Summary: Forgive my husband; he knows not what he does.
Review: Good old Clark Wilhelm Griswold, Jr. Could you think of anyone else you would want to sit down and watch his Christmas mishaps, in his own house? Me neither. This is THE Christmas movie you have to watch every year, as it's the best in my opinion. Moreover, who doesn't love the characters?

Jeremiah S. Chechik directs this masterpiece. His only other mentionable movie is Benny & Joon. However, John Hughes (Dennis the Menace, Home Alone 1 through 4, Dutch, Uncle Buck, The Great Outdoors, Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Weird Science, Pretty in Pink, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, and National Lampoon's Vacation) produced, and wrote Christmas vacation. I guess if you look at his resume, you can see why this movie is so, so good.

Jeremiah S. Chechik works with an all-star cast that includes Chevy Chase as Clark Wilhelm Griswold, Jr. (no one else could ever play this role), Beverly D'Angelo as Ellen Griswold (I would prefer no one else ever play this role), Juliette Lewis as Audrey Griswold, and Randy Quaid as cousin Eddie (yes, no one else can play this role either). They all work so well together, and act as the dysfunctional family you have grown to love.

I must say of all the "Vacation" movies, it is impossible for me to pick a favorite, or least favorite. I would try to say this has to be in the top two "Vacation" movies, and then when I try and pick a favorite, it may switch back and forth between two others. European Vacation is my least favorite, but I honestly love the other three equally (yes even Vegas Vacation, I can't stop laughing at that movie, I don't know why, guilty pleasure I guess).

This is a must have movie in your DVD collection. In terms of holiday movies, it is far and away one of the best. Definitely, a movie you can feel comfortable buying before ever seeing. Also, a movie you will get your moneys worth, as you will at least watch it once per year, if not more.

Summary: It's a bit Nipply out!
Review: "Christmas Vacation" is quite possibly one of the funniest movies ever, despite it being Christmas or not. It is so truthful as to how human beings act when things do not go our way. And, don't lie, everyone has an Eddie in their family. This movie is the perfect movie to watch whether you are in a good mood or a bad mood, for it will only make it better. This is the perfect comedy full of laughs proven to put a smile on Helen Keller's face!
