Summary: Goodbye my Friends, I'll miss you!!
Review: I don't really care what some people say, thier definatly entitled to thier own oppinion. But I for one, am really going to miss friends. I practically grew up watching this show, and I think it went out the same way it came in; beautifully.
Some people may not have appreciated the subtle little things that made this episode great. Like the scene where they all left their keys on the table, that one moment of sentiment was almost too much!! It really is an end to a landmark show. Friends really has left it's mark on television. Alot of people did love this show, and those people out there who didn't like it can think of the most horrible things to say about it. Good or bad, Friends is going to be a show that everyone will remember.
I can't wait to see what becomes of Matt Le blank's spinn-off "Joey". It sure has some huge shoes to fill as the replacement for Friends, I just hope none of us are dissapointed. I really think he can handle the job, he's not as dumb as you might think!! He really is a great actor, and I'm glad he's the one who got the spinn-off.
Anyway, if you ask me, the way Friends ended was just perfect. Sure, I wish there was still another episode on next week, but everything must end sometime. I really enjoyed the show while it had it's run, but now I can remember it as a television classic. I'm really going to miss it!!

Summary: end of an era
Review: I am so glad that this is going to be out on dvd, especially considering that it will be out only 5 days after it was aired. It also includes the pilot episode as well. The price of the dvd is reasonable too.

Summary: The Long Goodbye
Review: It's finally over. After what seemed like the longest build up to a series finale in the history of television, Friends finally ended its run, on May 6th 2004. When it first hit the airways in '94, I will admit that I liked it a lot, and bought into all of the friend-zy (sorry, I couldn't resist) that took the show to the top of the ratings and made superstars out of its cast. While I have seen almost every episode, I have to say that, I actually thought the quality of the show wasn't as good during its last season and it should have wrapped after year nine. Therefore, the final Friends episode, to me was overhyped, predictable and anticlimactic.

The ending was telegraghed long before the show even aired when it was announced that Joey (Matt Le Blanc) would be getting his own spin-off. Series creators Marta Kaufman and David Crane, along with executive producer/director of the finale Kevin S. Bright took these characters nowhere that wasn't already fortold in other episodes in the series. C'mon did anyone really think Ross (David Schwimmer) and Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) wouldn't end up together? I found it hard to imagine that it would end any other way for them. Considering their decade long back and forth, and the fact that they already have a child together (where was Emma anyway?) Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) tied the knot as part of Febuary sweeps and by episode's end seemed ready to start a family with Mike (guest star Paul Rudd). Monica (Courtney Cox Arquette) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) were already headed to the hospital, with the surrogate mom about ready to give birth to their child, in the penultimate episode. All of this as they were about to move into a newly puchased home. I'm not saying that someone should have died or something like that, but as I say, everything was telegraphed. There was nothing compelling. Some of it made me chuckle but that's it. I may be in the minority here but I believe that it would have been better if Ross and Rachel just missed each other...There's nothing like a missed opportunity. It would have been unexpected and made it more poniant for me. Even though, Friends was just a sit com, considering all the hype NBC heaped on the finale--playing it safe was, I guess, the only way to go. The finale seemed more like an afterthought or a postscript.

The fact that the studio is putting this out on DVD so fast just proves that all they want folks to do is spend hard earned dough on something that will be aired again before too long...Can you say milking it. The disc features the finale (with unseen footage), the series pilot (already released on DVD), outtakes and more...I liked Friends a lot during its run. As for the end--it was past its time...and not quite the classic conclusion that the end of Cheers, The Mary Tyler Moore Show or Newhart was.

Summary: Friends finale was laudable
Review: For all of you who have nothing better to do than post your negative reviews of an episode that hadn't aired when you wrote them, you need to grow up. Friends has been on the air for ten years and has enjoyed massive success, so obviously there are many *many* people who disagree with your opinions. You're entitled to your thoughts, but when you attack the "greediness" of actors who realize that they're being paid a miniscule percentage of earnings from the show THEY make famous and consequently work together for fair wages, you display your lack of knowledge.
As it stands, the Friends finale was as touching and funny as all Friends fans expected it to be, with just the right balance between the showing depth of the relationships and its signature comedy. I, for one, will be purchasing this DVD!

Summary: FRIENDS FOREVER
Review: I bought this DVD even though I watched the Finale last night. Was it a marketing ploy? Absolutely. Is it a good price? Absolutely. Is the pilot included in all of Season One? Absolutely. Can everyone AFFORD to buy ALL of the seasons that are out on DVD now?Absolutely NOT. So, for those of you interested in buying this DVD, buy it if you want - don't let others, non-fans, change your minds due to their bitterness.

I am also a fan of "24" and love that show, but it also can be absurd and very far-fetched at times but I still watch it and don't blast it and I own both Seasons of that, as well as Seasons 1-7 of Friends. So, what does that mean - I LOVE both shows. You don't have to be restricted to being "loyal" to one show - PLEASE. Just because one person likes something, doesn't mean you have to; but don't criticize those that do like the show and watched EVERY episode - in reality - we ALL have one show we love and are attached to and will defend until our dying day. Write a real review people - a meaningful one; not one based on bias and bitterness for whatever reason.

Was I disappointed in the finale; a little bit but it's very hard to take one hour to finalize 10 years and make it GREAT. But, it's my money, and I'll spend it as I wish, regardless of some of these petty reviews and I definitely bought this DVD! :)

Summary: Cultural Icon
Review: Friends is a cultural icon. It represents different things for different people. For some of us, it reminds us of greedy actors and the superficiality of the world right now; for others, it's a show that reminds us of all of our friends and different things that have happened in our lives. Most people watch television sitcoms for the latter. Likewise, most people that write horrible reviews for shows/books/movies like Friends (that have absolutely no real reasoning behind their opinions), are people that either don't have any friends or don't have a life.

Summary: Good Bye Friends
Review: To all of those who are dissing this show in its entirety has there right to their own opinion, but the point of this review is to review the DVD itself not the whole show. So as a FRIENDS fan i feel that those of you who never liked the show shouldn't be reviewing the Final Episode. I have seen the Final Episode and i thought it was great,I could watch Friends over and over again. FRIENDS ROCK!!!!

Summary: Loved It
Review: I loved this finale - and I didn't feel sad about the ending, but was happy knowing the characters have wrapped up 10 good years together and are off to whatever new phase in their lives.
Frankly I don't know why there are so many detractors to the show - if you hate, why both voting for it - 50+ million people watched the finale so obviously comparing it to a show like Two and a Half Men is just an insult. Like it or not, this show will live on in syndication for years to come.

Summary: Bittersweet GoodBye!!!
Review: I watched the series Finale last night and will be ordering the DVD today. I have been watching Friends for the past ten years and the finale was a nice way to say goodbye, sad sweet and funny. for those of you who wrote negative reviews before you even saw it....get a life, better yet, get some friends!

Summary: Saw finale last night
Review: I enjoyed the finale. The best thing about it was the "inside jokes" (which kind of made you feel like a 7th Friend)for loyal viewers. They would say things that made you recall an earlier episode, and those were very funny moments. Was it earth shattering? No, but it was satisfying to see the ending you wanted. I loved the baby surprise for Monica and Chandler!!! And the ending for Ross and Rachel was very sweet ("break" joke aside, although that was one of those inside jokes). I'll probably buy the DVD because I want to see the alternate endings that were taped - I'm assuming and hoping they'll be on there. That's all I've got to say, except I must take exception to the reviewer who said the "Cheers" finale was bad. It was understated and satisfying, and wonderful. No one episode of a series is the end-all-be-all. It's a combination of all the episodes that makes it great. How can you top an amazing 10-year run of Friends (or any show) with one final episode? You can't. (You can't ruin it either - the Seinfeld finale blows but we all still love the show in general.) It's just the last piece of a puzzle, that I love. I'll miss you, Friends! 'Nuff said.
