Rating: Summary: It's really good! Review: I think that this video is good for kids that play sports (baseball.) In fact it's one of my favorite movies. I think that kids will like it better. It's about a kid that has a magic arm so he goas to the natoinal league, and pitches. He has to learn how to do things, and after that he does a good job pitching.
Rating: Summary: A child becomes the newest Chicago Cub in Rookie of the Year Review: Is there anyway to seprate children from baseball? Henry Rowengartner (Thomas Ivan Nicholas) is a little leaguer. His team is the pirates. But Henry is not so good at baseball. So the day after a game, a big boy hits a ball to him and Henry runs after it. Not knowing there is a another ball on the grass, Henry trips on it and brakes his arm.Henry is taken to a doctor and is ordered to be in a cast on his broken arm until the last month of summer. So on the day his cast gets taken off, his mom gives Henry and his friends George and Clark (Patrick La Brecque, Robert Gorman) tickets to Chicago Cubs game. The Cubs pitcher is Chet Steadman (Gary Busey, The Buddy Holly Story). After a ball is hit to the bleachers, the rules that the people in the bleachers can't have the ball hit by eather the Cubs or the visiting team. So Henry throws it back. And finds his arm is now a 100 miles an hour arm. He throws all the way to home plate and wakes up the Chicago Cubs' last season owner Bob Cason (Eddie Bracken), the future owner named Larry "Fish" Fisher (Dan Hedaya) and the Chicago Cubs manger (Albert Hall). Larry orders the arm of Henry brought to him. But one some other males in the bleachers starting yelling at him, Henry leaves. And Lary only gets Henry's first name and nobody in the bleachers knows his last name. So Larry orders people to find Henry. His mom's boy friend (Bruce Altman) becomes his manger. The Chicago Cubs's pitching coach is Brickma (Daniel Stern). Mr. Stern aslo directed this movie. I don't know about you, but who was directing this movie when Daniel Stern was acting on the set, or it was Stern directing the movie even when he was on the set acting?
Rating: Summary: DVD of The YEAR! M. W. Guess is STUPENDOUS!! Review: Not only is this one of the best baseball films around, BUT it is notable for launching the cinematic career of that celebrated ladies man GuessWho! He appears at the approximately 00:44:58 mark, and those three seconds are what we in Hollywood like to call "Cine-MAGIC". Wow. Sadly, he is no longer sporting his coke bottle glasses, and his tradmark mullet is obscured from view, but even so, he is Grr! Baby! VERY GRR.

Rating: Summary: Weird and good Review: Rookie of the year in my opinion is kind've strange because it's not well writen nor is it realistic but for some reason every time it's on t.v I watch. Rookie of the year isn't the kind've movie you learn more and more about every time you watch like the Godfather 2 or 1. If your watching this movie for the first time you know what's going to happen because it's a kids movie and the movie makes it obvious. Special effects in rookie of the year isnt to good because the players batting, baserunning, and especially the players fielding (are bad) at baseball which bring a extremely un-realistic part of this movie. It's really about a kid and two friends and the kid(Henry) break his arm and can pitch in the majors even though before that in little leauge he (was also bad). But what makes you want to watch it more is the comedy. The comedy isnt the greatest but when the give a funny line such as the most famous one which is(Hot ice). This is short but I hoped it helped you in your decision in buying this game. P.S I also have reviews on the first blitz, Madden 2001, day trader, season ticket, and roll of thunder hear my cry. (...)is so far my best review them day trader, Madden, blitz, this, and roll of thunder hear my cry. These are in order of best to worst. Thank you and have a nice day.
Rating: Summary: Great baseball movie! Review: Rookie of the Year is a great baseball movie. It is about a boy named Henry who's dream is to play in one of his own teams games(Pirates). At the game a kid gets an alergy attack and Henry gets to play. Henry breaks his arm and has a special ability to pitch fast. The Chicago Cubs sign Henry, and he becomes the youngest player in baseball player(at12). But it's all to good to be true!
Rating: Summary: This movie is actually pretty good. Review: Rookie of the Year is actually a pretty good movie and even though it might seem like one og those stupid Disney non-cartoon movies it is a pretty funny movie. This movie is about a boy (Thomas Ian Nicholas) who loves to play baseball but is horrible until he brakes his arm and is able to snap is arm forward so he can throw a baseball 100MPH and then get's an offer to play for his favorite team, the last place Cubs and he becomes a big help to the team. There is also love in this movie but it is mostly a kids and grown-up comedy.I'd say if you like baseball see Rookie of the Year or if you like comedys see Rookie of the year.I'm shoor you'll like this movie.

Rating: Summary: ROOKIE OF THE YEAR Review: ROOKIE OF THE YEAR is definitely one of the best movies about Baseball of the '90s. ROOKIE OF THE YEAR is about a 12-year-old boy named Henry Rowengartener (Thomas Ian Nicholas) who ends up playing for the Chicago Cubs - being the youngest person ever to play in Major League Baseball - because he tripped on a Baseball and broke his arm and can now pitch a ball faster than 100 miles per hour. The Chicago Cubs is one of the lousist teams in the majors and the owner of the Chicago Cubs was looking for somebody who could really play Baseball. This movie also comes with a great, positive message: No matter how young you are, nothing is impossible. It's a great movie for both kids and adults and it's very funny, too. I highly recommend this movie to all Baseball fans. Even if you're not a Baseball fan you should still see this movie. The acting is very great, too. And Thomas Ian Nicholas is so cute. Buy it!
Rating: Summary: Medical Mishap = World Class Pitcher & Great Fun Review: Rookie of the year is one of my favorite movies from when I was a kid. I don't know about the DVD, but the movie's great. A kid breaks his arm and then the tendons fuse together to give him a 100+ mph pitch that blows the socks off of the scouts for the Chicago Cubs. He gets a contract and plays for them, but will all his dreams come true, or come crashing down?! Mowahaha! Definately get this one and watch it with the kids!!
