Summary: First movie I ever saw in the Theater as a kid
Review: A wonderfully entertaining Disney comedy. The antics you'll see will bring a smile to your face, and a chuckle to your heart. Tom Bosley and Tim Conway really add to the comedic troup in this movie. The supermarket scene is hysterical. Not a likely scenario in real life, but then again, this is Disney. Well worth the price you'll pay, and fun for the entire family.

Review: After watching the no talent Knotts acting like a jerk(once again), this movie should be named "GAS", because that what it gave me after this so-called junk. My ten year old can do better with a 8mm camera. END

Summary: no widescreen!
Review: Come on Disney, how do you take such a great movie and dump it like a piece of Junk. The lack of widescreen or quality sound is really sad for a company that makes more money than any other at re-releasing it's old material.
Also no extras? Not even some outakes, gallery stuff, theatrical trailers, cartoons. I refuse to buy any of the new disney DVD if they are not in widescreen, and tons of people I know from disney clubs and message boards feel the same way.

Summary: Don Knotts and a Mule... you can't go wrong!
Review: Gus is a Yugoslavian mule with a real talent: He can kick soccer balls 100 yards with unerring accuracy. When Hank Cooper (Edward Asner), the financially flailing owner of a losing football team, gets wind of Gus's talent from a newspaper article, he envisions a halftime show that might draw crowds (and hence, make money). This also presents an opportunity for bigger and better things to Gus's shy young owner, Andy Petrovic (Gary Grimes). As soon as Gus's hooves touch U.S. soil he starts performing like a champ, kicking the ball at halftime shows with panache time and time again. Before long, thieves plot and carry out the kidnapping of the gifted mule, planning to hide him until after the big game in hopes his team will lose without him. This movie is flawed (mainly in its lack of production value) but it's well worth a look, especially for fans of mules and lover of silly Disney comedy.

RUN TO YOUR LOCAL DISNEY VIDEO RETAILER OR RENTAL AGENCY AND DEMAND THAT GUS BE ISSUED AS A SPECIAL EDITION DVD. THERE ARE OVER 3 HOURS OF AMAZING OUT-TAKES FROM THIS MOVIE (SOME FEATURING DUSTIN HOFFMAN WITH A PRE-ROCKY SYLVESTER STALLONE!!) THAT SHOULD BE FINALLY MADE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC (OR AT LEAST THOSE NOT WILLING TO PART WITH HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS PURCHASING THIS RARE FOOTAGE ON E-BAY).

Review: How could you not like this movie haveing Don Knotts and Tim Conway in it? They are to funny and I love all there movies! Gus is a cute movie for the whole family. Its hard for me to find movies that the whole family can enjoy together. But this one is a good one, five stars!=)
