Rating: Summary: Stupid gags, over-acting, and totally unrealistic situations Review: ...But that's what make this movie as funny as it is! No, this movie isnt for everyone. However, there are times in this movie I thought I was going to fall over I was lauging so hard. I didnt know how much to expect when I rented this movie, but damn Im glad I did! I'm not going to sit here and psycho-analyze this film (it's a comedy for Pete's sake), nor am I going to give a brief description of it (isnt that what Amazon does or the back cover of any DVD or VHS does?). However, I am going to recommend this even to non-fans of wrestling...you'll get a big kick out of this one too!
Rating: Summary: Some What funny, but you got to be a wrestling fan! Review: 80% of the movie is pro-wrestling (witch I happen to be a big fan of the wreslting) IF you are strictly a WWE (WWF) fan and hate WCW dont brother even looking at it. IT is pretty korney diologe but some good acting, And yes we know Wrestling it pre-detemed but this movie takes it as if it is real, and push's the fantesy life a little to FAR! in certan parts. Alough this movie does have some enteraning parts Watch it on HBO or something but dont waste your money on [buying] it! It will make your night more boring.
Rating: Summary: "Ready to Rumble" Lacks A Certain Flair Review: And I'm not just talking sophisticated, urbane dialogue here. I'm talking the man who best represents World Championship Wrestling, the federation promoted in this tape. "Ready to Rumble" would have been a 4-star masterpiece if it featured 14-time WCW Heavyweight Champion, Nature Boy Ric Flair. (WOOOOO!) At its best, "Ready to Rumble" offers dazzling wrestling photography choreographed with Busby Berkley-esque skill by WCW Superstar Chris Kanyon and a great (albeit short) sequence featuring Macho Man Randy Savage, (OOOOOOH YEAH!) but, unfortunately, all that is obscured by a paper-thin plot and unbelievable characterizations by David Arquette, Scott Caan, Oliver Platt, and actors who deserve better, such as Martin Landau. I would like to give big ups to WCW's new chairman, Shane McMahon, and Shane-O Mac,if you're reading this, I hope you don't greenlight a "Ready to Rumble 2."
Rating: Summary: A sophisticated Dumb and Dumber Review: Dumb and Dumber had Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. Bill and Ted had Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter and the upcoming Dude. Wheres My Car we will be introduced to the team of Sean William Scott and Ashton Kutcher. "Ready To Rumble" has David Arquette and Scott Caan and these two successfully pull it of, and prove to be a winning duo. Gordie and Sean (Arquette and Caan) are hardcore wrestling fans and are especially fond of Jimmy King (Oliver Platt). When he is thrown out and vows never to wrestle again, Gordie and Sean think it's in their best interest to stop this and have Jimmy King prove once and for all, wrestling is far from fake and he's the ultimate champion. Mostly this flim is a road flick, with Arquette and Caan going cross country to get Platt. Next to the three leads there is a great ensemble cast including Martin Landau (As a wrestling coach), Caroline Rhea - Hilda off Sabrina -(As Platt's former wife) and Rose McGowan (As a nitro cheerleader). This film does fall flat occasionally although there are some genuinely funny moments. Adam Goldberg and Sting are just two of the professional wrestlers that guest star in this flick, that i personally think belongs to Caan. As he delivers some of the funniest lines and moments (including dancing and singing his way through "Baby One More Time" by Britney Spears). VIOLENCE - Is just wrestling type, all though when it gets serious, it does look quite painful LANGUAGE - Very little SEX - We are aware Caan and a girl do the deed, but nothing is shown NUDITY - Caan's behind, (reprising his Varsity Blues moment) Overall it's a fairly enjoybale buddy comedy. But don't be expecting anything new.
Rating: Summary: HOW was I let down by an Arquette/wrestling movie? Review: I don't know what was going on in my head, but I expected this movie to be somewhat humorous. Perhaps it's that I'm a big Oliver Platt fan. Or maybe I had been standing too close to the microwave that day. I didn't think they still made movies this bad in this day and age, but I was proven wrong. At least with most of the "toilet humor" movies (South Park, Dumb And Dumber, etc.) you can giggle, then feel like an idiot for thinking a fart joke was funny, but here you just feel like an idiot, without the giggling. If not for the risque nature of many of the jokes, I could write it off as a kid's summer comedy, but all things point to...oh,I don't know... The end of the world? Steer clear, for the sake all that is decent and pure. I have looked evil in the eye and it is Ready To Rumble.

Rating: Summary: Oooooook Review: I picked this up to rent one night because basically I love wrestling and anything with wrestling sparks an interest within me. The movie is about two guys, Gordie (David Arquette,Scream) and Sean (Scott Cann,American Outlaws) who want to get their favorite wrestler of all time, Jimmy King (Oliver Platt, Don't Say A Word) back into the WCW wrestling federation. King was screwed out of the company and the title by Sinclair (Joe Pantoliano, The Matrix) the owner of the company in the film. So the two friends embark on a quest to get him one last shot against the new champion Diamond Dallas Page. (as himself of course) The movie is full of jokes and stunts that all move fans can enjoy but only wrestling fans will surely apperciate the little things that appear in the film that relate to wrestling. The wrestlers in the movie all play themselves but for some reason are very humorus at times. (Hint : There is a scene in the movie where Physco Sid and Perry Saturn are crying and wrestling fans will surely get a kick out of it) This movie is mainly geared towards wrestling fans. I have heard reviews of how this movie makes the wrestling fan look idiotic. This is not the case it just shows that we know that is a show and we don't care! Don't tell us it's fake...you won't like what we give you in return. (Another scene that is hilarious in the film..you'll see what I mean) Basically, catch this one if your a wrestling fan, you won't regret it. P.S - Don't let anyone tell you that wrestling is phony! These guys are seriously the best athletes in the world.

Rating: Summary: A wrestling comedy that made me laugh! Review: I thought this movie was great. It explores the wrestling topic and gives us an insight on fans who are crazed by it. I loved this movie. Rose McGowan stars in this hit alongside David Arquette, Scott Caan and Oliver Platt. It had me laughing now and again and it also had me watching it three times in a row.
