Summary: A satsfying experience
Review: A commentary on what has changed since season 2 DVDs

note: from the last two years, either a disc from seasons 1 and 2 is always in my player

Besides the quality of each episode, what has improved since the season 2 DVD's is the COMMENTARY. The voice cast joins the now familiar writers and producers and the topics to which they wander contain more annecdotal material. More revealed are detailed twists in the conceptions of various shows, voice cast commentary on the personality and psyche of their character, staff rapport is VERY lively and liesurely. Really ~ so much more entertaining is the commentary! You will also note the overlapping and rehashing of commentary material between seasons 1 and 2, not so in this season, although minimal.
Listen for the writer's mental releases on other parodied movies besides Citizen Kane, Psycho, etc., voice cast quick observations on behavior of their on-screen counterparts, voice cast likes to switch to their character's voice occasionally during commentary with writer and producer hilarity ensuing. It's just fun to hear Julie Kavener, Yeardley Smith and Dan Castellaneta (sp) add their insights this time around. Sudden erruptions of laughter from cast and crew are a joy! You will laugh with these DVDs

Replay value is just a hair greater than 1 or 2 because the special features are no longer limited each disk, but ARE PECULIAR TO EACH EPISODE: included are pop up pencils that allow one to see original story boards AS the movie plays and VH1-inspired pop up info bubbles. not to give too much away, also included on the last disk is a video jukebox of all musicals in this season

Essential DVD purchase for the Simpsons fan. Not many things pop up in this world that are worthwhile, but owning these DVDs are definitely worth the time EVERY time you sit down to watch them.

Summary: One Of The Best Shows On Televison!
Review: I watch a few shows on televison, mostly on Nickelodeon and CartoonNetwork, but I have to say the only family show I like is The Simpsons. Some people say that Season 1 and 2 were not that good and I have to admit the animation was pretty bad, but some of the episodes were not that bad. I have seasons 1 and 2 and the best thing to do if your bored is sit back and watch the Simpsons. Season 3, I have heard is one of the best of the earlier seasons of The Simpsons and I really want to get it. I have started watching Futurama, the other show that Matt Groening made and I thought it was okay, but it still wasn't The Simpsons. The Simpsons, I have to say, is the best show on Fox. The Simpsons is a great show and I hope it goes on forever.

Summary: Another Simpsons Classic!!!
Review: I have to say that I am impressed with this third outing. I picked up my box set on the 24th of August. There are 6 episodes on each of the four dics. Also, there are supposedly easter eggs hidden on each of the four dics. I have yet to look for those. The title screen animation is fantastic as it alternates through 6 or 7 different ones randomly. If you click on the episode select screen you will see an animation involving the family. Go back and do it again and you will see various ones. They are all funny and have their own charm. The one thing about this set that I do not like is the episode and chapter select screens. They are both laid out on a pitch black tile rather than a colorful background screen with a character from the show (like the previous two sets). This is the one drawback from making this a perfect set. Just seems that it goes from one extreme to another when you go from the colorful title screen to an episode select screen with the only color being the titles of the episodes and the audio and caption selections. As far as the episodes themselves the video quality is great and the episodes themselves are hilarous. I am glad that they finally decided to add the Spanish audio to the discs as this was sorely missing from the first two. Being a bilingual family we can now watch The Simpsons in both English and Spanish. Well I hope everyone enjoys this set.

Summary: The begining of something wonderful
Review: The third season, as to what most people say, is where the show becomes perfect. The first season was the first season, the second got really good, and the third is simply amazing. So many hilarious and philosophical things take place, so I won't jam up web space with them all, but I"d have to say one of my favorite quotes would be homer's, "if we agree then why are we arguing?"

Summary: Simpsons in their prime
Review: Even though the Simpsons is my favorite show of all times, I will agree that season one, and parts of season two were kind of slow for most of my friends (i.e. one friend doesnt like season one because the animation was still in its early stages) but Season Three is when the simpsons were in their prime! Some of the best episodes came from this season. Remember the Michael Jackson episode, Flaming Moes, Homer at Bat? Griffy gets gigantism, Scioscia gets radiation posioning, Burns has to keep telling Mattingly to shave his sideburns!?! HAHA classic Simpsons. A MUST BUY FOR EVERYONE!

Summary: So many DVDs, so little time
Review: This is truly where the Simpsons began to hit it big. I think we are all ecstatic that the Simpsons made it through season one to beceome one of the best (if not the best) shows of all time. I would like to say one thing to all those looking at this DVD in reference specifically to Season 2. While this set is really the true beginning, Season 2 has enough goodness to make it worth the purchase as well. (For the hardcore they are all a must obviously). I also highly recommend The Family Guy Season one and two. (Now available) and The Family Guy Guy Season 3 (September 9th). I promise you won't be dissapointed.

Summary: CONSISTENTLY THE BEST SHOW ON TELEVISION and possibly EVER
Review: NOTE TO PRODUCERS and DISTRIBUTORS OF SIMPSONS DVD'S: Release these faster! (LOL) The Third season was 1991!! That means we're 12 years behind! At this pace, we won't get to the most recent episodes until the year 2015... I don't know if we're gonna be around that long, the way things are looking. Not to mention whether or not we'll be using DVD's?

Anyway... The Simpsons is, consistently, by far, the best show on television and possibly ever. The humor, a few years back, I assumed would probably run out of flavor and things would get old. Never! In fact, it just gets better. The producers brilliantly create new jokes and find new ways to make fun of themselves and the world at large.

Please keep up the fantastic work and release these DVD's faster! I'm so anxious to own them and see them again over and over, I could burst!

Who knows... maybe in a couple of years people won't be interested and you'll have lost all those potential sales... aaaahhh, nevermind... just trying whatever I can.

Summary: Great show
Review: The listing looks great. Unfortunately, they are dismally slow at releasing this. It's pitiful that we have to wait a year per season.

Sorry folks, that is just plain dumb. Every other TV show out there is realeasing DVDs earlier, why can't Simpsons?

Oh well, I have most of this stuff on videotape anyway. And who needs the commentary? I just want to see the episodes.
