Rating: Summary: Best. Season. Ever. Review: Season 3 for me was the beginning of the real Simpsons. Starting with this season, the jokes had underwritten social commentary, the voices were genuine, and the character animation was hilariously fluid (whatever that means). The episodes for this season are some of the most hilarious ever produced - from "For the last time Mattingly, SHAVE THOSE SIDEBURNS!", to the introduction of Herschel Krustofsky's dad. I may buy every single Simpsons episode that ever comes out, but my real favorite will always be the Season 3 (and 4, eventually) collection. Why? Because it's at this point that there was suddenly more to the Simpsons than just "Ay carumba" and "Don't have a cow, man!".
Rating: Summary: Frabulous grabulous zip zoop zabulous season Review: This is the 2nd part of my review which only went up yo Separate Vocations.Dog of Death- An expensive operation on the dog makes the Simpsons live a life of austerity Colonel Homer- Homer starts managing a country singer he meets in a bar. Guest voice:Beverly D'Angelo as Lurleen Lumpkin Black Widower- Sideshow Bob gets out of prison and marries Selma. Guest voice: Kelsey Grammer as Sideshow Bob The Otto Show- After being fired as a bus driver Bart allows Otto to live with him. Guest voices: ( the Spinal Tap members) Christopher Guest as Nigel Tufnel, Michael McKean as David St. Hubbins, and Harry Shearer as Derek Smalls Bart's Friend Falls in Love- Milhouse falls in love with a new girl named Samantha Stanky. Guest voice: Kimmy Robertson as Samantha Stanky Brother, Can You Spare Two Dimes- Homer reunites with his half-brother Herb Powell. Guest voices: Danny DeVito as Herb Powell and Joe Frazier as himself Those are all the episodes in that season. All the episodes are wonderful in this season. So that'd be good enough for a DVD set, wouldn't it? No, FOX will include special features and audio commentary on each episode. What I'd like to see as a special feature would be all of The Tracy Ullman Show shorts. Well, I hope the DVD is out soon
Rating: Summary: Can't Wait!!!! Review: Alright People! I can't even wait for the second season DVD to come out and know I hear about the third already. Damn, I want this so bad!!!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: This is the Complete 3d season. The 3d season is one of the best seasons. Homer's voice is nailed down and the animation is good. This season contains classic episodes like "Flaming Moe's" " Brother Can You Spare Two Dimes" and "Stark Raving Dad." The episodes in this season are hilarious. My favorite episode in the season is "Homer at the Bat" ( which confuses me since I'm not a baseball fan) and my brother's favorite episode is "Radio Bart." Though this DVD isn't in development yet I hope it's out soon. If your a fan you should buy the complete 1st and 2nd seasons too. Hopefull the get all the seasons up to 8 out soon. I think seasons 2 through 8 are all excellent.

Rating: Summary: Another great season but not many special features Review: Another great season but there are not many special features unlike seasons 1 and 2 or 4 and 5. But the commercials are great and all 24 episodes are great so it doesnt matter.

I love their boxsets and I will buy everyone of them until I buy the season of which they retire. The only set back to these DVDs is that they take about one year to come out. Rating: Summary: Ignore JD's "review" Review: In Season 3, there's still a couple of small character tweaks which hadn't been fully developed yet (Wiggum's hair, Ralph's voice, etc.), and there's still some now-familiar characters yet to make their debut...but as far as the episodes go, there's just as many bulls-eyes here as there are in both Seasons 4 & 5. I know the animators tend to criticize the early seasons (including this one) for not being as sharp and glossy as later efforts--and I may agree with them to some extent about the first two seasons--but there's something appealing to me about season 3. Stylistically, the animation is "close enough" to what we're used to seeing nowadays, but here you can practically see the blood, sweat & tears poured into each episode...I dunno, I guess these little imperfections have a bit of charm to 'em IMO. To me, Season 3 should get as much love as Season 4 & 5, and IMO all 3 of 'em are the quintessential desert island DVDs of Simpsons episodes...
Rating: Summary: Funny Funny Funny Review: I own seasons 1-4 of this. In my opinion this is the best show on television. Of the 4 seasons I own I must say this is my absoloute favorite. It includes my favorite episode of all time and has several others that rival for spots in the top 5 ever. The one that I said was my favorite is called Homer at Bat. It is the hilarious story of Homer joining the plant softball team with his new secret weapon "Wonderbat". He inspires the other plant workers to fight to win. They make it to the championship by working hard only to be replaced for the big game. The other episode that truly rivals this is Radio Bart in which bart receives a birthday gift from his father which turns out to be the biggest prank player of a lifetime. In conclusion on a scale of 1 to 100 this would be a 101. You WILL laugh your a** off.
Rating: Summary: The Simpsons at their dysfunction best!! Review: I love this box set!! This was the first one I got from the Simpsons series and it's truly hilarious. This one contains 24 brilliant episodes from the 3rd season with some that are stand out classics. The commentaries also include the voice actors who are just as hilarious in commentary as they are on the show.
The box-set starts off with the episode 'Stark Raving Dad' which is my all-time favourite episode. This stars an uncredited Michael Jackson who plays a obese mental patient who thinks he's really Michael Jackson and Homer meets him in an asylum. Other classic episodes include 'Bart the Murderer', 'Homer Defined', 'Flaming Moes', 'Burn Verkaufen der Kraftwerk', 'Radio Bart', 'Homer at the Bat', and 'Brother Can You Spare Two Dimes?'
This season had really developed since seasons 1-2 and is definitely better and funnier. The jokes are more witty, the stories are great, the animation is better and best of all, this is the Simpsons at their BEST!! Seasons 3-4-5 are claimed to be the shows peak so it's well worth it.
To really sum up the highlights to Simpson watchers, it has the unforgettable rhapsody of Homer in 'The Land Of Chocolate', Selma marrying Bart's enemy Sideshow Bob, Homer winning the 'First Annual Montgomery Burns Outstanding Achievement In The Field Of Excellence' and re-uniting with his estranged half-brother, Bart getting trapped in a well, Homer inventing a famous drink and Bart being charged for murder. These are only SOME of the highlights and I'm sure you'll definitely find this DVD box-set very amusing and is a must for fans. As I said, it's the Simpsons at it's BEST!!
