Summary: so no one told you life was gonna be this way...
Review: i got introduced to friends through the dvd box sets, and it's been a pleasure to watch them in order, with the full episode included, uncut. certain lines or parts of scenes are cut out on tv, so if you're a die-hard fan, having the episodes on dvd can be preferable.

i'm liking the third season better than second right now, but that's only a personal preference. there are some classic episodes included on this set - lots of ross and rachel, joey's first big role as drake ramoray on days of our lives, joey moving out of the apartment with chandler, and monica's relationship with an older man, richard. being that chandler and phoebe are my favorite characters, i missed their involvement a bit, but they got subplots.

highlights: ross and rachel 'you-knowing' in the planetarium part of the museum where ross works, phoebe's "smelly cat", ross making a list about rachel, monica's character developing as she grows closer to richard, chandler finding an internet girl who turns out to be janice, all the tension between ross rachel and julie, etc.

lowlights: something about the episodes where eddie moved in seemed less well written and a little tedious. maybe it was just the fact that i was sick when I was watching them. *g* the fact that there are no chapters in episodes themselves, as others have mentioned, is a drawback. should have commentary from the six main character actors themselves; other shows do! deleted scenes would be nice; some of the special features seem useless, like showing a short clip of each guest actor when if you just watch the episodes, you have the whole thing. being able to check out monica and rachel's apartment in detail was kind of cool, though. and the quiz game was fun. if you get it wrong, it shows a clip of one of the characters shouting "no!", which i thought was incredibly clever and funny.

that's all i can think of off the top of my head; i'm at work and can't check the dvds for specifics. :)

Summary: The Second Feast Of Friends
Review: After a phenomenal debut season like Friends, most shows coast on it's success and start to slip in quality. But Friends would only get better with each successive season.
Changes were in the air for the group.Joey joined the cast of Days Of Our Lives as the ill fated Dr.Drake Ramoray,we meet Phoebe's ex husband (Steve Zahn),Chandler gets a new roommate(Adam Goldberg)who turns out to be a psycho, and Monica falls in love with her dad's best friend Dr. Richard Burke(Tom Selleck). The seasons driving force is the beginning of the on/off again relationship between Rachel and Ross.
Many classic episodes came from this season including The One where Heckles Dies,...the Baby on the Bus,...where Ross Finds Out,...the List,...where Ross and Rachel ... You Know,...where Dr. Ramoray Dies and ...Two Parties.
But also from season two was The One With The Prom Video, considered the greatest Friends episode ever. Not only are we treated to a plot involving a hidious bracelet Joey gives to Chandler, but an old video of Rachel and Monica's prom.Giving a glimpse into to past at an overwieght Monica,a pre-nose job Rachel, and an extremely dorky Ross("Looking Good Mr. Kotter). The most surprising moment is after viewing the video and Rachel seeing how much Ross really loved her,she finally kisses him(his Lobster) one of those special moments why Friends beloved by it's many fans.

Summary: everyone's favorite multi-cultural gang!!!
Review: Friends is so Great!! It shows you how people from culturally diverse backgrounds can get along and live together, not like most tv shows where they'd have you believe everyone in the world (let alone big cities like New York) is white. Also I like it when the Friends go to events, concerts, new restaurants, ethnic festivals, etc., and really explore the city and world around them. Not like most shows where the main characters just sit around the same place and talk. How boring, right!?

Friends is truly an enlightening revelation in the tv world!!!

So get Friends Season Whatever on dvd now!!!

Summary: Must have for Friends fans
Review: The Friends DVD set have been a true gift for me. With the busy schedule I keep I can only catch the reruns a couple days a week so it feels like I am skipping all over the place trying to watch the continuing story lines. With the complete seasons that problem is fixed, on the nights I am home I watch 2 or 3 episodes in order and can watch them in the order they were meant to be seen. These DVDs also give you a couple of extra minutes per episode, and since most episodes are cut even more for syndication you are actually getting 4 or 5 minutes more footage per episode than you would see watching the reruns. Season two was the defining moment for this series, all of the big events happen during this year, capped by the Ross and Rachel relationship. If you are a friends fan this is a must have.

Summary: Friends' Best Season!
Review: Friends- The Complete Second Season is packed full of extra features, like an interactive tour of Rachel and Monica's gorgeous apartment (now Monica and Chandler's place), a trivia challenge game to find out how much you know about Friends and much more!

Personally, I consider this to be Friends' best season for two reasons. The first one being the great episodes showcasing the beginning of Ross and Rachel's relationship ("The One Where Ross Finds Out," "The One With the List," "The One With the Prom Video" and "The One Where Ross and Rachel...You Know") and secondly, the hilarious Chandler and Joey moments during the time when Joey's moving out ("The One Where Joey Moves Out," "The One Where Eddie Moves In" and "The One Where Dr. Ramoray Dies"). This is a must have for any Friends fan!

Just so you know what episodes you'll be getting in this collection, here's a complete list:

1. "The One With Ross' New Girlfriend"- Rachel is mad when Ross brings home his new girlfriend, Julie. Phoebe chops off Monica's hair.

2. "The One With the Breast Milk"- When Rachel discovers that Monica has been spending a lot of time with Julie, she's jealous. Ross is shocked when Phoebe tastes Carol's breast milk before she gives it to baby Ben.

3. "The One Where Heckles Dies"- The cranky upstairs neighbor, Mr. Heckles dies and leaves Monica and Rachel his belongings in his apartment.

4. "The One With Phoebe's Husband"- The gang finds out about Phoebe's secret- she married her gay Canadian friend so he could get a green card. Rachel tries to keep Ross and Julie apart.

5. "The One With Five Steaks, An Eggplant"- Monica gets fired for accepting free steaks from the meat vendor at work.

6. "The One With the Baby on the Bus"- Joey and Chandler babysit Ben for the day, only to leave him on the city bus.

7. "The One Where Ross Finds Out"- Rachel leaves a drunken message on Ross' answering machine saying she's over him, which confuses Ross because he didn't know she knew about his feelings for her.

8. "The One With the List"- Ross makes a pros and cons list about Rachel and Julie, hoping it will help him decide which girl to be with. Wouldn't you know Rachel finds the list?

9. "The One With Phoebe's Dad"- Phoebe learns that all of the stuff she's been told about her father isn't true, so she asks Chandler and Joey to help her find him.

10. "The One With Russ"- Rachel's the only one that doesn't realize her boyfriend, Russ (David Schwimmer under a wig and makeup), looks just like Ross.

11. "The One With the Lesbian Wedding"- Ross' ex-wife, Carol and her partner, Susan decide to get married. Phoebe thinks she's possessed by an 82-year-old lady who died on her massage table.

12. "The One After the Super Bowl" Joey dates a crazed fan of his who thinks he's really Dr. Drake Ramoray, the character he plays on Days of Our Lives. The gang visits Marcel on the set of his movie.

13. "The One With the Prom Video"- Monica's parents bring her a box of her stuff from when she was in high school, which includes a tape of Monica and Rachel getting ready for the prom. Joey gets Chandler a best bud bracelet that he hates.

14. "The One Where Ross and Rachel...You Know"- Monica falls for Dr. Richard Burke (Tom Selleck). Ross and Rachel go on their first date.

15. "The One Where Joey Moves Out"- Joey moves out of the apartment he shares with Chandler after a co-star on Days of Our Lives offers him a bigger and better place.

16. "The One Where Eddie Moves In"- Monica's going crazy since Ross is spending so much time over at her apartment now that he's dating Rachel. Chandler gets a new roommate.

17. "The One Where Dr. Ramoray Dies"- Joey tells Soap Opera Digest that he writes his own lines on Days of Our Lives, which is a lie, so the writers kill off his character. Chandler discovers Eddie's psycho side.

18. "The One Where Eddie Won't Go"- Joey deals with being unemployed and he finally moves back in with Chandler.

19. "The One Where Old Yeller Dies"- Phoebe decides to watch all of the sad movies her mom shielded her from when she was a kid. Rachel freaks out when Ross tells her his plans for their future.

20. "The One With the Bullies"- Monica gets a job at a 1950s theme diner. Two mean guys won't give up the sofa they're sitting on at Central Perk to Chandler and Ross.

21. "The One With the Two Parties"- Monica has to throw Rachel two birthday parties to keep her divorcing parents apart.

22. "The One With the Chicken Pox"- Phoebe's Navy officer boyfriend returns, but her plans for a romantic time are dashed when they both get chicken pox.

23. "The One With Barry & Mindy's Wedding"- Rachel is maid of honor at her ex-fiance and ex-best friend's wedding. Chandler's online love interest turns out to be somebody from his past.

Summary: ...and that my friend is what they call CLOSURE
Review: People can say whatever they want about Friends, but it will always be one of the best sitcoms and this will always be one of the best seasons. Most of the big storylines in this season are about ross and rachel, of course, but this was before the storyline got dragged out into a big dramatic soap opera. The prom video episode alone gives the season 5 Stars in my book [esp. pheeb's lobster comparison!]. But the other characters are still hilarious; Monica's relationship with her father's friend brings laughs, Joey's Days of our Lives stint, meeting Phoebe's husband and learning about the Old Yeller incident, and Chandler being Chandler. GREAT!

Summary: Simply Perfect
Review: This second season of Friends held all the promise the first year showed, and then some. Several classic episodes are included in this set including the surreal TOW The Prom Video, TOW Eddie Won't Go, TOW the List, and the TOW Ross Finds Out. I could not recommed this set any more, just watch it and see what I am talking about.

Summary: "Oh, the cow in the meadow goes moo..."
Review: The FRIENDS have done it again! They're back in Season Two with even more surprises!!! The season starts off with "The One With Ross' New Girlfriend", which sadly, isn't Rachel. It picks up as in last season, where Rachel was going to the airport to meet Ross after his trip from China, to tell him of her feelings, which was something ROSS shouldda done LAST season!
Anyway, Ross comes home with Julie, an old college friend in charge of the dinosaur dig in China, which leaves Rachel in a pissed-off-awe.
In season two, more deep secerts are revealed on Ross and Rachel's past, we find out Phoebe has a husband, perfect Monica gets fired from her job, Joey drinks breast milk, Chandler gets a new roomie, and many more other events occur in The Compete Second Season of Friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: I LOVE FRIENDS
