Summary: I FEEL SO PROUD TO SAY I HAVE SEEN THIS MOVIE
Review: I Saw this movie on TV last night and I was just amazed at how awsome this movie was, There were very funny parts and there were parts that reached out to you, each character was unique in there own way, I think this is a movie I won't forget.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: A very good movie but some parts are wierd and stupid
Review: This is a great movie but the problem is that these teenagers argue, argue, and argue. How can it be that the metalhead and the girl in the pink (not the wierd girl) be cussing the hell out of each other and not saying sorry and at the end, they start kissing, and the sporty guy (emilio estevest) be kissing that wierd girl. every body cussed each other but none of them got into a fight, if it was real life then they all would of got into a fight (a royal rumble probably) but all they did was argue, complain, and cussing. even the princable bullied the kids, and who ever says the girl in the pink is pretty, SHE IS NOT, her hair gets all messy and girls look ugly with short hair, the movie is a really good movie and is a worthy of watching but too much complaining and stuff.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: People sitting around and complaining.
Review: Here is the teen classic 'The Breakfast Club', where a group of young people sit around and complain during detention. If I remember correctly from high school, one is not supposed to talk during detention. Nevertheless, did I mention these characters sit around and complain? There is scene where loud rock music plays while the kids get high on pot. I hope the director wasn't sending some message like that's supposed to be cool. At least one good thing came out of this talk-fest; it was the song by Simple Minds. Thank God that song doesn't have any complaining in it.

Summary: Movie that captures realities of High School
Review: This movie gets 5 stars but the DVD gets 3. The color and sound could be better and it would be nice if they had extras. A movie this good deserves better.

I saw this movie after I was out of High School, and had just graduated from college. I found the characters to be stereotypical of my own personal experience which brings reality to the film. The dialog was perfect in this movie which makes it a pleasure to watch. The character types represented are the "Prom Queen", "The Studious Brain", "The Athlete", "The Stoner", and "The Recluse". When they all come together for a full day of detention on a Saturday, they are forced to interact with each other when they otherwise would have avoided each other under normal circumstances. Through this, they find they have alot more in common than they could have imagined. This movie is a fun way to look back at how the social world was back in school.

Even though this is a great movie, it isn't for children due to the language and portrayal of drug use,...

Summary: Newly discovered 'Brat Pack' Movies
Review: I watched this movie for the first time in a leadership class at school and thought,"WOW!" This movie is awesome. After seeing this movie I became more and more interested in 80's teen movies.(I barely turned 17). These movies arent as raunchy (but raunchy is good) and they are more believeable. I just hope that other of todays teens discover these movies and find out what they missed out on.

Summary: the breakfast club
Review: this movie is quite possibly the best ever high school-related film in history. reading a summary does this classic no justice. if you want to watch an awesome movie, this is the one you'll want. molly ringwald is the sexiest, most wonderful actress ever. uh..i mean...whatever. this movie rocks.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: My rating reflects ONLY the DVD packaging, NOT the movie
Review: I saw this movie when I was 11 and have loved it ever since; I didn't fully appreciate it until adulthood, when hindsight is 20/20 and everything in this movie is a "Been there, done that." The characters are true to the types of people you find at any American high school, and we've all adored/abhorred the prom queen, feared/embraced the criminal, etc. That said, I will vent about the DVD edition.

Did Universal forget that this is one of the most popular films of the 80s? Where are the goodies that seem to come standard with other films on DVD? Where's the interviews, behind-the-scenes trivia, edited scenes? This movie is 15 years old and still being played all over cable channels day in and day out, and its popularity hasn't waned a bit! I got my copy for Christmas and couldn't wait to get it into my DVD player, figuring the music would sound amazing and there would be plenty of extras. WRONG!

The sound is weak; I can't understand why Universal didn't repackage this with stereo sound. Because of the way this was shot, the movie retains a TV-look about it, but the images are clear and sharp. You'll still enjoy the movie, but if you were drooling over the DVD for the possibility of bonuses, you'll be sorry.

I'm so disappointed with the DVD release... I won't be surprised if, in 2005, a 20th anniversary edition happens along with all the fun stuff I'd hoped for. (And yes, I'd buy it!)

Wait for 2005.

Summary: ONE WORD: MASTERPIECE
Review: "The Breakfast Club" is one of the best films about High School ever. John Hughes was (at the time) at his prime when he filmed this classic '80s flick. He cast those characters very well. With Anthony Michael Hall as the "Brain", Emilo Estevez as the "Athlete", Ally Sheedy as a "basket case", Molly Ringwald as a "princess", and Judd Nelson as "criminal". I'm 18 now (born in 1982) and I still to this day never get sick of this movie. If they had the movie awards for MTV at that time in 1985, The film would win a dozen popcorns. The dreaded Paul Gleason plays a disaplian teacher who serves them a speical 8 hour long Saturday detention. The best character of this movie is John Bender (Judd Nelson), a working class school bully who (in beginning of the film) harasses everybody in the film including himself. He also has the best lines in the movie like, "Does Barry Manalow know you raid his wardrobe?", "I wanted to be just like you, All I need is labotmys and tights!", etc. Not only the best '80s flick ever, but one of the best movies ever on my list. "The Breakfast Club" does not dissapoint, mis-fire, overuse, and be cheap. It was great when it first came in out in 1985 and it's still great now in 2000. If you haven't seen this classic teen gem, buy this video, You'll never regret.

Note: Rumors been spreading that they'll remake "TBC" To John Hughes: Don't, just re-release the movie in five years for a 20th anniversary re-release. That'll at least gross $100 million dollars.

Summary: The best film ever
Review: This is my favourite film ever. I can't quite say why as there are too many reasons. I thought Judd Nelson was particularly great as was Emilio Estevez. However that is not to detract from the other great performances by Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, Anthony Michael Hall, John Kapelos and Paul Gleason. When I tell people that its about 5 students in detention they just look at me but its the journey we take with Alison, Andy, Bender, Brian and Claire that makes it so superb. If this teaches us anything its that people have problems no matter how blessed you think they are. I liked this whole era of films such as St Elmo's Fire, Pretty in Pink etc and while other viewers find it brings back memories of the 80's I am enjoying these films as a 90's viewer. If I had to summarise The Breakfast Club in three words it would be superb, brilliant and excellent. To anyone reading this who hasn't seen the film buy it now you won't regret it.

I also liked Vernon being analysed by Karl who tells him that he only took a teaching position cos he thought it would be easy. "Then you found that it was actually work and that really bummed you out" However my favourite line is too hard to choose as 10 or 11 spring to mind immediately. It is not an exageration to say I have watched it about 100 times and will never get sick of it.
