Review: I bought this movie because it was said to be in the same league as "Breakfast Club" and others. Oh boy what a disappointment. I have never seen it before, so I can't say if the soundtrack was stolen, but the humor of the story was quite often forced. Yes I had to laugh at times, but movies like "Breakfast Club" or even "10 things I hate about you" are by far better. Three stars because it was not completely thumbs down, but definitely nothing to write home about.

Review: Being a fan of 80"s movies , i must say this is one of my favorites!! Molly Ringwald is the 80"s teen queen, and the dvd is good, although i wish it had extra features on it such as trailers, interviews with cast,etc.Overall, it is a feel good movie!!!! go buy it ,you won"t regret it!!!!!

Summary: What happened to the soundtrack?!!
Review: This is one of my all time favorite movies, and I bought this video because my old copy had worn out. After watching 10 minutes of the new copy, I felt physically ill. The entire soundtrack's been changed! No "Love of the Common People", no "Happy Birthday". I couldn't watch any further. Some moron has butchered this film, and I'd return this copy if I could. If you've never seen the original version of this film then go ahead and buy it because the actual film is great and you won't notice the difference in the music. But to anyone who has seen it before, find an original copy. Watching this version will make you sick.

Summary: A John Hughes's classic!
Review: "Sixteen Candles" is one onf my all-time favorite movies. Mr.Hughes's captures teenage angst in one of the funniest,light-hearted, and cleverest ways imaginable. I too remember the feeling of standing at the sidelines of a school dance, watching the boy you desire dancing with another to the music of Spandau Ballet. I remember how it was to be a teenager and believe that no one could possibly understand what you are feeling.Molly Ringwald is the 80s' sweetheart. Her performance of Samantha Baker is a delight. Anthony Michael Hall is an adorable "Farmer Ted". And just about every girl I know comments on how hot Jake Ryan was and how there were never any guys at their school like him! Mr.Hughes has an incredible eye for detail and I consider him to be a film making genius. "Sixteen Candles" is must-have for everyone's video collection, a comedy classic.

Review: Ok ppl....if u have never seen this see it soon!! I will admit that I am young but I LOVE this movie!! AMH and Molly Ringwald did a GREAT job...I love all of the songs on the soundtrack. It describes some of the stuff that goes on in and around my high school today. So if you haven't seen it your missing a great laugh!!

Review: Although this is one of my favorites from the '80's, I've seen it so many times, I can't get past the new soundtrack. Buy an older copy at a used video store if you want the authentic version. This is as bad as colorizing. Write MCA/Universal home video and tell them you want the original version.

Review: Out of all the brat pack movies, 16 Candles has got to have the best one-liners. Enough quotes to keep a game of movie trivia going solid for hours. It is a timeless movie that teenagers of today, as opposed to those 80's kids, can still relate to and find funny now, in the late 90's.
