Rating: Summary: dream a little dream Review: I would just like to say that i just seen this movie on cable and it brought back good 80's memories.Dream A Little Dream was a decent movie but the one who really caught my eye and kept me glued to the tube [back then and now] was cutie pie Meredith Salenger who played the girl that the best friend wanted. Not worth buying but if your into 80's movies then rent this one for the fun of it.Enjoy
Rating: Summary: Classic 80's Cheese Review: If you are looking for a trip back to the days of the dynamic duo Corey Haim and Corey Feldman (License to Drive, Nat'l Lampoon's Last Resort), this film is for you. It is a perfect blend of high-school drama and obvious symbolism that makes this movie an 80's classic. Think "teenage-drama meets transcendental meditation" - what more could you ask for??
Rating: Summary: Metaphysical twist on classic theme Review: Jason Robards is obsessed with transcendental meditation and is constantly trying to get his wife to experiment with him. They live in a classic turn of the century style house near the school - so near in fact that he keeps threatening the school kids who keep cutting through his garden - notably Corey Feldman and Corey Haim. Just as he finally cajoles his wife one night into experimenting with the meditations with him out in the garden, Feldman and his girlfriend, or rather the girl he would like to be his girlfriend, ride through on their bikes colliding with the couple and with metaphysics. Several improvements are made on the classic "Freaky Friday" theme. For thing, Feldman and Robards are adversaries. For another, it is not just Robards and Feldman that make the switch. His wife has too but she doesn't realize it. She, as Feldman's young girlfriend, doesn't understand why she can't remember her locker combination or dance routines. As Robards, with help from Haim's character, tries to adjust to life as a high schooler in the days of mousse and Michael Jackson, he is haunted by cryptic dreams where Feldman - who seems to know more than he is letting on - warns him that he must make her realize who she is before it is too late and Robard's wife is lost forever.
Rating: Summary: Dream a little dream on dvd Review: Just to let you know Dream a Little Dream was released on dvd
Rating: Summary: something too wonderful to describe... Review: Never would I say that such a great collection of music has been put together and if you have just seen the movie then the music makes sense, I saw the movie recently and I immediately loved it and the music just was amazing. This soundtrack is in my opinion the best music ever made.
Rating: Summary: A very interesting and quirky movie - one of my favorites. Review: Okay first of all, it's NOT a body-swap movie. Despite what you have heard, no one "switches" bodies. Corey Feldman's character Bobby's mind is left in a limbo-like dream world while Jason Robard's character Coleman inhabits his teenage body.
A "switch" would imply the youngster gets the old man's body, and we are (thankfully) spared that.
"Dream a Little Dream" is one of the oddest movies ever made. The director, Marc Rocco, is a certified genius for his use of atmosphere, musical cues, and strange scene transitions. The foley work is impeccable, and the sound editing sets the mood perfectly. The score and soundtrack are first-rate.
There are many funny moments, some metaphysics, and a real message about being young at heart. Dreams and dream imagery are utilized to create an ethereal "feel" to the film's plot.
Corey and Corey are fantastic, their best performance together. "Dream a Little Dream" is the kind of movie not everyone has seen, but almost everyone will enjoy.
I was 16 when this film was released (1989), and have loved it ever since. I've seen it 30+ times and it has never left my personal top 5. Buy it, watch it, then come back and give your opinion. I'm willing to bet you will be pleasantly surprised.
Rating: Summary: Dinger lives / An 80's gem Review: One of my favorite films so defining of the 80's. A classic teen angst high school movie but with imagination. I think Corey Feldman & Corey Haim made a great team in this. This film makes you want to go back to the 80's as a teenager in high school, watching it nowadays. I completely related to Corey Haims character Dinger. Dinger and Bobby are best friends Bobby falls for Lainie the hottest girl in school and has to convince her that she loves him before the night's over but here's the story in an accident Bobby switches his body with the old man next store living life thru his eyes and vice versus. The same thing with Lainie and the old man's wife. A romantic comedy with a twist. Pay attention to the characters and their bond. A great film about friendship & relationships in high school. An essential to collection for anyone who grew up in 80's cinema. I own the DVD and the soundtrack is great too.

Rating: Summary: I Love This Soundtrack Review: This is a spectacular CD especially if you love fabulous eighties music. You know the kind I mean monster ballads and such.
Rating: Summary: don't overlook this one! Review: this is definitely a must-see. though haim is obviously smashed out of his mind, feldman puts on a great performance, and it's worth it just to see his silly michael jackson dance. sure, it probably embarrasses him now (with good reason), but this is quality entertainment! this is one of those movies that you always must catch when it's on tv, but it's so worth it to buy your own copy. robards is fantastic- he's an absolute gem. the style of this movie rocks, and the story is sweet. i highly recommend dishing out the dough. i hope to see this transfer to dvd soon.
