Rating: Summary: even if you already have the cd Review: I have listened to the cd by the same title many times, but it was really worth it to get the dvd. First, they are not the same performance. Some things (like "chicken of the sea" and "retsin") are on the cd but not the dvd. Other things are on the dvd but not the cd (the standing ovation bit). The lines and the readings of lines are just a bit different, so if you're sufficiently Seinfeld-involved, you will find that fascinating. The question and answer section is partly different too. Second, there is an opening short film on the dvd, and it's pretty funny, and of interest to "Godfather" fans too. Third, the facial and physical gestures add a whole dimension that you had to imagine on the cd (the bit about being first or second in a race is quite detailed). His facial expressions are really hilarious. Third, you can actually hear a member of the audience say "Jerry's a racist" after he does the "Amahl and the symbol for boron" bit. I never heard that on the cd! I give it 5 stars as the best it can be in this genre, standup performance comedy, not in comparison to feature films. I can't get enough Jerry. People who complain he's repeated his jokes... fine for you. For me, I listen to the cd over and over and am glad to have a slightly different version on dvd. I love trying to figure out why Jerry is so lovable when he's so misanthropic.
Rating: Summary: A hilarious viewing from one of the true masters Review: This is a hilarious film of Seinfeld's Broadway show. Great stand up comedy done by the second greatest stand-up comic of our time (the first being Robin Williams).
Rating: Summary: Two stars are too generous! Review: Yeah, Seinfeld is somewhat funny, but during the nine years of his sitcom, he failed to introduce black actors and/or comedians. New York surely has blacks, and his show did not represent the presents of blacks in New York.
Rating: Summary: Seinfeld Rules!!!!!!! Review: "I'm Telling you for the Last Time" is definitely hilarious. If you want something that will make you laugh constantly, buy this video. It is also available on CD. It is just as funny on CD. In any way shape or form, Jerry Seinfeld rules. On TV or not, Jerry Seinfeld is the man.I definitely recommend this video to anyone. Even if you do not like Seinfeld, I don't think that is possible, buy this video. It is the funniest stand-up routine you will ever see from one of the greatest comics of all time.
Rating: Summary: He's been using the same material for 6 years!!!! Review: seinfeld has been using the same material for 6 years now. how does he get away with it??? what is up with this guy. write some new stuff.. you untalented thick! that's right folks, just cashing in on the same old garbage. first the show, then the cd, now the video. what's next.. i'm gonna telll you for the last time.. again.
Rating: Summary: his all time best!! Review: Jerry's last performance on HBO was phenomenal, and overall summary of his 9yr sitcom, a comedic masterpiece!
Rating: Summary: HILARIOUS!!!! Review: Jerry Seinfeld's comedy is very subtle, not like Robin Willaims or Adam Sandler (both good, but no Seinfelds) which are loud and obnouix. He's very funny. He talks about every subject you can think of, and I don't understand reveiws saying his heart wasn't into it, because being comfortable on stage is a GOOD thing!!!!
Rating: Summary: Seinfeld at his best Review: Seinfeld live on Broadway is a "no regrets" DVD. Its a great looking performance that puts you in the best seat of the audience. Jerry dishes out over an hour of his best material delivered "for the last time" and it is hilarious even after repeat viewings. You can read some of the jokes on the back of the DVD, but it's Seinfeld's delivery that brings them to life and keeps the jokes fresh and funny. One of the great additions on this DVD that isn't on the tape is an impromptu audience Q & A with Jerry. The audience fires off a variety of what I thought were some pretty dull questions. "How's your new apartment?" "Say, Hello Newman." Jerry answers every one with responses that are as funny as the show material. The disc is not rated but it is funny and great for the whole family. My mom at 60 and my niece who is just eight love watching the VHS of this show again and again. The DVD is even better.
Rating: Summary: The King of Comedy Review: This CD (also available in DVD and VHS formats) is the recording of Seinfeld's finale that aired on HBO a few months after Seinfeld wound up. If you are a Seinfeld regular, you will recognize many of the jokes. But it is so much better hearing it in the context of his routine. I play it in my car on my way to work if I am in the mood for some laughs, and it never fails to deliver. Great CD that you can listen to over and over. I had the DVD for a while too, but there is only so many times you can watch the routine.
If you like Seinfeld, you might check out his movie "Comedian", a documentary about how he rebuilds his material after retiring all his material from this CD. It is quite entertaining - and the audio commentary from Seinfeld on the DVD may even be better than the movie itself.
Rating: Summary: Classic! a must-have for all seinfeld fans Review: this basically sums up all of the classic seinfeld jokes that are on most seinfeld episodes. jerry seinfeld is a hilarious genious that will make you laugh the whole way through.
