Summary: Funny for a certain subsection of the population
Review: This is a funny movie if you are not sober. Drunk, stoned, whatever: this movie is better while intoxicated. The first 10 minutes are the funniest; it's all downhill from there. The story is kind of lame, but it is still funny. The humor is not as uproarious after the first scene, but it's still entertaining. Males 18-35 and college students should appreciate this movie the most.

Summary: Ridiculously funny
Review: This is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen in my life. My best friend is a VT State Trooper and initially resisted this movie because he thought it was insulting, but once he watched it, he loved it too. Apparently humor varies widely from one person to the next, it seems that some people reviewing it here really didn't care for it. :) I wonder what they find funny?

Review: This movie is hilarious. I don't understand how there possibly can be 15 one star reviews for this movie. IF u don't find this movie funny what movies do you find funny. i just dont know. Anyway this movie is genius and it keeps you laughin the whole time. It also has one of the funniest opening seens ever. The one liners in it are second only to Napoleon dynamite. So if you want a hilarious movie taht never gets old you shoiuld try out Super Troopers because unless you have no sense of humor you shuld enjoy it

Review: This movie was written and performed by a comedy troupe known as Broken Lizard which explains why the movie seems like a series of sketches pasted together with filler material. The guys play very bad highway patrolmen who are trying not to lose their jobs. The jokes are scattershot. Some will make you laugh out loud until you can't breathe, some will emit a chuckle and many others will just sit there and go nowhere. This is a decent comedy but not one that will have you laughing non-stop.

Summary: A Complete Surprise
Review: When I first saw the previews to this film, I felt like I stepped into a time warp back to the 80's. Was this movie trying to be Cannonball Run? Police Academy? Why? WHY?On the recommendation of a friend, I swallowed my fears and my dislike of so-called "wacky" comedies and shelled out the cash to see Super Troopers. I was almost embarassed to even walk into the theater, but I'll tell you what...it was the best $7 I've spent in a long time. All the other reviews of this film seem to emphasize that the movie is "slapstick," and "brainless." I'd actually disagree with that diagnosis. On the contrary, I think this is really a very smart film. Why? Beacuse it doesn't rely on formulaic plot devices, or try to squeeze in a contrived family-friendly moral(like the wretched "Orange County"). Rather, it just presents some of the most original, unexpected, laugh-out loud comedy I've ever seen. It's just plain funny--Funny beacuse you don't see the jokes, punchlines, or plot twists coming from a mile away.(Hey, "Orange County." Once again, I'm looking at you!). If you're a fan of Kids in the Hall or the Upright Citizens Brigade, see this film. See it now. You won't be disappointed.
