Summary: Great Movie but..........
Review: A true American classic. This will be required viewing in anthropology classes in a thousand years (yes, even at Harvard). Rodney's insults are to die for, and Bill Murray rapping with Chevy Chase, well, we baby-boomers remember times like that. The movie is so stupid, it's irresistable.

I have the tape version and want the DVD real bad, but based on the reviews, I'll wait until a decent DVD version is released.

Summary: Greatest golf movie of all time.
Review: Need I say any more?
Could have more special features to the DVD, but the 19th hole (making of) is worth it by itself.

Summary: A Classic
Review: Great movie. Dangerfield steals the show with his always funny one-liners. You'd think that the 20th Anniversary would have seperate deleted scenes and outtakes instead of being in the documentary.

"Sorry Sir, but if I kill all the golfers, their gonna lock me up and throw away the key"
"Gophers, not golfers! The little brown furry rodents."

Summary: Classic entertainment
Review: This movie gave Bill Murray a place to show case his talent of being a weird oddball character that somehow becomes enduring. While he wasn't the star of this movie, I believe it was the last time he did not get top billing and I still recall this movie as being a "Bill Murray" film. Yes, Dangerfield and Chase are funny, both playing funny characters, but the scenes in which Murray is talking to himself, explaining life or trying to kill the gopher are classic. The main complaint about this film is that with about two minutes of editing it could have received a pg or in today's ratings a pg13 a that would have made it a better film.
All in all a funny movie and a strong recommendation to any Murray, Chase or Dangerfield fan, plus those that enjoy somewhat offbeat silly coming of age teenage comedies.

Summary: "Pick up that blood!"
Review: This is the classic comedy which has been quoted over and over. The sound and image are great. God rest Ted Knight's soul. Own it, you know you've already seen it twenty times

Summary: CHASE , MURRAY , DANGERFIELD , AND KNIGHT STEAL THE MOVIE!!
Review: This is one of the funniest comedies ever. Originally , this film was to , strongly , focus on the young caddies in the film (Michael O'Keefe and company) but the adults that they had in the film happened to be powerhouse comedic actors ; Chevy Chase , Bill Murray , Rodney Dangerfield , and the late great Ted Knight. These four actors (along with a mechanical gopher) are the reasons why this film absolutely rocks with outrageous comedy. Murray's slobby sad sap , Chase's understated quirkiness , Rodney's scene stealing , and Knight's upper-class bravado is what fuels this crazy film with each actor holding their own among each other but all four steal the movie from their younger counterparts. Just too much comedic energy to handle here.

The DVD comes with a documentary called "The 19th Hole" . It shows an unedited outtake with Chase and Murray. You get interviews with Harold Ramis and Chevy Chase but you don't get an interview with Dangerfield or Murray.

Summary: A must have!
Review: A great golf film. Even better because it is a comedy that pokes fun at the environment where I earn my living.

If you don't like this film then you are probably portrayed by one of the characters in the film. In which case you should lighten up a bit.

Summary: "Be The Ball......"
Review: Caddyshack has to be one of the top comedies of all time. It is classic and hilarious!. You gets sports and comedy!. Anyways, there's not much plot here. It's the snobs against the slobs at a posh, private country club. This film showcases some of the best work from funnymen Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Rodney Dangerfield, and the late great Ted Knight. Bill Murray cxreated his most famous character with a speech problem that has become the most often used impression of Bill Murray. Don't forget the scene in the pool with the candy bar. It's absolutely heartbreaking to think that this classic comedy had to be marred by the absolutely awful pile of crap that was Caddyshack 2. At least Chevy came back for some decent comic relief in that one. Forget about the sequel. This is a comedy must!.

Summary: Kenny Loggins' Finest Moment ?
Review: I have to remember NEVER to go back and watch, as an adult, those movies I loved when I was a kid. Despite my unnaturally fond memories, I must now confess that I find CADDYSHACK to be so poorly and crassly realized that it has caused me to regret my childhood.
What good can be said of this idiotfest? It's got a cute gopher (who is hardly in the movie), a great Rodney Dangerfield (likewise wasted, except for his wonderous opening scene), and an almost funny Bill Murray (at least he's trying).
All else is abominable. Ted Knight, a great and undervalued comedian, is left painfully stranded (after this, "Too Close for Comfort" was a major step up). The whole, poorly acted, half baked (and unresolved) teenager subplot makes MEATBALLS seem profound by comparison. It even fails as a sex comedy. And do we really need a seduction scene with Chevy chase and massage oil? How masochistic did the producers think their audience was in 1980?
As for the the ludicrous, accompanying dvd "documentary": is it just me, or are Harold Ramis and Chevy Chase competing for the most self-satisfied, smug position in Hollywood's washed up hills? They're every bit as unwatchable as their slug of a movie.

Summary: Any real mans favorite
Review: This is a favorite movie of any real man. It has the perfect blend of beautiful women, hilarious comedy (with Bill Murray and Chevy Chase), and gophers. Just read Maxim magazine and all will realize that this is the perfect gift for any man on his birthday, fathers day or christmas.
