Rating: Summary: Simpsons Mania!!!! Review: This is Great! And it's about time! For fans this marks a Great day, and for Simpsons haters, if there are any, just another DVD set. I can safely say this will be a big hit, and why shouldn't it be? The Simpsons have earned it with 13 years of hysterical and at times touching moments that have become a part of American culture. I just hope they decide to release the rest of the collection as well as keep it on the air for years to come. Those who don't like it can "Eat my shorts"!
Rating: Summary: Finally Review: Ever since the advent of Digital versital discs I have been waiting for this moment. The Simpsons finally come to DVD. Only a fool or someone who does not like the simpsons ( all three of you) would pass this up. I plan on buying each seasons set as it becomes avible so I can relive each "Doh", "I didn't do it" and "mmmmmmmmmmmm Doughnuts AGGGGGGGGHHHHH." This is a must buy collection for all Simpsons fans as if you have a DVD player and you say you are a and you don't get this your lying.
Rating: Summary: A Must Have! Review: Sure season one wasn't the funniest Simpsons season ever, but if you are a true Simpsons fan, you need to get this. Eventually all the seasons will be out and I bet the first few will be hard to find, so preorder it now!
Rating: Summary: Yuck. Review: I always forget how... yucky... the drawings of the first season are. And the jokes...But hey, this is it. The first season. It only gets better from here. The DVD is strangely put together. The most lacking feature is a "Play All Episodes" option. Instead, every 22 - 24 minutes, I'm clicking through menus to get to the next episode. I also seem to remember more "bonus" stuff promised than what was included. Hmmm. The commentaries are the best part, but they only amuse for so long. After 3 hours of the Simpsons, there's that feeling of having had enough, but there's still another disc-and-a-half waiting for you. D'OH! I guess you must be scratching your head by now: 5 stars, but I haven't said one good thing about the collection. It's the Simpsons's on DVD. I knew it was worth 5 stars before I even bought it. Any fan will own this, and most likely already does. And hopefully, Fox will get the next set out soon, fix the annoyances in the first, and things will be good.
Rating: Summary: This is to much!!! Review: Man let me tell you, when I saw that this was coming out it almost blew my mind. What can I say about The Simpsons, a cast of fools that keep the good times coming. Even if you have seen the re-runs over & over again you cant help but to keep laughing. Listen here, I'm going to grab this DVD to show my kids the best running series I have seen in my lifetime.
Rating: Summary: Worst episode EVER........ Review: I found out about this DVD set about 2 months ago, and the minute I heard of it, I almost lost it. The Simpsons are hands-down the BEST SHOW on television. It's much better than other animated shows like South Park, which relies on its "adult material" way too much. Unlike that series, The Simpsons is pure comedy without falling into complete absurdity. I have to admit that some of the first season episodes are not as good as some of the later ones, but the quality is still there..in spades (by the way, the drawings and animation is a little crude). If you've never heard of the simpsons, then you've been living under a rock, this is one of the most popular shows on TV, and has remained popular for almost 12 years. One of the best aspects of this show is the fact that almost every little detail brings something to the table in terms of comedy. Example: In the episode were Bart gets kicked out of school,(season 4, esiode: "whacking Day"), and Marge sends him to a Christian school (for 2 minutes), a sign on the school entrance says "We put the FUN in FUNdamentalist Dogma", now if you don't find that funny, then you need to check for a pulse! What I'm trying to say is that this is one of the few comedy shows that has its fair share of one-liners (many "D'ohs", "ay carambas","worst episode ever", etc.)but these only add to the overall value of each episode, and like I said, if you're a HUGE simpsons fan (like myself) then you need to analyze EVERYTHING, every little detail, etc., cause you can be sure you'll find something funny everywhere you look. I don't know about the DVD...but I am glad the episodes will be shown in full screen format (wide screen would suck), and it has sooooooo many extras! I mean, commentary on every episode, special outtakes, original scripts and ONE UNAIRED EPISODE ... Oh yeah. life can be sweet sometimes! By the way, I'm glad the first season doesn't include "another simpsons clip show" (part of season 6) cause that is the worst episode EVER(if you're a simpsons fan, you'll understand).
Rating: Summary: packed! Review: this dvd is packed full of extras....but the best part is just having my favorite show on dvd after a long wait. if you like simpsons then grab this one it's a no brainer.
Rating: Summary: If you are a true Simpsons fan buy this! Review: I cannot wait until this DVD comes out. It is a good thing Matt Groening has made this otherwise what would Simpsons fans do without there favorite episodes that they dont play anymore on TV? anway this has the original 13 episodes. "Simpsons Roasting on a open fire, Bart the Genius, Homer's Oddysey, There's no digrace like home, Bart the general, Moaning Lisa, The Call of the Simpsons, The Telltale Head, Life on the Fastlane, Homer's night out, The Crepes of Wrath, Krusty gets busted, and Some Enchanted Evening".This DVD also includes documentaries for each episode. A lot of people hate these episodes but a true Simpsons fan will enjoy it like me.
Rating: Summary: Simply the best! Review: The Simpsons continues to be one of the finest television shows ever made. For people who continue to insist that animation is "for children only," here is the rebuttal to that argument. I've always loved animated programs, and The Simpsons is certainly among the best of my favorites. I've waited and waited for the day to finally be able to own it on DVD, and am glad to see that day had finally arrived. Long live the Simpsons!!
Rating: Summary: At long last... Review: If you're like me you've probably been waiting for your favorite annimated family to make their jump onto DVD. I had seen The Simpsons on VHS, but I have a DVD player, and wanted collections on DVD. Finally our prayers have been answered. The first season is here, and hopefully this won't be the end of it... The Simpsons have evolved over time, and more DVD collections is something I hope we see.
