you in making a decision about the movie You've Got Mail.

Summary: Internet Dating
Review: This is a true love story. Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan meet each other via e-mail even though they hate each other. Except when they meet it is not what they expect. Tom is actually a 66 year old man trying to score young chicks, while Meg is actually a teenager looking for a sugar daddy. They meet and tomfoolery ensues, more like TomHanksfoolery!!. LOL!! This shows the reality of what the internet brings to dating.

Summary: Irresistible chick flick
Review: Oh boy, what a pleasure this one is. Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks go together like cinnamon and sugar. Here's the deal: Ryan owns a little children's bookstore that's about to get gobbled up by a mega-chain owned by Hanks. She hates him and everything he stands for and is unaware that he's the yummy guy at the other end of an online romance that's moving toward an inevitable conclusion.
You know how it's going to end. You know it from the first opening credits. You know it at every step along the way. That the Ephron sisters (Delia and Nora) could write and direct this predictable movie in such a way that most viewers fall in love with it (well, the women viewers, anyway) is a testament to their talent - and that of Ryan and Hanks. You know in your gut what the final scene is going to be - and STILL you get all choked up and mushy and weepy.
Top marks in every voting category.

Summary: FANTASTIC MOVIE I HAVE WATCHED OVER 100 TIMES!!
Review: This movie is a very awesome romantic comedy. Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan are finally reunited from there last movie togeather. (Sleepless In Seattle) It is one of those feel good movies that keeps your eyes glued to the tv to find out what's gonna happen next. This movie will be a classic in about 20 years. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Summary: A nice romantic comedy
Review: I'm a big fan of Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan from other movies where they starred together such as Sleepless in Seattle and Joe vs. the Volcano and now this wonderful adaptation of a modern day online classic.

I think a lot of us can relate to this movie, meeting someone online... not really knowing each other but always hoping they are wonderful in real life. In this case, they both obviously like each other online, but in real life have this professional opposition with the companies they own - with him putting her out of business, etc.

But this is also a very realistic movie (putting the coincidence aside that they really know each other) in the fact that relationships fail, people get stood up, people have high expectations, and you never know what to expect online.

Summary: Pleasant diversion.
Review: It's generally acknowledged that Tom and Meg are both likeable. There are some good, funny moments. There's some good music. There's the obligatory happy ending. All in all, if you take this for what it is -- a pleasant diversion -- it's not a bad movie.
I do want to pick at a couple of things, though:
1. One of the messages seems to be that if a greedy corporation eliminates your job, it's okay because the handsome, rich young exec of the corporation will ask you to marry him.
2. What an outrageously misleading advertisement for AOL this movie was. Did you see how FAST Meg got dialed in and connected? No busy signals, no being downgraded to a secondary, 28K connection. What a crock.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: GREAT MOVIE
Review: The ultimate feel good movie! This movie is almost the same as "Sleepless in Seattle", except that Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan play totally different characters than the last film, and the funny thing is is that they know each other, and dislike each other, until the emails (using their screen names only), they fall in love with each other ensuring a warm and witty comedy.
