Review: ... IT IS SO FUNNY. I LIKE COMEDYS AND THIS IS GREAT. PAULY SHORE AND SEAN ASTIN FIND A CAVEMAN AND THAW HIM OUT. CUT HIS HAIR AND TEACH HIM HOW TO BE COOL. THIS WAS HILARIOUS.

Review: ...and I love it with all my heart, hehe. I mean, I'd never tell anyone to go rent it cos it's such a splendid piece of film, but golly darn do I adore it! I love the slang (my friend's face scrunched up and she asked "is that English?". That pretty much sums it up...), the clothes, the really really weird plot. And americanos, don't worry about the movie insulting exchange students; us ignorant foreigners just laugh at the stupid yanks in return :P... So, don't expect quality. If you can't take Evil Dead (also category Lousy movie but love it love it love it), don't watch this one. *smoooch to Brendan and Pauly*

Summary: A brilliant what-if movie
Review: After watching "Caveman" ASIN: 6302658489, to see what life was really like way back then, it is time to speculate on what-if a cave dweller was thawed out in our time. We can not just chose anyone to portray a cave man in today's environment. So we pick an expert that already thinks this way, Brendan Fraser. To balance this we must also find someone to portray the serious scholar that observes and guides him through the intricacies of today's environment from driving to the Seven-Eleven; that person can only be Pauly Shore. Every serious scholar must have a protagonist to anchor the story, hence Sean Astin later to play "Kurt Vonnegut's Harrison Bergeron" (1995) ASIN: 6303801919
Will the displaced caveman adapt? Will he survive? Is the cheese old and moldy? And more to the point will you survive with out laughing to death?

Review: Every so often, a movie, nay, a film, transcends the genre to surpass all that has come before. Citizen Kane did it. The Godfather did it. Encino Man does it, and I think all who watch it will agree with me that it is the finest piece of storytelling EVER committed to film. We all owe a profound debt of gratitude to Sean Astin, Pauly Shore, Brendan Fraser, and let us not forget Michael Deluise and the other members of this stellar cast that make Encino Man true CINEMA CLASSIQUE!!

Review: How can I elaborate how funny this movie is?First off, for as funny as he is, this is Pauly Shore's BEST performance ever! Pauly Shore's one-liners will get laughs out of those who appreciate a good dialogue and script, whereas Brendan Fraser's slapstick comedy will make those of us who appreciate just the simple, funny stuff, very happy! In the end, we have a perfect blend of comedy's best two forms of laughter-creation! And may I add that this film offends no racial groups of cultures --- pretty amazing for a comedy as great at this one!

Summary: A real guilty pleasure
Review: I find it hard to put a movie down that gives you some real good laughs and this movie does have it's moments. It's so unfathomable in it's plot, but that's what makes it a good escapism movie. The three leads (ASTIN, SHORE AND FRASER) are all aptly cast in their roles. Fraser plays the caveman (a little too convincingly), Shore is always good as the [silly] side-kick (but man is he good at that) and Astin..well he is so [darn] cutein this movie, who cares about his acting. ;)
If you are looking for an intelligant and profound movie watching experience, don't rent/buy this. Stick to the classics. If you want 88 minutes of silliness and nonsense, you're in the right place.

Review: I think that this movie is one of the best movies ever made.. It had humor a good plot and even suspence (not a lot, but it was not a suspence movie). I think that if u go to see a movie with Pauly Shore u need to expect certain things. People who say that the film has plot errors or problems in the idea of the whole movie never should have tried to enjoy a great movie like this one. When u go to see a comedy movie you should concentrate less on a plot and more on having a good time enjoying the movie. The acting in the movie was great in my opinion. I would highly recommend any movie with Pauly Shore. I loved this movie...if u are incapable of having a good time u won't.. Badd
