Summary: "Sex and the City-The Complete Third Season"
Review: The third season is a bit of a disappointment because it was too serious and too much of just Carrie instead of Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte. Out of all of the videocasettes, the last one was the best, a worthy equivalent to the last videocasettes of the first and second seasons. Carrie's affair with Big was something that everyone knew was going to happen but how Big reactted to their affair made him look a little nasty. Natasha could've been more forgiving instead of being mean when Carrie came to apologize for having an affair with Big. Yes, it's understandable that ninety percent of the world is made up of people who don't forgive or forget but if the writers had allow Carrie a true victory over Natasha, Natasha should've forgiven her. Samantha was hilarious as usual but Miranda and Steve's sad relationship was horrible. Charlotte and Trey's relationship was understandable but it lacked chemistry. Although I've seen part of season four, season four looks much better than season three. At least whatever was missing in season three was made up for in season four. Carrie's questions in season three are now trying to scratch the surface of relationships and as ever, they're mindboggling and the questions that everyone in a relationship should ask their partners. The show should have some episodes done in London so its viewers can see the difference between American relationships and British ones. A cross-cultural thing would be ideal just as a cross-coastal one was in season three. Although a little lacking, season three packs a punch and wry humor. Enjoy the show!

Summary: Taped each episode last year but bought the set anyway!
Review: Who cares if it was on HBO a million times? You will kick yourself for not getting it years later. I have all three sets out to date and will pre-buy the fourth season when it comes out. And I hope that it will come out.

I remember waiting for the series when it first started years ago. I had read Candace Bushnell's novel when it was still fairly obscure but never dreamed the series would be as entertaining as it is. This series will always serve as memories of my youth which I like to think I'm still in! When I have grandchildren in the year 2030, I will lovingly pass the first, second, third and the series to follow, down to them to remind them that 'Granny' used to be hip!

Summary: Good to watch
Review: I'm a guy and I can't front, the only reason I started to watch this show was for any nude scene that Kim Cattrall (Samantha) was in. But as I continued to watch it, I found that the show was funny and interesting to watch. I agree with the other reviews that this season is the better of the three because it lets us view Samantha's dealings with a man she actually loves, and Miranda's dealings with her pregnancy. Yes, there's plenty of male-bashing present, but it's not like the four women are flawless, either. See the show for yourself to understand.

Summary: Sex and the City -- A Show that Women can Relate to
Review: Whether you are married or not, you can relate to almost every character in this fabulous show, from Carrie and her obsession with Mr. Big and of course designer shoes to Charlotte and the need to do the traditional thing i.e. get married, have a baby, never curse. I first started watching this show about two years ago but I hadn't seen all the episodes so I was lost once I got the first and second series I was hooked. I can't wait for season four. Personally, I think this is Sarah Jessica Parker's best work to date. For any WOMAN this is a must have DVD that and well of course FRIENDS.....

Summary: Fun in NYC
Review: I have to admit that my wife likes this much more than I do. For her, it's an ongoing reminder of New York City life that we both love. We live in Munich, Germany, so we are seeing these episodes for the first time. This continuation series seems to be sillier than the 1st two seasons, and the sexual graphics are far more in-your-face than in the previous two versions. Probably not something for your 12-year old babysitter to be watching just yet. However, we find the discussions, humor and themes to be excellent adult entertainment with a unapologetic no-holds-barred attitude, which we find far more refreshing than general American TV fare. The shots of NYC buildings, parks and streets really add to the stories, and the quality of the DVD (both sound and picture) is excellent.

But for the life of me, I just can't understand at all what Big sees in Carrie. But then again, Big is no great catch either, I suppose. Ah, well.

Summary: One more comment...
Review: I think that the best part of Sex and The City is that the essence and depth of the characters is not spoon-fed to you, like some many other tv shows; you have to think outside the box to get it. That is refreshing; the writers assume we are intelligent beings and not just looking for mindless entertainment. I wish they would make a movie like this. Also, this third season DVD is the first one to include some audio commentary, which is an added bonus. If SJP becoming executive producer is why the show has taken a more dramatic turn, then I'm all for her! Now that the characters are established, they can do that kind of experimenting, and it works. All four girls have interesting story lines, not just Carrie. (Samantha gets her turn in the fourth season).

Summary: What is she wearing????
Review: The 3rd season is not as funny as the other ones.
But Carry's outfits are worth watching....and I thought it couldn't get any worth...but it does! :)
