Summary: Better than I expected.
Review: I went w/some friends 2 go see this movie when it was in theaters & I had thought it looked ok, but it turned out a lot better than I had expected. And also, I found out that Britney CAN act. And as 4 what 1 reviewer said, "that she just played herself"... she didn't. She played Lucy.

Newayz... I would reccomend this movie. It wasn't bad. In fact, it was pretty good!!

Summary: Barbie Doll in the movie
Review: Britney looks more like a Barbie Doll in the movie.. pretty, pretty and pretty still. And that's about all you are getting from the movie. It is rather obvious that this movie is meant for all her fans who strongly believe in everything she does. The movie has such a poor storyline that nothing else makes the movie more interesting than keeping one wondering what a lower budget this movie is all about. Britney is so talented in the movie that she can sing out the whole song/music before she has a chance to finish listening to what that guy has composed the tune for her using her written poems... utterly unconvincing.

I like Britney... but I have to confess that this is really a turkey movie with no talent acting and poor storyline in it. Go for her 'Live from Las Vegas', which is much more entertaining than this.. this is what she does best!

Summary: It was actually pretty good.
Review: Sure this has to be one of the most predictable movies made in a long time but they played to the strengths of the star. Britney's character and her two friends go on a road trip to solve the problems facing them as they leave college. Before you know it, surprise, surprise, they end up with no money and have to enter a kareoke contest. Guess who turns out to be a pretty decent singer and wins the crowd over? As the trip progresses the girls learn more about themselves and the world they face and, yes, there is more singing.
For a first time outing this really wasn't bad. In fact, it was relatively entertaining and shows that Britney has more potential than many other pop stars who try to hit the big screen. I do stress though, don't see this if you are looking for something in depth. However, if you are looking for fluff to pass the time away, this delivers and is fun to watch.

Summary: WHAT MORE DO I HAVE TO SAY?
Review: I'm so glad that people have enough sense to see how [bad] this is.Britney Spears can't sing so what made her think that she can act! This movie is a joke.Bad acting.Corny, predictible,
laughable script.Bad direction.Bad singing.Bad everything. But what do you expect this is Britney Spears!! And as we all know anything involving Britney Spears is surely going to tacky, corny, dumb, and forgettable.Great campy movie next to "Glitter".

Summary: Bubble Gum Fare
Review: My 12-year-old loved this movie even though there was a lot of mature subject matter--a teen pregnancy after a date rape, losing one's virginity on prom night, having sex with someone you knew less than a week. Maybe all that taboo material was part of the appeal. If you plan to buy the movie, get the DVD with the extra features rather than the VHS version. My daughter loved the pop-up Britney commentary throughout the movie, the karaoke music videos, the instructional segment on how to make the trashy, torso-bearing sequined t-shirts, etc. Britney can act too and she picked a good supporting cast--Dan Ackroyd, Zoe Saldana (the Hispanic ballerina from "Center Stage), the newcomer beefcake who plays her boyfriend, etc.

Summary: Britney Spear's Movie Debut
Review: Wow! I never really thought that Britney Spears would be able to act. She was so believable. The movie was not as teeny-bopper as I thought it would be. And the movie did not have the predictable ending that so many teen movies do. Rape, pregnancy, and under-age drinking are just some of the topics dealt with.
Lucy, Kit and Mimi, a group of girlfriends were childhood friends until high school came and they grew apart. As children they promised they would meet at graduation and dig up a hope chest they buried. Although they had grown up, to no avail, they all show up to the box they buried on graduation night. All with different reasons for going, the three girls set off on a roadtrip together. Lucy (Spears) is setting out to find her mother, Kit is running away from home, and Mimi is off to find her fiancee.
I do not want to give out the ending but I do know you will be surprised. Even if you do not like Britney Spears as a singer, you'll laugh when she does, cry when she cries and feel happy when she does. A feel good movie with twists and turns that surprise.

Summary: Britney Sure Can Act!
Review: I recently purchased this DVD after reading some good reviews, and although I was skeptical at first, this movie proved me wrong. I thought about what a Britney Spears movie would be like, and I imagined an irrevelant plot with poor acting. Nothing against the pop diva, it's just that I've never imagined her acting before. Anyway, after viewing this movie, I was floored! Britney's performance was amazing! She is truly an actress, making it seem as if she wasn't acting at all! You can really tell good actors from bad ones when you witness one of their cyrying scenes. A crying scene needs to look honest and real for it to be believable. Britney has two crying scenes in this movie. The second of which, after finding out what her mother truly thinks of her, is fabulous. She is 100% believable and accurate. You can see into her soul for a moment, and the scene alone stands apart from the rest of the movie. Watch Britney break down in tears as she says, "and that I was just a mistake". I could watch that over and over again!

It really is Britney as you've never seen her before. Look forward to seeing this mega star in many movies to come, because obviously she has another talent........ acting.

Great story, great acting, real emotions, and an important message to teens. It all adds up to a really great movie!
Watch it if you haven't seen it yet!

Summary: one of the worst movies i have ever seen
Review: this movie is BAD!!!!!!!!!! because it is unrealsitic and britney cannot act maddona is a better actress than she is. This movie is not apporiate for her younger fans at all because it deals with sex, miscarriage, and drinking. Also it is such a take off of the movie boys on the side. I laughed though the whole movie and the part i laughed sooo hard at was her poem . I'm sure britney fans will enjoy it but if you Hate Britney like i do i would'nt recommend it at all but if you want to make fun of her than i would suggest seeing it.

Summary: LOVED IT!
Review: I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard about this movie for the first time. I really wasn't. I was very, very surprised. Ok, so it's only a teen movie...but it's a really GOOD teen movie!!! I'm not sure why or how this film touched me so much, but it truly did. Britney Spears shows some great acting promise, and she is well supported by Zoe Saldana and Taryn Manning. The girls play three childhood friends who reach their high school graduation, hardly on speaking terms. They think they've grown apart, but as they embark on a road trip together, they realize that their friendship never died--they just walked away from it.

You probably don't expect a movie with much depth if it's Britney Spears. Well, let me tell you--when you watch this, you can expect a deep, touching story with a certain degree of realness that I haven't seen in any other movie in my life. Yes, this movie is very real and convincing; every issue presented in here is one that you can either relate to or at least appreciate and understand.

I was impressed with Britney's acting. I must admit that I thought this movie would be horrible. But now I regard it as one of my favorites. Spears has the ability to act, and I was convinced of this when I saw her crying scene with Ben (Anson Mount) in the bathroom. I choke up every time I watch this part--it's so REAL, and if it doesn't touch you in some way, I'd be surprised. After seeing this scene, I knew that she was an actress.

You'll love it or you'll hate it. I love it. It has touched me in a way that no other teen movie ever has. There's something about it that really gets me every time. Must be the realness....

Summary: A Realistic Story About Friendship
Review: First of all, let me say that I completely love Britney Spears and I think she's amazing, but after seeing this film I can say I've honestly seen a side to her that you will never see until you watch this movie. This girl really does have ALOT of talent. Put aside every notion you've ever had of Britney and give this film a chance. It's a touching story about friendship and I don't know anyone who couldn't identify with the movie or it's characters at some point. Britney plays Lucy, an over achieving graduate who secretly aspires to become a singer even though her over bearing father expects her to be a doctor and stay in school. She decides to pursue one of her dreams which is to find her birth mother and plans a road trip with two girls, Kit and Mimi whom she used to be friends with when she was a child, but later had gone their seperate ways in high school. Kit is the snobby, pretentious, self centered one who's insecure at heart and Mimi is the eccentric, naive, pregnant one who doesn't think before she acts upon her crazy ideas. Case in point where she gets her friend Ben a supposed KILLER (!!) to drive them across the country. Along the way are some good times, some bad times, alot of heartache, disappointment and growing up. This movie is alot more touching and effective than it has been given credit for. Britney is great as the blossoming and maturing-before-our-eyes Lucy who's at a crossroads in her life trying to decide what is right for her. Mimi and Kit also add alot of heart and drama to the story going further into detail about Mimi's baby and Kit's insecurities. Don't be surprised if you shed a few tears during this movie and are rooting for Lucy, Mimi, Kit and Ben at the end of the film. Overall a really great movie with great acting, a beautiful and inspiring story/script, a wide variety of characters that anyone can relate to and some fun music. More of an inspiring drama with adult themes than a comedy (which is what the trailer makes the movie out to be), I wouldn't recommend letting anyone under the age of 13 watch this, but for everyone else I urge you to give this movie a chance because you'll be glad you went along for the ride and come out feeling like you made a whole new group of friends.
